That's why I did it for years, but now they're just taking up too much space for me. Why I plan on eventually dropping everything except my WGX bootlegs (I'll never let those go) Yeah, the WGX stuff was pretty good. Unique. The others, would make good fire starters!

I've used some of the LFSCE in my Early Classics fed. I haven't played it for a bit and I'm way behind on the Promoter so I haven't seen any of the new ones for MONTHS. The ones I've used so far have worked fine.

Alternate Universe (kind of a bootleg) Pendakar from CPC earned a round table discussion last GCON for strongest game card found in a tournament. I think he has a 3(0) PIN, a reversal on L3D, 3 finishers and he is impossible to submit by anyone (even Monolith) I think. Guy is an absolute beast. Ya we had fun with that one last year during the Canada Cup.

His Pin is 6 (3) and they dropped the no submit mechanic from his most recent card....still probably too powerful for his position though.
That still isn't as bad as some of the bootlegs out there though...TK could tell you some stories from G-Corn.

The worst bootlegs I have seen were from this guy who called himself Serafin "The Python" Pabon. No one ever liked him except that he came online in the late 90s as a friend of Jamie B's from Newark, which he thought made him the same as Jamie B. He made a super stacked bootleg of himself as champion, and if he didn't like someone in the community, he would feed their characters to a monster called D: who had a +2, +4, and +7 finishers and ridiculous move sets like "slash with heated sword - 3 add 2" on L1O or some bullshit. All the boys used to make fun of this guy behind his back like D carried an EZ Bake Oven to the ring with him and made his opponent wait five minutes for the oven to warm up every time this move was rolled. This guy Pabon was an absolute fucking joke.
Then months later he started complaining that no one used his characters and when people fed him a bunch of bullshit about how they were "about to" bring his guys in but never did, he left the online community for good.

That still isn't as bad as some of the bootlegs out there though...TK could tell you some stories from G-Corn. Indeed...a promoter named Donald Jones that lives in Malvern, IA is caught still in the uber bootleg movement that went on several years ago...sad thing is not that he uses them but they progressively get worse...he has several cards that have ag and pw of -6, several finishers starting at +4 and getting worse from there...Avarice and myself sat down one year and tried to Rahl rate some of his guys and they easily broke 140 (dont qoute my on the number) or somewhere around there before we stopped calculating... The promoter is all about winning during our little get togethers at Mayhem in Malvern, OMGCON, ICON, and GCorn...it became such a hassle that we banned bootlegs at all but MIM (he hosts it) and only use official cards...they are no fun to play against and my kids will simply refuse to play against some of the grosser cards.... Now...that being said...I have made a few bootlegs and have violated the rules occassionally but try to right that 'wrong'...usually have individuals that are lower to upper midcard talent... I even feel bad playing with End of Days and he is official...so, in short....uberness= nah, I think I'll read a book instead!
