It doesn't look good for Titus next time out. Bennett's got the legendary Brutal Bob, most underrated and underutilized talent in the company. Titus fell once, and I bet it happens again.
Generico vs. Punk. I hope we get to see this one happen in real life soon.

Tommaso Ciampa vs Bryan Danielson This was a hard hitting opening match. Both guys threw everything at each other. Ciampa survived both a CATTLE MUTILATION and a TRIANGLE CHOKE to fight back but it was not use and he finally had to tap out to a second TRIANGLE CHOKE to give Danielson a much needed win.
World TV Title Match Mike Bennett vs Rhett Titus Bennett was supremely confident coming into this match being that he beat Titus last week. This time though he had Maria at ringside with him instead of Brutal Bob and that proved to be the difference in the match. Both guys were all over each other and neither could get a clear advantage to take control. Finally Titus got control and never let up. He nailed Bennett with a MUFF DRIVER and Maria was too late in her distraction that Titus got the three count and retains the TV Title.
The Dojo Bros vs The House of Truth Coming into this match Strong was in a very foul mood and insisted on starting the match over Elgin. That was a mistake as Edwards and Cole were all over Strong and Elgin never got into the match. Eddie pounded Roddy from pillar to post then tagged in Cole to finish the job. Elgin managed to break up a pin after one FLORIDA KEY to save the match but after a FLYING CROSSBODY Truth Martini entered the ring and tried to smash Cole with the Book of Truth. Cole was having non of that and avoided the hit grabbing the book and smashing Truth with it instead. Cole then hit Strong with another FLORIDA KEY and while Elgin was checking on Truth Martini he had no time to save Strong and Cole got the three count.
Kevin Steen vs Mike Mondo Mondo came out of the gate like a House of Fire and that surprised Steen who figured he would have an easy match. Eventually Steen got control of the match and pounded Mondo into the ground then finished him off with an impressive 450 Splash to get the win.
El Generico vs CM Punk Match number 2 on Punks quest for a title match with Roderick Strong at Midwest Showdown. Much like Davey Richards Generico did not give Punk and easy match. A SPIKED BRAINBUSTER from Generico almost ended things but Punk battled back. El Generico managed to kick out of a PEPSI PLUNGE but was no match for a Pepsi Twist that gave Punk his second win.

See? Brutal Bob = wins. Bennett without Brutal Bob just can't get the job done.

See? Brutal Bob = wins. Bennett without Brutal Bob just can't get the job done. I am starting to see that Mark. I still have plans for Bennett so we will see what happens. Thanks for the comments.

Roderick Strong hits the ring to start the show and he is all smiles, almost cocky like.
RS: "Well Punk somehow you managed to defeat two opponents on your way to facing me next week at Midwest Showdown. But I am sorry to say that your streak ends tonight. Nigel was gracious enough to let me pick your final opponent, and well let's just say that he is going to smash you into the ground. You see Punk tonight your opponent is "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin!"
RS: "So it was nice while it lasted Punk, unfortunately for you it will be your last match and I will take next week off!"
Homicide vs Colt Cabana In an extremely quick match Colt was all over Cide from the opening bell and just never let up. It took two COLT .45's in 2 minutes to give Colt the win.
The Young Bucks vs C&C Wrestle Factory Wow what a match! It was back and forth for a bit then the Bucks took over. Matt would try a MOONSAULT but ended up crashing and C&C would take over. They managed to mistime a C&C CONNECTION COMBO and it was all Bucks from there. One MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK later the Bucks get the win.
The music of Mike Bennett hits and out he comes with Maria and Brutal Bob in tow. Bennett is not a happy camper as he gets a mic.
MB: "Ok Titus last week you beat me, big deal. I dont blame Maria because she was just doing her best, I blame you! Dont think for one second that I am done with you because I am not! In fact I want another shot at the TV Title at Midwest Showdown! So Titus either you accept my challange or I get Nigel to make the match anyway!
Rhino vs Claudio Castagnoli Now this was a hard hitting match. Neither Rhino or Claudio held anything back and they each took the momentum away from the other every chance they got. Eventually Claudio threw Rhino outside and brought him over to the announce table, where Rhino was planted with a nasty RICOLA BOMB to draw the DQ.
Jay Lethal vs Jimmy Jacobs Wow this was a great if not quick match. Both Lethal and Jacobs countered everything that each other threw out, but in the end Jacobs could not counter out of a dragon suplex and Lethal gets the 3.
CM Punk vs Michael Elgin w/ Truth Martini All we can saw is WOW! Elgin beat Punk around the ring seemingly just toying with him. Punk would get spurts of offense but Elgin would just knock him back down. Roderick Strong even came down at one point and tried to get involved but it was all for naught. Punk finally managed a comeback and kept up the pressure knocking Elgin loopy just long enough to get him in the corner and nail a PEPSI PLUNGE to get the win and go on to Midwest Showdown to face Strong for the Title.
Following the match Punk was just smiling and waving to Strong who was on the outside having a temper tantrum while trying to help Elgin up and to the back.

