* Mensar (1) looks like an absolute beast defeating Rack (6) & Ruin (2) by himself (Tyranny never tags in) w STAR DESTROYER on Rack. *** 1/2

It’s a stunning loss for Desolation Factor making Payback Time the winners of the Gladiator Bracket.

After the match, Tyranny is overjoyed and says that Takeover isn’t done yet! Next they’ll be coming for the COTG TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!

But Mensar no sells this announcement and walks off alone leaving Tyranny embarrassed.

After the match Holocaust assisted Sectarian, helping him up and seemingly inviting him to join the Gladiator Hunter team as part of W.A.R. Sectarian appeared to accept and the two left together up the ramp.

JOHNNY ROCKET’S LAUNCHING PAD - Special Guests: CROSSROADS OF THE GALAXY KING OF KRONOS Mayday and the Defenders of the Realm. Ace of Diamonds stands stoically off to the side as Mayday explains to Exo-Knight how he must defeat the Mad Bishop, and keep him far away from the crown.

The Mad Bishop plays with matches in the background, lighting his own fingertips on fire while seemingly oblivious to the orders of Mayday.

“A Mad King would burn Kronos to the ground.” explains Mayday.

“I am your king and you must obey my every command.” says Mayday. “The Bishop is loyal to the crown. Not me. And he won’t hesitate to try and hurt us if given the chance to take it. The only one who can stop him now - is you!”

* COTG TRIOS CHAMPIONS Champions Oath (Omega, Cosmos & Chaos Supreme) retain the titles beating Regeneration by disqualification when the Alchemists are disqualified after a pin save that stopped Chaos Supreme from submitting XENOLITH w BOW OF DEFEAT. **

* Mentor (4) & Preceptor (5) defeat Payback (6) & Overtime (6) when Preceptor pins Payback with a running power bomb to win TOURNAMENT OF THE IMMORTAL TAG TEAMS. *****

Mentor & Preceptor are showered with cheers from the hometown Kronos crowd. They give a commencement speech putting over the College of Kronos, and all the riches of education they’ve obtained there spending hours in the library day and night studying their opponents.

Mentor says that Payback Time just got a Master Class in tag team wrestling, officially adopting the phrase as their new tag team name.

After the match COTG KING OF KRONOS Mayday enters the ring and stands before Mad Bishop.

Mayday lays the crown at his feet.

The galaxy and braces for a fiery reaction from Mad Bishop - but instead the hooded flamethrower bows before his king.

Mayday claims the King has been defended!

Mayday and the Defenders of the Realm are joined in the ring by the rest of the College of Kronos team. Master Class and Totalis the Tournament Master join in to assemble one giant super team!

King Mayday is the most protected king in history as we fade to black.

Mad Bishop has won Tournament of the Immortals 8, leaving Mayday to proclaim the King has been defended and every challenger has been thwarted.

Mayday lost to 4 wrestlers during the Tournament of the Immortals and all 4 (Hades, Omega, Swarm and Ghost of Terror) are claiming they’ve earned a shot at the crown!

Bracket #1: GWF GALACTIC CHAMPION Apex, Siege, Fist and GWF HEAVY METAL CHAMPION Shayne.

It’s a tense atmosphere as the GWF is back in the Aethran War Dome for the first time since Havoc exposed the Dark Menace and dropped the big Hive Mind bomb on the galaxy. There are a lot of questions about how the hometown crowd will react to GWF CHAMPION Apex who is expected to be accompanied to the ring by Deva tonight.

* Shayne (1) pins Fist (2) w EYE FOR EYE. **

GWF CHAMPION Apex gets a rowdy heroes welcome when he appears for the first time, but the first site of Deva receives violent boos.

Siege comes out to an equally loud reaction and the crowd goes wild for his return to the ring.

* Apex (3) escapes by the skin of his teeth needing just one APEX OF GLORY to pin Siege (1) and retain the GWF GALACTIC TITLE. ***

* Siege (2) pins Fist (2) w AETHRAN CRIPPLER. **

* Apex (3) escapes with his title again against Fist with the help of a controversial Deva distraction! ***

Things go from intense to uncomfortable when a group of Aethran Soldiers storm the ring with guns drawn and order Deva to the ground!

But Apex orders them to stand down!

Apex pulls Deva to safety then barks orders at the Aethran Soldiers, who cower at the feet of Apex.

* Siege (2) finishes 2-1 defeating Shayne w AETHRAN CRIPPLER. **

* Insane controversy when Shayne is rolling Apex (5) and a group of Aethran Soldiers hit the ring and beat Shayne down!

This would be an automatic disqualification anywhere in the galaxy BUT AETHRA!

The fans drool with excitement as the Aethran referee stands back allowing the Aethran Soldiers to do their thing without any repercussions!

Shayne is bloody and unconscious when the referee calls for the bell and awards the match and the bracket to GWF CHAMPION Apex! *****

DECISION STANDS!

After a long week of debating the ramifications of overturning and/or reversing the decision from Apex vs Shayne at IT 23 Bracket 1, the GWF Powers That Be voted 5-1 to allow the referees decision to stand.

Outcry from fans all over the galaxy immediately hit solar media, with a lot of fans livid with this decision. But the GWF is moving forward and into BRACKET 2.

Deva made the official announcement for the board to a battlefield of f reporters:

“Deal with it, people. You all know the rules on Aethra - which is there are no rules! Shayne knew what he signed up for. Apex is still GWF Champion and it’s time to celebrate his victory!”
