TOP 10 WRESTLING
Live event from The Bender Arena, in Washington, DC (was supposed to post last Sunday, sorry for the delay)
The Hobo vs. Ethan Page (w/Seleziya Sparx) (dark match) - With the recent rumors of talent releases, both men did their best to put on a good show. But Page dominated from start to finish. Will this be enough to ensure job security? WINNER BY PINFALL - ETHAN PAGE
Archibald Peck (w/Veronica) vs. Pinkie Sanchez - Never would have thought that Peck would be a leading heel, and Sanchez would be a cult favorite? Great opening match for the crowd, especially when Veronica was told to leave the ring for illegal handling of a baton (the referee couldn't understand why the audience was giggling over that). But the fans had plenty to cheer about when Sanchez won a catch styled pin reversal for the victory. Especially the big burly fan wearing the HARDCORE PINK shirt. WINNER BY PINFALL - PINKIE SANCHEZ
Mercedes Martinez vs. Athena - True clash of styles here. Athena came to the ring carried on a pedestal, while Mercedes came in through the crowd. Both women were game, but Mercedes has been on fire of late. With the use of a FISHERMAN'S BUSTER, she moves closer and closer to her match with Saraya Knight at Contest of Champions. Can the SHIMMER Championship soon be hers? WINNER BY PINFALL - MERCEDES MARTINEZ
Olympus Rising (Ares & Icarus) vs. The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark) - Hometown favorites? The Briscoe Brothers came in with tremendous support against the "Gods in Mortal Flesh". Of all the matchups, this one was the best when it came to back and forth action, with both sides looking strong. The reversal of fortunes finally caught up with Olympus, when Jay Briscoe caught Ares with THE JAY DRIVER for the win. WINNERS BY PINFALL - THE BRISCOE BROTHERS
RING OF HONOR QUALIFYING MATCH: Tursas vs. Davey Richards - The Scandinavian War Messenger made his return from injury to face Davey Richards for a spot in the Ring of Honor Championship Gauntlet Match at Contest of Champions. But with a "go for broke" mentality, Richards went full tilt in the offense and delivered some of the most brutal punches and kicks seen inside of a wrestling ring. Many fans thought it was a shoot! Tursas was beginning to make a strong comeback when Richards caught him in the ANKLE LOCK. WINNER BY SUBMISSION - DAVEY RICHARDS
ROH CHAMPIONSHIP GAUNTLET MATCH - EDDIE KINGSTON VS. CHUCK TAYLOR VS. MIKE BENNETT VS. RHETT TITUS VS. WILLIE MACK VS. DAVEY RICHARDS VS. TBD VS. TBD - Coming to Contest of Champions!
Jay Lethal & Homicide vs. Los Banditos (Rico Dynamite & Tito Escondito) - Los Banditos came into the match with a powerful offense, and took control of the match quickly with their chemistry and effective double teams. If there is one weakness to Lethal & Homicide, it is that they do not have much experience as a tag team. In the end, experience gave way to excellence, as both Lethal and Homicide were able to take the best shots from Los Banditos, and to return them in kind. Great back and forth match, with Jay Lethal connecting a LETHAL INJECTION on Tito Escondito for the victory. WINNERS BY PINFALL - JAY LETHAL & HOMICIDE
After the match, Director of Operations Al Snow came down to announce to both men that they have earned a title match against Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team next week in St. Louis, MO. Both men expressed their thanks to the crowd, and promised to make history in one of the most storied cities in professional wrestling.
INTERMISSION - Fans and wrestlers meeting, autographs and photos taken, merchandise sold, and delicious hot dogs for the kids. Oh, and Tim Donst walking around, carrying what appeared to be a dog collar over his shoulder. The few brave fans who tried to talk to him only heard a sickly laugh and a sinister smile that sent them scrambling from him. Donst has been acting very strangely of late, and one can only wonder what's going on in that head of his...
Bill Apter interviews... Cheerleader Melissa
Cheerleader Melissa came down in a playful sort of mood. She was very coy in asking Bill (or "Willy", as she called him) if she was in his Top 10 list. A clearly nervous Apter said she was. But when she asked if she was his number one (as she fiddled with his tie), he said, "Well, no... that would be Mercedes Martinez!" With anger in her eyes, she grabbed his tie and squeezed it tight, making him gasp and turn red. She screamed "That no class tramp is NOTHING compared to me!". Suddenly, Mercedes ran in from the crowd in street clothes, forcing Melissa to retreat to the dressing room. Mercedes helped Apter to his feet and helped him back to the announce desk with Louden Noxious.
Willie Mack vs. Adam Pearce - Both men are in the title hunt, and were out to prove their mettle to the rabid fans in Washington. Willie Mack was completely dominating and took control of the match right from the onset. If it wasn't for the craftiness of Pearce, he would never have found the means to fight back and to get out from under the assault of "Milk Chocolate". Just when it looked like Mack was ready to earn the pinfall, "Scrap Daddy" surprised him with a JUMPING PILEDRIVER for the sudden win. WINNER BY PINFALL - ADAM PEARCE
After the match, Pearce started laying the boots to Mack. That's when 2 Cold Scorpio came out to the ring to defend his friend. Pearce backed away as 2 Cold started to challenge him to fight him. From behind, Scorpio Sky and Joey Ryan sneak attacked 2 Cold and started delivering a brutal beating. Sky kept on shouting "Imposter" and "Wannabe" as he laid in the boots. Suddenly, Adam Pearce jumped out of the ring and Michael Elgin charged in from the dressing room. Both members of The Scorpio Sky Experience were oblivious to his entrance. When they turned around, Michael Elgin charged them, and caught Ryan with a spear as Sky escaped the ring. Elgin devastated Ryan with a SPINNING SIT DOWN POWERBOMB, and started to go after Sky when Top 10 Security (led by Fit Finlay) surrounded the ring and separated the parties. Senior Official Bryce Remsburg then got onto the microphone.
"On behalf of Director of Operations Al Snow, at Contest of Champions, Scorpio Sky and Michael Elgin are going to meet face to face... in a TABLES MATCH!"
Sky kept on screaming no, and Elgin's smile told the crowd that he was greatly looking forward to the match. Two weeks from now, Elgin was finally going to get his nemesis right where he wanted him.
