MOT: Welcome back wrestling fans! The Commissioner of the 'Z' announced this morning that a 16 man single elimination tournament will kick off on this card and conclude on the next broadcast of THURSDAY NIGHT TAKEDOWN to determine the number one contender for Tournament Master's GWFZ Championship title at the GWF's WRESTLEWAR 2008; MARTIAL LAW PaPer View! KRAM: That's right unwashed masses! A tournament to determine who gets beat by the Tournament Master next. Speaking of which, the champion himself will be here to help me spark interest in this broadcast since you are terrible at the mic! MOT: Sure, whatever you say Kram! However, you are right that the GWFZ Champion will be here toward the second half of this broadcast. We also will have an update on Harm's condition before the broadcast is over! KRAM: I am betting that his condition is "Retired". You almost forgot that the main event tonight will be Beer Money facing off against the GWFZ Tag Champions- Headliners for the Tag Team titles! MOT: To be honest, I didn't mention it because the challengers have no chance to win those convented straps from the Headliners after getting shellacked last night by CTA Muscle! Anyway fans, the opening bout is about to begin...GWFZ Contender Tournament Match: MAIN EVENT made quick work of The Legacy: The Paparazzi member easily put the Dorado native out of the tournament after a DDT stunner that set up a Most Valuable Piledriver for a failed pin attempt. After Latasha distracted Legacy, The Main Event locked on the SIGN ON THE LINE for the victory. ( 1/2 *).
GWFZ Contender Tournament Match: RUSH lucked out against Dark Star Creature (by disqualification): The Aethran Cruiserweight kept his undefeated streak alive but the Dark Star Creature pulverized Rush from the opening bell! The Creature used a creature claw, Goldie Locks, MILKY WAY finisher, but the referee called for the Creature's handler to activate the collar after the Plaxibus native used PRIMAL RAGE. According to the GWFZ contract, the beast was disqualified! (*).KRAM: Wow! I wish Latasha would distract my attention with her "feminine charms"! A matter of fact, I have to get lucky with those charms...MOT: Shame on you! Do you ever consider the consequences on others when you make those comments? [Looks at Kram and his alter ego just looks puzzled] KRAM: What do you mean? However, the Creature was robbed and just because he is a heel type the referee won't allow his finisher to be used!?!? That is not fair...MOT: That shock collar is there to prevent everyone around the Dark Star Creature from getting harmed! Speaking of which, it reported a few minutes ago that as a result of his plummeting through the cage floor at the SEPARATION ANXIETY PaPer View that Harm has sustained a bruised vertebrae and will miss a undetermined amount of time here in the GWFZ. Everyone hopes he heals quickly and returns once he is ready to compete. KRAM: Hey..hey...hey...slow down Mot! Do not include me in wishing him a quick return! The fed needs another good guy in the ring like they need a hole in the head! Take your time Harm...you will not be missed! Speaking of not being missed, the next match is about to start...GWFZ Contender Tournament: STRONG won by disqualification against UMAGAPOTAMUS: The Andromedan was dominating against the former GWFZ champion and even had Strong busted open after a Hanging Flying Hippo Head Butt! Umagapotamus continued to pulverize the 'D' resident but failed to break the five count after he began choking Strong with the ropes that surrounded the ring. The referee awarded the match to Strong as a result of a disqualification! (** 1/2).
TIRION TRIPLE THREAT: PYRE & BRYMSTONEdowned Duplos & Malpractice: This match was awesome as all three teams put up a helluva fight! Doctor Payne nearly won the match for Malpractice with the KO TEMPLE CLAW finisher but Gemin would make the save! Gemello almost pinned Leviathan with a small package counter but would be brought down after he would be caught in a LD 50 for the match to end! (***).
GWFZ Contender Tournament: Ares tapped out to Morbid: This contest was the fastest match of the evening as Morbid went for blood quickly after the bell with a Bloody Straight Jacket that sent Ares reeling for cover! Only moments later, Morbid locked on with MORBIDLY CRUEL for the victory. (DUD).[Pyrotechnics erupt in the arena]KRAM: Here he comes Mot...all the unwashed masses should kneel in the GWFZ Champion's presence! The one...the only...Tournament Master!MOT: [Tournament Master gets to the announcing table and arrogantly takes Mot's headphones and puts them on his own] .... TOURNAMENT MASTER Thank you Kram for that warm welcome! And like I said to Commissioner Nexus earlier today, this tournament is a wash without the best professional athlete putting his name in the ring.KRAM: I agree! You have defended the convented GWFZ title against all comers and even some of the GWF talent! [Mot is trying to get the headphones from Kram with no success] Will you stop Mot! No one wants to hear what you're 'holier than thou' comments anyway! Let's take the unwashed masses to the action...TOURNAMENT MASTER: Would be better if I was in the ring but these two non-talented hacks will have to do I guess.GWFZ Contender Tournament: Assassin X outsmarted Sledgend: The match was started off with a quick Blind Side Splash by Sledgend on the masked henchman! The Orion native went for SHATTERING DEVASTATION maneuver but Assassin X countered with a school boy roll up for the upset pin. (*).
