Great to see you back. There aren't enough good things I can say about this board. I dont post everyday but check it almost on a daily basis, its just part of my daily routine.
Its insane how much a card game about a predetermined sport can bring people together. I sat behind a computer and watched a group pull together and rally for one of their own. I talked to my gf about this situation a lot and had a general excitement the day I found out they found a donor and called her to tell her the news.
Anytime I met a wrestling fan thats never heard of it I bring up the game because I almost feel like their being cheated if they enjoy wrestling and never played this game.
I thank Tom, the community, and this board everyday for the fun it has brought to my life.

I've come on here a lot looking for updates, hoping it would finally be "The Day". My wife knows this community is important to me, and I've kept her updated on Rob's whole situation, and she was as excited as I was when I told her he finally got the new heart. Good to know that there's more than one significant other out there who understands our insanity and brotherhood here ;D

I can attest to that Rayge - Kelly understands the camaraderie that we all share. and I am most lucky I can share it with my son as well.
Swarm, as always, an inspiration. Stay strong.

Now you really get to enjoy the Gladiators mural at homestead! Not that that was at the top of your list of things you might have been missing while hanging out in the hospital, but definitely something you can now enjoy!
Get Strong and we'll see you this summer!

Well after visiting Rob in the hospital all I can say is WOW!
He looks great after just a week past the surgery and heard from him today that they are thinking he can go home tomorrow!
He has that spark in his personality that has been absent for some time and Rob told me that he has felt sick everyday for the past 4 years! It was a combination of the deteriorating heart and the meds they were giving him, but says that all of that is all gone!
In the hospital he said he felt like "a million bucks." He has been doing more physical work than he was expected to and said that he is a week ahead of schedule from where the docs thought he'd be.
After having a heart that was only functioning at 15% for most of his life, having one at full capacity has given him a new surge of energy and power and it's great to see.
Rob got his Cleansing and I know that he'll be better than he ever was before!
I'm so proud and happy for my bro and can't wait to have him out of that hospital and back home where he belongs!!

I keep my wife updated about Rob as well, she was excited for him along with the rest of the family. Now that he is going home and hearing that he is doing amazing that is all the better.

I gotta say it was pretty amazing to be on the phone with Rob when he found out. Put a whole new prospective on what to be thankful this year. I'll never forget hearing the emotion coming out of Rob when he found out and finally realized that what he has been waiting for for years was finally about to happy. Its a little bond I will always have with him now.
As for sharing the experience with my wife, she was right along with me. She put Rob on our church prayer list and would always ask me about his progress in the hospital. When he had the surgery, she kept asking if I heard any updates from Brett and was relived when I finally told her all was good. It was cool that she was so invested in someone that she didn't know personally, but knew meant so much to me.
This whole experience has changed me too, although not as much as Rob. Before I never thought about doing organ donations. But now seeing first hand what a difference it can make, you better believe I changed my elections on my drivers license.
I look forward to Rob getting back home and for many years ahead of seeing him at Galacticon!

You guys are the best bros in the galaxy.
I'm home. I'm happier than I've ever been.
Now that I am out of that hospital I am going actually be able to sleep...kinda forgot what that is like...
Next few days are going to be way chill. Spend time with the woman and just rest.
then it's time to wrap up GWFZ InvaZion 2124 for a December release!!
Again, thank you all so much. This whole thing has been the best time of my whole life and TGBITG was a monster part of it. I know the whole board bonded stronger than ever over this and we are all better friends and people for it. No doubt in my mind.
Love and Happiness forever -
Rob

Congrats on being home man.
The whole story is absolutely amazing, but it blows my mind that you just spent months in a hospital, had your heart replaced, and face whatever rehab lies ahead and are still able to have GWFZ InvaZion 2124 out ahead of schedule.
You sir, are incredible.