SHIMMER TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Pink Ladies (Madison Eagles & Jessie McKay - Champions) vs. Nora Greenwald & Tina Moretti (Challengers) - The champions were caught off guard by the challengers, who took the fight to them right from the get go. It took every dirty trick in the book for the Pink Ladies to get their advantage back in the match. It looked as if the match was over when Jessie went for a DEATH JUMP, when Nora leaped up into the turnbuckle, and delivered a devastating superplex which knocked Jessie out. Nora quickly seized the opportunity, and as Tina blocked Madison, Nora got the pinfall victory. WINNERS BY PINFALL... AND NEW SHIMMER TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS... NORA GREENWALD & TINA MORETTI
Kevin Steen & Roderick Strong (w/Truth Martini) vs. Eddie Kingston & Ultramantis Black - The main event saw The House of Truth and their leader, Truth Martini, come to the ring, announcing that he has recently been contacted by a wrestler who has seen the light, and wants to walk in the way of Truth. He was about to announce their name when Kingston and Black hit the ring. A classic CHIKARA vs. ROH match up, both teams styles came into play. Kingston and Strong had some great in ring chemistry together, as the agility vs. power match of Black and Steen captivated the audience. The match was a five star classic, and brought the fans to their feet. But as all four men started fighting out of the ring, someone from the crowd jumped on top of Black. As security pulled the man away, it was Tim Donst who jumped in, and Black found himself wearing a padlocked dog collar with DONST written across it. "You're mine now, Ultramantis... You're mine!" screamed Donst as he was escorted out of the building. The referee, who was busy trying to break up Strong and Kingston, did not see the melee and the match continued. As Black struggled to get the locked dog collar off, Steen took advantage with a devastating kidney shot. Catching him with the devastating PACKAGE PILEDRIVER, the match was brought to a definitive finish. WINNERS BY PINFALL - RODERICK STRONG AND KEVIN STEEN.
On the jumbo screen showing backstage footage, security was escorting a rambling Donst past Michael Elgin and 2 Cold Scorpio, who were talking to someone on their smart phone. They explained to the person that they got Director of Operations Al Snow to give them a six man tag team match against Adam Pearce, Scorpio Sky, and Joey Ryan, if they could find a tag team partner. As the men asked if he would be willing to be their partner, the camera angle showed both the phone, and the face on the color display. In both picture and voice, the fans cheered as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Rhino told them to count him in this Saturday night in St. Louis...
TOP 10 WRESTLING NWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Rhino, 270 lbs., Detroit, MI 1) Adam Pearce, 240 lbs., San Diego, CA 2) Mike Bennett, 225 lbs., Boston, MA 3) Kevin Steen, 255 lbs., Marieville, Quebec, Canada 4) Davey Richards, 208 lbs., Othello, WA 5) Eddie Kingston, 228 lbs., Yonkers, NY 6) Chuck Taylor, 200 lbs., Murray, KY 7) Mike Quackenbush, 191 lbs., West Lawn, PA 8) Willie Mack, 270 lbs., St. Louis, MO 9) Brodie Lee, 265 lbs., Lincoln, NE 10) Rhett Titus, 203 lbs., Long Beach Island, NJ

TOP 10 WRESTLING
Live event from The Hale Arena, St. Louis, MO...
No dark match this week. This was not only signifying how important this card was, but also threw the locker room off balance. The dark matches were a great indicator of who was given a second chance to save their jobs. With no dark match, could the fates be sealed of those worrying about their jobs?
THE COLONY (FIRE ANT & SOLDIER ANT) VS. DOUBLE DRAGON (JOHNNY GARGANO & KYLE O'REILLY) Great opening match featuring hometown favorite O'Reilly. Fairly one sided, as The Colony obviously scouted their opponents before hand. The match was won when Soldier Ant hit O'Reilly with a TKO for the win. WINNERS BY PINFALL - THE COLONY
ULTRAMANTIS BLACK VS. TIM DONST - DOG COLLAR MATCH This match came about from the events of the last card when Donst locked a collar on Black. He made an offer to give him the key to remove it, if he would face him in an old school Dog Collar Match. This event went out of the ring quickly, and both men fought through the crowd. A more hardcore match than what Top 10 normally offered, but the crowd got into it quick. Donst took full advantage of the chain, and caught Black in at least three pin attempts that were very close. The advantage switched when Black was able to utilize his agility and high flying offense. The match was won when Black flew off the top rope with the chain wrapped around his fist for the knockout. WINNER BY PINFALL - ULTRAMANTIS BLACK.
After the match, Director of Operations Al Snow informed Ultramantis Black that due to his ability to overcome the odds, he is going to be rewarded with entry into the ROH Championship tournament. From humiliation to redemption!
MERCEDES MARTINEZ VS. CHEERLEADER MELISSA Last week, Melissa and Mercedes issued their challenges, and here was where they were going to even it up. Martinez controlled the majority of the match, looking strong going into her title shot against Saraya Knight. But after being on a losing exchange after missing Melissa in a turnbuckle charge, Melissa caught her with THE AIR RAID CRASH for an upset win. WINNER BY PINFALL - CHEERLEADER MELISSA
DELIRIOUS VS. WILLIE MACK Not a great match, but a great reception for Willie Mack. Coming into Top 10 with little fanfare or push, Mack has since been winning his matches in decisive fashion, and is being touted by many wrestling insiders as a fore runner to win the ROH Championship at Contest of Champions. It didn't take him long to catch Delirious with THE CHOCOLATE THUNDER BOMB for "Milk Chocolate" to get the win in his hometown. WINNER BY PINFALL - WILLIE MACK
SHIMMER CHAMPION SARAYA KNIGHT VS. JAZZ (NON TITLE MATCH) At the request of Director of Operations Al Snow, Saraya Knight fought Jazz in a non-title match. If Jazz wins, the SHIMMER Championship match would include her in a three way dance for the belt. Jazz had a power advantage early. Saraya used her in ring ability to bring some punishing counter offense. Great back and forth match up, and had most reversals of the evening. In the end, Jazz caught Saraya with an STF, causing the champion to tap out. Could this be a prelude to what fans could see happen at Contest of Champions? WINNER BY SUBMISSION - JAZZ
INTERMISSION - It was a nice day outside, so let's all go outside for some delicious Kansas City barbeque. Sponsored by Top 10 Wrestling, a BBQ Rib Festival took place earlier in the day. The best ribs were placed in the bellies of some grateful fans. Pass the corn bread!
BILL APTER INTERVIEWS... DAVEY RICHARDS Davey Richards was warmly received by the crowd, and it was a great interview where Apter was able to show the passion of this intense fighter. They went down the list of competitors he would face in the match, and he gave very honest scouting of his opponents. But when it came to the end, he went off on "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett. He said that he isn't much of a man without Maria Kanellis and Brutal Bob running interference. It didn't take long for Bennett, Maria Kanellis, and Brutal Bob to come out and for the trash talking to hit and intensify. Sensing the situation, Director of Operations Al Snow came out and told both men that next week in Florida, he wanted the two of them to accept his challenge. A one on one match, where the winner of the match would get the #8 entry into the ROH Championship Gauntlet Match. But if you lose the match, you would enter as #1. Richards immediately agreed, and while his body language said otherwise, Bennett said he wanted that too. As the men walked off, Bennett had a look that said that he only said it to not lose face.
