As some promoters do, I use paper belts that I sticky note on to my cards. (Swarm has drawn some great ones for GWF in the past, that I used when I played a GWF fed on a regular basis.) I thought I'd post pictures of the title belts that I use in the USWA. I'll post each belt picture on its respective title history post as well. Thanks to Kayfabe Memories for these! USWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP This is the belt that Jerry Lawler wore, after he "unified" the AWA and WCCW World titles. I believe when the USWA officially formed in '89, this same belt was used for the rest of the company's existence. USWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP These were actually the AWA Southern Tag Team title belts, used in the late '80s in the Memphis territory. USWA SOUTHERN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP This was the Memphis territory's main singles belt, other than when the World champ would come in for a defense. (Usually it would be the AWA champ defending in Memphis. At times, the NWA champ would come in. For a period in the early '80s, Memphis had their own World champ--the CWA champ.) This version was used from 1981 through 1987, and was also used as the CWA Heavyweight title belt through 1989. USWA TEXAS CHAMPIONSHIP This was actually World Class's version of the belt, used in the mid to late '80s. It may have been used in the actual USWA in Dallas as well, but Kayfabe had a different one pictured for the early '90s version. USWA MID-AMERICA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP This championship came originally from the Nick Gulas promotion. When Jerry Jarrett took over Gulas' cities, the Memphis territory continued to recognize the title. This was typically viewed as the second most important championship in the Memphis territory, behind the Southern title. (The International championship may have been equal in importance as well.) The Southern, International, and Mid-America titles were unified into the CWA Heavyweight championship in 1987.

I was reading through this thread, to see what kinds of things I already had on here, and what might be good to add. I realized that while I had the entire tournament results listed to determine the champ, after Bobo Brazil got stripped due to injury, I never wrote up the results for the tournament to decide the first champion, which was Bobo! Better late than never!