Hybernation Domination put away Moral Majority: This match should have been a little closer than it actually was but Sabre was still suffering from an injury from Motor Psycho on the PaPer View SEPARATION ANXIETY! Varsity was brutalized by Xiongmao and even suffered a KOALA CLAW from Cuddly Claw! Varsity had no other choice than to tag out to the vixen and she was pummeled for several minutes and was given the three count after Xiongmao used a Panda Bear Hug. (** 1/2).
GWFZ Contender Tournament: NarcotiK pinned Hegemony: The Maxus wrestler used his power advantage to stymie any offense that Hegemony could muster against him. At the eight minute mark, NarcotiK countered a back suplex with a Adrenaline Shot and used three THE NEEDLE AND THE SPOON finishers to advance to the next round! (* 1/2). The arena's teletron sprang to life...The three images on the screen began to tell the audience that they are the Lost Animal Xchange (or LAX for short) and have come from the streets of Andromeda Prime to send the team of Hybernation Domination at the local veterinarian's office...
The introduced themselves (left to right) as: Skrit, Pouch, and Bandito...and they will be coming to arena near you ... Bandito looked square into the vidcam and declared; " Desean vivo el LAX y los roedores por todas partes!"KRAM: Wow..more Animen in the GWFZ?!? They do however look tough... [Kram breaks out in hysterical laughter]TOURNAMENT MASTER: [While giving Mot a threatening glare] [/b] Exactly Kram! Between the stuff animal cartel we already have in the GWFZ and the three coming soon, I think I need to have my doctor make sure no fleas migrated this way! You're right...how tough can a squirrel, an opossum, or a raccoon be anyways right? KRAM: Well, it depends on whether or not they're storing nuts for winter or not! however, I digress for the moment and want to ask the champ if any of the previous matches have interested you at all?TOURNAMENT MASTER: Ummm...simply put...not really! I am interested to see my brothers in crime-Beer Money's match later! The Headliners have been stinking up the GWFZ Tag Championships for quite awhile now and it is time for a change.Well Kram, it has been been an honor to sit next to you and give my input but I have a rendezvous with someone special."KRAM: I don't want to pry but anyone special?TOURNAMENT MASTER: As much as I would like to say, I cannot exactly go into detail but the next match is about to start and I will tell you during the bout. this way the identity stays secret and the "unwashed masses" won't here who exactly I am meeting with!KRAM: Deal! You heard the champ...the next match is about to start! And before you head out, it has been a pleasure chatting with you tonight!GWFZ Contender Tournament: Ensor outwrestledOVERTIME: This match had a lot of high flying moves that just made the fan's jaws drop in awe! The former Grav ball player nearly garnered the three count after THE CLINCHER but the Martian managed to reach the ropes with his foot in time! Overtime argued with the referee about how he thought he had pinned Ensor! In the meantime, this gave Ensor enough time to recover and use his ERUPTION OF THARSIS to cover the temperamental Titan for the three count. (** 1/2).
GWFZ Contender Tournament: Pride punished Troy Boy:The second member of the Paparazzi team didn't come out with either music or Latasha and just seemed sluggish on this particular evening! The Earthling simply ran circles around the newcomer and would use a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and then finish the first round of the Contenders Tournament with a PRIDE & PREJUDICE maneuver! ( 1/2 *).GWFZ TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TITLEMATCH: BEER MONEY captured the GWFZ Tag Championships from HEADLINERS: Holy crap! this match was THE best match of the evening as beer Money has gone undefeated in the developmental league since getting a team name! The Headliners were simply not as hungry for the gold to stay around their waists and were simply hanging on for dear life for later parts of the match! Both members of Beer Money used their finishers on Darth Brooks as his forehead was well split open before the end of the night and his partner-Grillz didn't fair as well either! Grillz would be the recipient of a HELL's ANGEL and Motor Psycho would tag out to Irish heat for the Irishman to finish the match off with DROPPING HEAT to become the new GWFZ Tag Team champions! (****). The duo of Irish Heat and Motor Psycho embraced and were stunned as the fact they were actually the developmental league's Tag champions! the vidcam showed Darth Brooks on the mat covered in crimson as the broadcast went off the air..." Great edition of Thursday Night Takedown.
I always really enjoy reading the dialog you have for Mot and Kram- you do an excellent job with writing that stuff.
And I agree with the others who like LAX, the Lost Animal Exchange.
For the tournament, I'll pick Narcotik to win but it would also be cool if Main Event won because he's one of my favorite current GWF wrestlers.
And congrats to Beer Money for winning the GWFZ Tag Team Championship!