CAMPEONAROS DE PAREJAS TITLE MATCH: WRESTLING'S GREATEST TAG TEAM (CHARLIE HAAS & SHELTON BENJAMIN - CHAMPIONS) VS. JAY LETHAL & HOMICIDE (CHALLENGERS) Even though they initially came into the tag division as a replacement team when The Young Bucks and Johnny Yuma were injured, Lethal and Homicide found their stride and rode it all the way to a title shot against Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team. Lots of great spots. Shelton Benjamin and Jay Lethal fighting on the top turnbuckle and falling outside of the ring. Charlie Haas clamping down on Homicide in a dizzying array of submission holds. Tags were fast and furious. And around the 14 minute mark, Lethal caught Haas with THE LETHAL INJECTION for a sudden and dramatic pinfall victory. The crowd lost their mind as new champions were crowned before their eyes. WINNERS BY PINFALL... AND NEW CAMPEONAROS DE PAREJAS... JAY LETHAL & HOMICIDE
After the match, the duo was approached by Amber Gertner, who told the winner that next week, they would get to choose their opponents at Contest of Champions. Both men looked at each other, smiled, and walked away. What are the new champions planning to do?
MSEERIE (MSCHEF & CHRISTINA VON EERIE) VS. THE CANADIAN NINJAS (PORTIA PEREZ & NICOLE MATTHEWS) This match was put together to determine the opponents for the SHIMMER Tag Team Champions, Tina Moretti & Nora Greenwald. Five star match, with all four women getting their finishers executed on their opponents. Flat finish, though, as Mschef caught Nicole coming off the ropes for a roll up victory. Not the most exciting finish of the night, but the new contenders are in place. WINNERS BY PINFALL: MSEERIE
SIX MAN TAG MATCH: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION RHINO & MICHAEL ELGIN & 2 COLD SCORPIO VS. #1 CONTENDER ADAM PEARCE & SCORPIO SKY & JOEY RYAN A lot of bad blood boiling over was the best way to describe this match. Lots of high spots. Elgin throwing Sky to the ground and mounting MMA style mounted punches. Ryan bouncing off of Rhino. Dueling Scorpios flying off the turnbuckles at each other. The majority of the action saw 2 Cold Scorpio outwrestling Pearce, who was clearly frustrated by the fellow veteran. At one point, Elgin caught Pearce with THE SPINNING SIT DOWN PILEDRIVER, but was saved at the last minute by the interference of Ryan. A melee ensued, and in the end, Scorpio Sky caught 2 Cold Scorpio with ARGLE BARGLE as the other participants brawled outside of the ring. WINNERS BY PINFALL: JOEY RYAN, ADAM PEARCE, AND SCORPIO SKY
Could this victory be a foreshadowing of what could happen to both the champion and the fan favorites? Will The Scorpio Sky Experience run wild in Kentucky? Will we see a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion?
IN TWO WEEKS... CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS, LIVE ON PPV FROM THE BROADBENT ARENA IN LOUISVILLE, KY
NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP (2 OUT OF 3 FALLS) - RHINO (CHAMPION) VS. ADAM PEARCE (CHALLENGER)
8 MAN GAUNTLET MATCH TO CROWN THE NEW ROH CHAMPION - EDDIE KINGSTON VS. CHUCK TAYLOR VS. MIKE BENNETT VS. RHETT TITUS VS. WILLIE MACK VS. DAVEY RICHARDS VS. ULTRAMANTIS BLACK VS. TBD
TABLE MATCH - MICHAEL ELGIN VS. SCORPIO SKY
LADDER MATCH - THE YOUNG BUCKS (MATT & NICK JACKSON) VS. C & C WRESTLING FACTORY (CEDRICK ALEXANDER & CAPRICE COLEMAN)
SHIMMER TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - NORA GREENWALD & TINA MORETTI (CHAMPIONS) VS. MSEERIE (MSCHEF & CHRISTINA VON EERIE - CHALLENGERS)

TOP 10 WRESTLING
Live event from Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL
DARK MATCH: EDDIE KINGSTON VS. TIM DONST This match came about from Tim Donst coming out to the ring and demanding that someone fight him that night. Eddie Kingston was set to be interviewed later that evening, but he was game for a fight tonight. It was starting to be a good match up, when a dropkick from Kingston to the knee of Donst caused him to land awkwardly. Clutching his knee, Donst screamed in pain. After being attended to by the referee and a pair of medics, Donst was carried out on a stretcher as Kingston was attended to by Director of Operations Al Snow. WINNER BY DECISION - EDDIE KINGSTON
After Donst was helped to the back, Al Snow grabbed the microphone...
"Eddie, I hate to do this, but one of my jobs is to look out for the welfare for the wrestlers in the company. And due to your actions, Tim Donst got hurt badly."
The crowd started booing as Eddie started to protest. Al Snow had a pained look on his face.
"Eddie, I got to pull you out of the Ring of Honor Gauntlet. I'm sorry, but you injured one of the boys. I'm sorry."
Kingston looked like he was going to launch off against Snow either verbally or physically. Instead, he composed himself turned around and walked out of the ring. As he walked down the ring, Snow kept saying "I'm sorry! Eddie! I'm sorry!"
ROH CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER MATCH: ARIK ROYAL VS. THE HOBO
The battle for the last spot in the Ring of Honor Championship Gauntlet came down to a fan favorite and a returning monster. The Hobo unleashed an early flurry of offense in hopes of catching the young monster unaware. It only took a couple of well placed offensive strikes for Royal to slow down Hobo, eventually wearing him down to the pinfall victory. WINNER BY PINFALL - ARIK ROYAL
CHEERLEADER MELISSA VS. JAZZ
Melissa took out Mercedes Martinez last week. She was looking to do the same with another challenger for the SHIMMER Championship, Jazz. No small feat, as Jazz completely controlled the match from the inside, using a series of power and submission holds to maintain the advantage. The match only kept from being a squash from Melissa's ability to use out of the ring shenanigans and dirty tactics to escape the onslaught. In time, Jazz wore Melissa down to where she could barely stand. But as Jazz attempted to finish the match with a DEATHJUMP, Melissa was able to use up all of her energy to catch Jazz in mid air with an AIR RAID CRASH for the upset victory. WINNER BY PINFALL - CHEERLEADER MELISSA
After the match, Al Snow re-appeared to tell Melissa that because of her victories over the top challengers over the past two weeks, the SHIMMER Championship match at Contest of Champions was now a Fatal Four Way Match, with SHIMMER Champion Saraya Knight defending her title against Mercedes Martinez, Jazz, and Cheerleader Melissa.