ROH presents Midwest Showdown February 23, 2013 Iowa Events Center, Des Moines, IA
Delirious vs El Generico What a way to start off Midwest Showdown! This match lasted all of 3 minutes though. Delirious tried a jab to the throat but Generico countered and threw Delirious into the ropes. Delirious came back and nailed a sweet piledriver on Generico then followed up with a BIZZARO DRIVER. Generico kicked out so Delirious hit another BIZZARO DRIVER and this time El Generico stayed down.
SCUM vs Dojo Bros This was an all out war! The Bros had Jacobs in trouble early on and nearly finished him off a few times but he managed to escape and avoided the loss with Corinos help. Then SCUM took over and they never looked back. Corino did the heavy lifting by wearing Cole down and Jacobs finished him off. Jimmy managed to sneek in a RAILROAD SPIKE passed the ref right into the face of Adam Cole while Corino dealt with Eddie Edwards to allow SCUM to get the victory.
ROH World TV Title Match Mike Bennett vs Rhett Titus (c) Mike Bennett got his wish for a rematch with Rhett Titus, and even with both Brutal Bob and Maria at ringside providing multiple distractions it still was not enough. Both men beat each other from pillar to post but in the end Bennett made one fatal mistake and Titus hit a MUFF DRIVER to get the win and retain the TV Title.
Kevin Steen vs Davey Richards Wow, this match was practically all Davey Richards. He was all over Steen from the bell and just wouldnt let up. Steen tried to break the momentum but was unable to do so and had to resort to covering up when he could. In the end Davey went to the ANKLE LOCK 3 times and Steen finally had to tap from the pain.
ROH World Tag Team Title Match Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs The Briscoes (c) The Briscoes were not messing around in this match. They came in and just dominated Charlie Haas never once letting Shelton make an appearance. Both Briscoes beat Charlie around the ring and prevented Shelton from making the save numerous times. Finally Charlie could take no more and fell to a mighty CUT-THROAT DRIVER to keep the tag titles with The Briscoes.
ROH World Heayweight Title Match CM Punk vs Roderick Strong (c) You could feel the hatred in this match and cut the tension with a knife. As soon as the bell rang Punk and Strong went at it smashing each other all over the ring. Not too long after that Strong took over and didnt let up. He beat Punk all over and had the match won on more than one occasion but Punk kept kicking out and not staying down. Then Strong got too frustrated and made a mistake that put Punk back in the match. Punk almost got the win and the title off of a PEPSI PLUNGE but Truth Martini pulled the ref out of the ring, allowing Strong to get up and go on the attack. Punk was already weakened and just could not handle yet another SICK KICK from Strong and this time stayed down for the 3.
Colt Cabana came down to the ring to help out Punk as Strong and Martini celebrated when more familiar music hit the speakers.
Strong was looking at the entrance ramp ready for whoever it was when out of the crowd and from behind came Samoa Joe! He jumped Strong from behind and put him in the REAR NAKED CHOKE! The crowd was going nuts for Joe as Strong lay there trying to get out and Punk finally managed to get up and get a mic. Cabana took care of Truth Martini while Punk spoke.
Punk: "I told you that WE were not going anywhere Roddy! Now because of your no good manager you beat me tonight, but as you can see and feel I am the least of your problems at the moment! Don't think that this changes anything, I am still coming for you and I WILL get the Title from you, it is just a matter of time. Oh yeah and say hello to the newest member of WE, Samoa Joe!"
Strong by this point had passed out from the pain and Joe finally let him go. He stood up and hugged Punk, then the three of them left the ring to cheers from the crowd and Joe to chants of WELCOME BACK!

What a night it was last week at Midwest Showdown! Samoa Joe made his return and took out a victorious Roderick Strong and much more! Joe will be in action tonight and we will also hear from Strong so lets get to the action!
Jay Lethal vs Tommaso Ciampa What a way to start off ROH TV! Lethal and Ciampa just tore into each other but soon Lethal got the advantage and never gave it up. Finally a LETHAL INJECTION was just too much for Ciampa and he stayed down for the three.
The music of the House of Truth hit and out came Roderick Strong and Truth Martini. Strong was still in pain and holding his neck from the attack of Joe last week, plus he was not in the good mood he should be in. He snatched the mic and spoke.
RS: "Samoa Joe, who the hell do you think you are? What excuse do you have for attacking me after such a grueling match and hard fought victory! Then there is you Punk! Face it you lost to me fair and square at Midwest Showdown, but yet you are crying about it and saying that you are not done with me yet? I have news for you, I am done with you! As far as I am concerned you will not get another shot at me and MY title, and that is a promise! So you and your little group and just shove off, because I am the World Heavyweight Champion and there is nothing YOU or your little followers can do about it!"
Adam Cole vs Claudio Castagnoli You had to admire Adam Cole's never say die attitude in this match. Claudio beat him from pillar to post and then some but Cole would not quit. Cole did manage a comeback and almost had Claudio beat but it just wasnt enough and one mighty RICOLA BOMB later Adam Cole was nothing more than a stain on the mat.
Samoa Joe vs Kyle O'Reilly Well Joe did not disappoint in his debut match. He and O'Reilly just went at it, but it did not take long for Joe to get the advantage and not give it up. He even went to a ground and pound to keep Kyle down. In the end it was a powerbomb and kept Kyle down for the count and gave Joe his first win.
Thank you for joining us tonight, we will be back again next week with more exciting action!