MICHAEL ELGIN VS. KEVIN STEEN w/TRUTH MARTINI Bad blood in this match. These two men were tearing up the ring like nobody's business. It was a great back and forth match until Elgin dropped Steen and started clutching at his lower back. Sensing blood, Steen launched an all out assault on his back, forcing the Unbreakable to his knees. Catching with a F-CINQ, the ending of the match was academic at this point. WINNER BY PINFALL - KEVIN STEEN
After the match, Elgin was repeatedly brutalized by Steen until he was bleeding. Security forces led by Fit Finlay rushed the ring before any further damage was done. From the ring entrance, Al Snow tore into Steen.
"I might have been sorry before, but not now. Steen, you're suspended 30 days without pay! You and Martini, get out of the ring, and out of my sight!"
WILLIE MACK VS. ARCHIBALD PECK
Match of the night! Willie Mack is earning a spot and reputation as a top talent in the company. Archibald Peck is one of the most hated heels. No one came in expecting a five star match from these two so early in the match, but the crowd certainly got one. Lots of action in and out of the ring, and many near falls. It took nearly 13 minutes for Mack to catch Peck coming off the ropes with a powerslam and the victory. WINNER BY PINFALL - WILLIE MACK
Backstage, a livid Steen was storming towards his car with Martini and Roderick Strong in tow, pleading for him not to leave. He ignored them both and drove off. As Martini and Strong tried to gain their composure (and failing miserably), a voice came up from off camera and said "Don't worry. He'll be back. And until then, The House of Truth will remain strong." Martini and Strong both smiled and said "You accepted our offer?" The camera panned back to show a smiling Arik Royal. All three man joined hands in the center of the group, laughing knowingly. The House of Truth had a new member... and what will happen when Steen returns to the fold?
SCORPIO SKY & ADAM PEARCE VS. ULTRAMANTIS BLACK & EDDIE EDWARDS The chemistry between Sky and Pearce is pretty strong, as Pearce's confidence and Sky's cockiness play off the other very well. Sky riffed about how "sad" he was knowing "Unthinkable" wouldn't be able to meet him in a Tables Match at Contest of Champions. Pearce played off of that, telling him that he would have a front row seat for his friend to see him defeat Rhino for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. The duo were interrupted by Black and Edwards, who said they heard enough, and wanted to fight. Pretty solid tag match for something that seemed thrown together at the last minute (I'll admit, it was!) It showed off all four men at their best, and ended when Black caught Sky with a PRAYING MANTIS BOMB for the victory. WINNERS BY PINFALL - EDDIE EDWARDS & ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
As Sky and Pearce groused in the ring, the sound of a semi roaring brought the crowd to it's feet. Coming to the ramp entrance was "Big Rig" Brodie Lee, who had a microphone in hand and a smile on his face...
"Hey Sky! I'm sorry to see you all sad and blue. So I talked to a good friend of mine, Mike, and he gladly gave me his spot at Contest of Champions! Don't worry about being alone for the Table Match. I'll be seeing you next week in Louisville... Cupcake!"
The fans cheer as Sky loses it in the ring! Great time to fade to...
INTERMISSION
BILL APTER INTERVIEWS... S.C.U.M.
In between Jimmy Jacobs non sequitur ramblings as he played with a long railroad spike, Steve Corino told Bill Apter how the two of them were selected by the Campeonatos de Parejas Homicide & Jay Lethal to face them in a Fight Without Honor for the titles. "Jay Lethal, you and I are two of the best wrestlers in the company. Not too sure about your partner, who smuggled cutlery in the ring in the past. Well, next week, he can bring a full three piece dinner set with him. His fork can go one on one with my best friend's spike. I wonder who's going to win that match?" Turning the mic to Jacobs, he looked to the camera and said "I see the dice are rolling, in shades of red and blue..."
Odd rambling nonsense, indeed.
NORA GREENWALD (w/TINA MORETTI) VS. MSCHEF (w/CHRISTINA VON EERIE)
The two women met in a singles match with their partners in their corners. Next week, they would meet for the SHIMMER Tag Team Titles. This week, they had a chance to not only get some scouting in, but to also get a chance to earn some momentum going into the match. From the get go, Nora took control of the match, throwing MsChef around the ring, both in and out. She was worn down and staggering when Nora ran against the ropes and came back into MsChef, who was playing possum, and catching her with a brutal choke slam for the win. The champions were shocked, the challengers were smiling. Could two of the oddest fan favorites in the company soon be two of their newest champions? WINNER BY PINFALL - MSCHEF
WRESTLING'S GREATEST TAG TEAM (CHARLIE HAAS & SHELTON BENJAMIN) VS. THE BRISCOE BROTHERS (MARK & JAY)
Two of the greatest tag teams in the world today took to the ring, and the fans lit right up. It was one of the better tag matches seen on the East Coast in quite some time. The brothers double teamed Benjamin to the point of busting him open. Haas came in like a house of fire to the rescue of his partner, and at one point, he was punching out anything that moved in the ring. Great back and forth, with the falls on both sides being very, very close. In the end, Mark Briscoe was able to catch Charlie Haas with THE CUT THROAT DRILLER for a well earned win. WINNERS BY PINFALL - THE BRISCOE BROTHERS
#1 PENALTY MATCH: MIKE BENNETT (w/MARIA KANELLIS & BRUTAL BOB) VS. DAVEY RICHARDS
Last week, both men wanted a match where the winner would get the number 8 spot, and the loser would get the number 1 spot. Both men are heavy favorites in the Ring of Honor Championship tournament. Director of Operations Al Snow did not feel that a number 8 spot should be determined between only two of the participant. But if they wanted to meet in a contest where the loser would have to enter The Gauntlet match at number 1, go for it. Bennett was on fire from the get go, getting three very close pinfalls in a row. As the frustration took over The Prodigy, the American Wolf saw an opening, and began to build up an offense using strikes and submission holds. Towards the end of the match, Maria attempted to interfere in the match, only she accidentally caught Bennett's leg instead of Richards. The momentary distraction was all it took for Richards to synch in THE ANKLE LOCK. After nearly a minute and a half of agony, Bennett had no choice but to tap out in the center of the ring. Mike Bennett is now going to have to defeat seven men to win his first title in Top 10, and the look on his face after the match showed that. WINNER BY SUBMISSION - DAVEY RICHARDS
NEXT WEEK - CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS, LIVE ON INTERNET PAY PER VIEW!!!
NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH (2 OUT OF 3 FALLS) Rhino (champion) vs. Adam Pearce (challenger)
RING OF HONOR CHAMPIONSHIP GAUNTLET MATCH Chuck Taylor vs. Mike Bennett vs. Rhett Titus vs. Willie Mack vs. Davey Richards vs. Ultramantis Black vs. Arik Royal vs. T.B.D.?
SHIMMER CHAMPIONSHIP - FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH Saraya Knight (champion) vs. Mercedes Martinez (challenger) vs. Jazz (challenger) vs. Cheerleader Melissa (challenger)
SHIMMER TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Nora Greenwald & Tina Moretti (champions) vs. MsEerie (MsChef & Christina Von Eerie - challengers)
CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS MATCH - FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR RULES Jay Lethal & Homicide (champions) vs. S.C.U.M. (Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs - challengers)
TABLE MATCH Scorpio Sky vs. Brodie Lee

BREAKING NEWS: There are rumors abounding over an email leaked to local dirt sheets. While the addresses were blurred out, the email was made clear.
Al, after giving this some time to review, these are 10 people we need to meet with this Saturday before the PPV:
2 Cold Scorpio Athena Claudio Castagnoli Delirious Ethan Page Jigsaw Juan Francisco de Coronado Kelly Skater Nick Madrid Robert Anthony
Some of them need to be let go, some of them can be repackaged, and some of them I feel deserve a chance for redemption. I know that neither one of us wants to keep someone from a paycheck in wrestling, but the reality is simple. We only have so much money to go around, especially with the licensing fees we are being charged for titles and booking (NWA, in particular, is a major expense). And with the two wrestlers we talked to over the weekend, some of the roster money can bring in both of these men to Top 10 Wrestling. We have a great thing going now, with lots of positive momentum. But a chance to add two former world champions with minimal baggage and costs is an option we have to pursue, and pursue quickly.
As I see it now, we agree on which three must go from this list. They simply cannot be kept on payroll when there are other wrestlers who are doing much better work. They are dead weight, as far as I'm concerned. Two of them I think could make a great tag team, and with King of Trios coming up, it could be a boon for them both! Two of them I am totally on the fence on. We'll see how the interview process goes. I'm also going to bring in Jim Cornette to help mediate. The final decision is yours, but I want his input on this. He watches the shows and has his ears hearing from all the crews. His counsel is something we should take in consideration.
For the final three of them, I really like your idea of putting them in the opening match of the PPV in a Triple Threat Match. With Eddie Kingston's suspension, we need an eighth man for the ROH Championship Gauntlet match. Putting this group in a match where a winner not only keeps their job, but they get to enter the tournament is short notice, I know, but we are running out of good options here. And if we are going to fill this spot, I want it to be with someone who is with the company. Bringing in an outsider, while attractive, is counter-productive to motivating the locker room to perform at a high level. I am glad that you recognized this right off the bat and made the suggestion.
Before I close this email, I want to again tell you that you did the right thing with the Eddie Kingston suspension. While Kevin Steen clearly deserved to be suspended, Eddie was a harder call to make. But in watching the replay, that was a blow to the knee that could have been avoided. I don't like to see wrestlers taking liberties with the other. I may complain about some of the expenses, but you and I agree that we give something to our injured crew. The fines and suspensions help pay towards that, but I know how this can wear down management over time. Know that you are the best man for the job, and I am proud of the great work you are doing for the company.
Give me a call on Friday to discuss travel arrangements to Kentucky. - J.
Top 10 Wrestling, James Steinhoff, and Al Snow have all declined comment on the situation. But NWA President R. Bruce Tharpe issued the following response:
"If this is indeed accurate, I don't like the reference to us being a "major expense". You get what you pay for, Mr. Steinhoff. Please try and remember that."
To be continued...

TOP 10 WRESTLING PRESENTS... CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS, LIVE ON iPPV
Live from the Broadbent Arena in Louisville, KY, welcome to Contest of Champions. Tonight, fans are going to see four exciting title matches, including NWA Heavyweight Champion Rhino defending his title in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls match against "Scrap Daddy" Adam Pearce. Plus a new champion will be crowned, as an 8 Man Gauntlet Match for the ROH TV Championship takes place tonight. All the best action is waiting for you, so here we go!
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Nick Madrid vs. Ethan Payne (w/Seleziya Sparx)
This match was added to the card due to the suspension of Eddie Kingston. With an opponent needed for the ROH Gauntlet Match, and with all three men rumored to be on a list of wrestlers to be let go, Director of Operations Al Snow put all three men in a Triple Threat match where the winner of the match would get Kingston's spot, and a chance to become the new ROH Champion. Wild action inside and outside the ring. Highlights include Payne dropkicking Madrid out of the ring while Madrid was on top of the turnbuckle. Also, Payne hitting Castagnoli with the Dwayne Cutter, and Castagnoli countering with Swiss Death, but he missed Payne and caught Madrid. The advantage went back and forth until Castagnoli caught Madrid with a RICOLA BOMB, and Payne was too late in trying to break up the pin attempt. The two losers looked dejected, while the winner was jubilant. One job was saved, but have two jobs been lost? WINNER BY PINFALL... AND ADVANCING TO THE ROH CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
LADDER MATCH: C & C Wrestling Factory (Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)
What was supposed to be an aerial display turned into a blood bath. Both teams have a long standing feud stemming from C & C Wrestling Factory taking out their former friends in their attempt to become the number one team in Top 10 Wrestling. The Bucks had their opponents well scouted, countering the C & C CONNECTION COMBO twice during the match. But what C & C lacked in skill, they made up with violence with the ladders. Nick Jackson was simply devastated with the ladder. As one member would hold back Matt in the corner, the other would connect with ladder and chair shots that left Nick a bloody mess. Thinking he had enough, Cedric Alexander climbed the ladder to retrieve a briefcase dangling from the top. But as he got to towards the top, Nick got to his feet, and staggered into the ladder, knocking Alexander out of the ring. Both brothers then used their offense to take Coleman out of the ring with a double dropkick. With Nick fallen to his knees and shouting encouragement, Matt set up and climbed another ladder. The fans were on their feet and screaming for Matt to win. Just as he reached the briefcase, both member of C & C Wrestling Factory knocked the ladder and Matt over, crashing to the arena floor. Folding the ladder back up, Cedrick Alexander laid down in a school boy as Carpice put the ladder across his back. With Nick's weight holding down the bottom end, Caprice did a double stomp on the top end of the ladder, slingshoting the ladder into Nick Jackson's head. As Jackson fell to the mat, the referee called for the bell and for paramedics. While C & C Wrestling Factory were escorted to the back by Fit Finlay and security personnel, Matt and a team of medics got Nick onto a stretcher and away from the ring. Both brothers went from the building to a local medical facility. Initial reports have stated that Nick Jackson will be out of action for up to three months. A hard fought match, but did C & C Wrestling Factory go too far? WINNERS BY REFEREE STOPPAGE - C & C WRESTLING FACTORY
Lu Fisto vs. Veda Laine
Following a harrowing match came the debut of The Super Hardcore Anime, Lu Fisto against up and comer Veda Laine. Coming to the ring with all smiles and waiving to the crowd, as soon as the bell rang, Lu Fisto's demeanor changed immediately as she quickly tackled Laine to the ground and caught her in a vicious camel clutch. Laine was barely able to make it to the ropes to escape the painful hold. As Laine made it to her feet, Lu Fisto swept Laine over her head and delivered a devastating BURNING HAMMER for a three count. As soon as the bell rang, the friendly demeanor came back to Lu Fisto. We have seen an explosive debut of a very unconventional wrestler, and someone who the fans are going to be talking about for quite some time. WINNER BY PINFALL - LU FISTO
CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS MATCH UNDER FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR RULES - Jay Lethal & Homicide (Champions) vs. Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs (Challengers)
This match captures the Lucha Libre spirit of CHIKARA and the anything goes spirit of Ring of Honor. Right from the get go, the match was out of control, as Homicide came to the ring with a chair and immediately spin kicked it into the face of Corino. All four men fought in the ring. The champions used their skill sets, as the challengers tried to take advantage of the no-DQ rules. Jacobs took Lethal out of the ring with a railroad spike shot. Following him outside of the ring, Jacobs pulled back the ring apron. Yelling out "They forgot one!", he pulled out a ladder left over from the earlier match, and suplexed Lethal on top of it. Inside of the ring, Homicide was on the advantage, delivering stiff offense against Corino. Outside, Jacobs tried to spike Lethal with the spike, when Lethal kicked the spike out of his hands and into the crowd (backstage, Al Snow was praying a lawsuit wasn't coming his way). Both Lethal and Jacobs fought into the crowd trying to retrieve the object. Corino and Homicide, meanwhile, switched gears and went into a catch styled match with both men going into a series of holds and counters, which the crowd go into in a hurry. Homicide won the exchanges, and was prepared to deliver a finishing move from the top ropes. Suddenly, Jacobs re-emerged running down the entryway and pushed Homicide off the ropes back into the ring. Yelling "Catch!", Jacobs tossed his spike to Corino. Lethal charged from the entrance way, and both he and Jacobs wrestled the other to the ground. Corino took the spike and used it to deliver an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT for the pinfall victory. WINNERS BY PINFALL... AND NEW CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS... TEAM S.C.U.M.
FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH FOR THE SHIMMER CHAMPIONSHIP: Saraya Knight (Champion) vs. Mercedes Martinez vs. Jazz vs. Cheerleader Melissa
Even with Amber Gertner joining for ringside commentary, all the announcers were struggling keeping up with this match. Every single woman in the ring gave everything they could in this match, with the SHIMMER Championship resting in the balance. After a couple of minutes of action, three women suddenly realized that Mercedes Martinez was the greatest threat in the match, and all three women attacked her as one. For minutes, Mercedes turned back single attacks, double teams, and even took all three opponents down with a special 3 Amigas for each one of them. But the number games would eventually wear her down as Cheerleader Melissa was able to catch her with an AIR RAID CRASH for the first pinfall elimination at 6:54 into the match. The remaining three women had no plans of alliances and tore into each other with ferocity. With Saraya and Jazz taking the battle outside of the ring, Melissa distanced herself in order to get a breather. Jazz would dominate outside of the ring, knocking Saraya down with a chair shot. Afterwards, she spotted Melissa and chased after her with the chair. The fans were cheering, hoping that Jazz would catch a hold of her. As Melissa slid under the ring ropes to the outside, Saraya caught Jazz by surprise with a flying DDT for the second pinfall elimination at 11:28 into the match. The match then came down to Saraya Knight and Cheerleader Melissa. With all of the action in the match, both competitors still had a lot of A-game left to them. But the conditioning of the champion served her well, as she was able to take control of an exhausted opponent, forcing her to submit to THE BRIDLED ROCKING HORSE at that 16:30 mark of the match for the victory. Saraya Knight held aloft her title in the corner as the entire arena greeted her with a standing ovation and chants of SA-RAY-A, SA-RAY-A from the crowd. WINNER BY SUBMISSION... AND STILL THE SHIMMER CHAMPION... SARAYA KNIGHT
Pause for a promo showing clips of The Colony and House of Truth performing devastating six man moves, as the announcer states that you will get three times the action when you order Top 10 Wrestling's next PPV event... KING OF TRIOS!!! Coming soon from Top 10 Wrestling!
TABLES MATCH: Scorpio Sky vs. Brodie Lee
When Michael Elgin was injured by Kevin Steen and The House of Truth, Scorpio Sky shed crocodile tears saying how terrible it was that he couldn't face Elgin in their tables match tonight. As he stood laughing in the ring this evening, the sound of an air horn signaled the arrival of "The Big Rig", Brodie Lee. Sky tried to talk Lee into backing off, and was met with a big boot out of the ring. After working over Sky with punches, he placed him on a pair of tables outside of the ring. Climbing the turnbuckle, Brodie Lee launched himself off the top corner, splashing both himself and Scorpio Sky through the tables. Recovering first, Lee set up a table in the center of the ring. As Sky staggered to his feet in the ring, Lee caught him in a Brodie Bomb through the table. A short match, but the fans didn't seem to mind. WINNER BY PINFALL - BRODIE LEE
As the match ended, the lights went down in the arena. On the viewing screen above the ring entrance, a swirling mass of colors and guitar flanges appeared. The swirling colors came together to form a large green and purple yin-yang symbol. As the music blared, out on the entrance ramp walked out the one and only... ROB VAN DAM! Wearing a Top 10 t-shirt, he took in the applause as he walked down the aisle and into the ring. As the music played, he and Brodie stood face to face with a glare... that lasted all of five seconds before they started smiling and greeting each other with a manly hug. Taking a mike from ringside, RVD addressed the crowd...
"Hey, listen, for the last few weeks all I've been hearing in the locker rooms is Top 10, Top 10, Top 10. I started checking it out and saw some of my favorite wrestlers, like my Big Bud here. So then I started talking to them, and they all had one thing in common. Everyone was having fun. And you know me, I like to party. So I had a little talk with Al Snow, and when the smoke cleared, you are looking at the newest member of the Top 10 Wrestling roster! See you guys on the road real soon!"
SHIMMER TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Nora Greenwald & Tina Moretti (Champions) vs. MsEerie (MsChef and Christina Von Eerie)
Tina came out strong from the beginning, catching Christina with a head butt that knocker her senseless. If not for the last second save from MsChef, the match would have ended quickly. After that, however, the challengers unleashed some of the most devastating offense ever seen in the squared circle. And to the credit of the champions, the fought off defeat like no other. Despite their lack of offense, the champions hung in tough, even with Tina being busted open from a hard shot to the eye. In time, the challengers lust for the titles could not be denied, as MsChef caught Nora with THE DESECRATOR, and getting the pinfall victory. After the match, all four women embraced each other out of respect for each other, as the ovation of the crowd was deafening. WINNERS BY PINFALL... AND NEW SHIMMER TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS... MSEERIE
Backstage, a camera showed a stern Sara Del Rey looking at the four women in the monitor while she was putting on MMA sparring gloves. A happy and skipping Daizee Haze came up to her and cheerfully informed her that she signed them up in the women's tag division. Not taking her eyes from the monitor, Sara flatly said "no, you didn't...". After an awkward pause, Sara spun around and punched out her partner cold. Turning slowly to the camera, she said "No one speaks for me except me..." She then took out the camera man with a cross kick. With the camera view askew, she leaned over and shook her fist towards it slowly. "I am woman... here me roar..."
RING OF HONOR CHAMPIONSHIP GAUNTLET MATCH: Mike Bennett vs. Ultramantis Black vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Willie Mack vs. Davey Richards vs. Arik Royal vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Rhett Titus
For weeks, the anticipation for this match was growing as the field of eight was selected. Tonight, eight men would meet in a randomly selected Gauntlet series of matches to determine the new ROH Champion in Top 10 Wrestling. The first entrant was known to all. After losing a challenge match with Davey Richards, "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett was entering as number one. Who would he be facing to kick off the series?
ENTRANT # 2 - CHUCK TAYLOR
For the first time in history, the hometown Taylor was cheered on his way to the ring. Taylor acknowledged his friends with a brief and heartfelt "SHUT UP!" as he entered the ring. Bennett tore into him with a vengeance looking to put him away as quickly as possible. For the longer the match goes, the more difficult it is to win. Time is just as deadly an enemy as your opponent. After being on the receiving end of punishment, Taylor caught Bennett, and threw him out of the ring to show him some payback. The advantage shifted as Taylor caught Bennett with a DEATH JUMP for a very close 2 count. Trying it again, Bennett caught him with a spear as he was coming off the top corner. One BOX OFFICE SMASH later, Bennett was the victor. WINNER BY PINFALL - MIKE BENNETT
ENTRANT # 3 - ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
To the ring came everyone's favorite mad scientist, Ultramantis Black. Both men gauged the other carefully, neither one wanting to show their hand too early. Bennett began to show his barrage, but when he tried to catch Black in a bear hug, Black unleashed a series of head butts that haven't been seen since the days of Bobo Brazil. Taking the advantage, Black was able to catch Bennett for the roll up and pin. After the match, Bennett was hot, and went after Black and Senior Referee Bryce Remsburg. Black was able to knock him out of the ring, where the care of Fit Finlay and his security force waited for The Prodigy. "This isn't over, you freak!" screamed Bennett as he was escorted to the back. WINNER BY PINFALL - ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
ENTRANT # 4 - RHETT TITUS
As the wrestler hailing from The Temple of Lust entered the ring, Black threw every move he had at him. Rhett was able to keep pace well, as he was in better shape and conditioning at this part of the match. In and out of the ring the wrestlers fought. At one point, Remsburg threatened Black with a DQ if he didn't keep the match within the confines of the ring. Despite the back and forth of the match, Black was able to catch Titus with THE PRAYING MANTIS BOMB for his second pinfall victory. But after the match, a woman wearing a red leather jacket ran into the ring and started to choke out Black with what looked like a pair of fishnets. Both the referee and Titus were finally able to get her off of him. As security took her away, she turned to Titus and gave him a seductive wink! Despite losing the match, Titus had a wide smile as he followed her to the back. WTH? WINNER BY PINFALL - ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
ENTRANT # 5 - CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
Again, Black tried to get the offense started early, but Castagnoli was having none of that. He was too hungry and in better ring shape than Black. It literally took him 40 seconds to power down black and catch him with THE RICOLA BOMB for the victory. Fans were disappointed that Ultramantis Black didn't get the hat trick, but tonight, Castagnoli has a chance to go from the poor house to the penthouse in one night. WINNER BY PINFALL - CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
ENTRANT # 6 - EDDIE EDWARDS
The crowd erupted as The American Wolf emerged from the entranceway, and from the look on his face, he was looking for a fight! And did he bring a fight to Castagnoli! With a series of kicks and submission holds that borderline to illegal (Remsburg warned him that he wasn't going to get away with it), he turned Castagnoli into a bloody and bruised mess in minutes. But even with a superplex off the top rope, Castagnoli was able to get out at the last minute. The momentum turned as Edwards was worn down with a powerful series of offensive moves that took him off of his game. It took Castagnoli three attempts with THE RICOLA BOMB to earn the pin victory. But even in victory, Castagnoli looked in rough shape. WINNER BY PINFALL - CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
ENTRANT # 7 - WILLIE MACK
The crowd gave it up for "Hot Chocolate" as Castagnoli tried to shake off the cobwebs. Willie Mack, learning from watching what went on before in the match, decided to engage in some simple holds to feel out Castagnoli. Sending an opportunity, Mack caught him full on with a standing dropkick. At this point in the match, Castagnoli's body simply had enough as Mack was able to catch him both with the move and the pin attempt. Relatively quick match, but the fan favorite was excited. One more match to determine the winner! WINNER BY PINFALL - WILLIE MACK
ENTRANT # 8 - ARIK ROYAL
The newest member of The House of Truth strode to ringside to a chorus of boos. The fans were on their feet as a battle of two of the most powerful heavyweights went down before their eyes. Royal proved quickly why he was sought out by Truth Martini. But Mack was inches away from destiny, and would not be denied. Both men gave everything they had in this match, but in time, Royal was caught in a CHOCOLATE THUNDER BOMB and the referee made the three count. We have a new champion!!!
WINNER OF THE MATCH... AND NEW RING OF HONOR CHAMPION... WILLIE MACK
After the match, Truth Martini and Roderick Strong joined in an assault against Willie Mack. Just when it looked like the House of Truth fought Mack to the ground, Ultramantis Black and Eddie Edwards stormed the ring and cleaned house. Both men then turned towards Willie Mack, and raised his hand in victory. Honor and sportsmanship have won this day, and we have a great new champion ready to defend the belt.
Fans are then shown a promo of The Top 10 Prom Fundraiser from the night before. The fans got to attend prom with their favorite wrestlers to raise money for The Boys and Girls Clubs. Highlight include fans in the dollar dance lines to dance with their favorite men and women of Top 10... Regeneration X challenging The Briscoe Brothers in a dance contest... Scorpio Sky and Joey Ryan arriving with six dates a piece... The Hobo pulling out a crinkly dollar from his hatband for a dance with Veronica, which drove Archibald Peck into a fit, causing chaperone Fit FInlay to escort him out of the prom... and seeing Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis being crowned the king and queen of the prom... and in that hot pink number, no could mistake Maria for anything but the queen of the prom...
Coming to the ring in his tuxedo is an irate Archibald Peck, who takes the microphone, and challenges The Hobo to a Tuxedo Match, right here, right now. And sure enough, The Hobo shows up in his powder blue 70's suit. He take a microphone and not only accepts the challenge, but also tells Peck (and the fans) that "Miss Veronica is sure one fine kisser!"
TUXEDO MATCH - Archibald Peck vs. The Hobo
The match begun in earnest, with both men scrapping and fighting their way out of the ring. As they entered back into the ring, a man wearing a black hoodie came in from the crowd and hit The Hobo in the face with a steel chair, knocking him out. The referee called for the bell, and attempted to intercept the intruder. The intruder head butted the referee. As Peck smiled and congratulated the stranger, Peck was caught in a jawbreaking lariat. As the stranger stood back up, he pulled back his hood to reveal...
OH MY GOD... IT'S NIGEL MCGUINNESS!!!
The fans immediately started buzzing as McGuinness took out a microphone and addressed the crowd...
"No more games. No more comedy. I could care less about some useless tart with a funky boat race... an overgrown street urchin... or a wannabe prep school leader. I am here for one reason. I have some old scores to settle here with some old friends. I contacted Al Snow, and asked if I could join up. He said show me what you can do. Hey Al! I just did, mate! So you have two decisions. You can either let me in and let me take apart your roster in the ring... or you can say no, and I'll show up every night and take them out like this. Choice... is yours. Victory.. is mine."
He dropped the microphone and walked towards the back, where an angry Al Snow, Fit Finlay, and security personnel awaited. All went behind closed doors, with Finlay shouting "NO CAMERAS!" as he shoved the crew back. What was going on in there?
MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS - Rhino (Champion) vs. Adam Pearce (Challenger)
Tonight, two men who have been fighting each other for weeks are finally going to settle the score. From the onset, two contrasting styles went back and forth, as the raw power of the champion and the ring generalship of the challenger made this match a very difficult one to gauge a winner. The advantage went from one to the other within the match. All of the best was given by both men, and it was a true chess match of holds, counters, submission attempts, and near falls. The first fall came when Rhino was able to catch Pearce with THE GORE for a pinfall victory.
WINNER OF THE FIRST FALL BY PINFALL - RHINO
After both men were given time to recover in their separate corners, they met again in the center of the ring. This time, Pearce started to take the match outside of the ring, where his chicanery and dirty tactics gave him an edge. It wasn't much of an edge, but it was enough to keep Rhino from catching him in a pinfall or submission. This allowed Pearce time to piece together a better offensive barrage than before. After taking advantage of the champion with a series of moves, he caught him with a JUMPING PILEDRIVER for a pinfall. As both men recovered in their corners, Pearce saw Rhino clutching his neck, and smiled...
WINNER OF THE SECOND FALL BY PINFALL - ADAM PEARCE
Fans were on their feet, as this was the third and final fall. Pearce went right for the neck, as Rhino tried to overpower his opponent. But in trying to protect his neck, Rhino left himself open for attacks to the rest of the body. Pearce was dissecting the champion with a barrage of strikes, eventually being able to catch Rhino in a second JUMPING PILEDRIVER. At the last possible moment, Rhino beat the three count, and began a comeback. Pearce was stunned as a battered and sore champion overpowered and pushed the challenger back into a defensive mode. The advantage was clearly Rhino's when he lifted Pearce up for a vertical suplex. But as he was raised overhead, Pearce twisted and kicked and came down on Rhino with a modified neckbreaker. Catching the champion off guard, Pearce cinched in the cradle for the pinfall victory.
WINNER OF THE THIRD FALL... AND NEW NWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION... ADAM PEARCE!!!
Rhino was frustrated, but left the ring gracefully, and high five backed the fans who were still cheering him. This night, however, was the night for Adam Pearce to celebrate. Standing on top of the turnbuckle, he pointed to the championship belt around his waist, telling everyone who could listen that he was the wrestling champion of the world. As the confetti fell down on the champion and the fans, the camera pulled back to show the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Fade to black, thanks for watching the PPV!!!

Six months off, and re-examining Top 10 Wrestling. Not bad, but it's not there yet. Too much not done, too many cards not given anything to do. There is an art to the building of suspense, and I know that there is a lot more that can be done.
Time to go over the cards and see what happens next...

To paraphrase George Throughgood, one fed ain't enough, Jack, you better make it three...
With the ever-expansive roster of color/indy cards coming down the pike, there are simply too many wrestlers for me to pare down into one fed without leaving a whole lot of talent out to dry. So I'm thinking of abandoning the Top 10 model to create three models based on the same operating system:
TOP 10 - MAIN EVENT WRESTLING: A G rated wrestling show that takes place Saturday mornings along-side the Saturday morning cartoons. Lots of action and skits and fun for everyone. Chikara is the starting model for this program
TOP 10 - PRIME TIME WRESTLING: PG rated program, where the best of the best compete every week in matches guaranteed to keep fans on the edge of their seats. Saturday night, this is where the action is! Ring of Honor is the starting model for this program.
TOP 10 - UNDERGROUND: After midnight, on that odd cable channel, you will see the first ever R rated wrestling show. In the dead of night, hardcore goes to the next level. CZW is the starting model for this program.
The rosters are being reviewed for re-assignment. I am breaking up all of the feds and re-aligning the talent to their new homes and roles. So far, the only issue is with Shimmer not wishing to be dissolved into the new programming blocks, and wanting a block of their own. We are meeting with everyone to discuss options, but it is going to all work out in the end...

The following memo was posted on HQ walls today. Much like in high school when looking to see who made the football team or the fall play, all of the talent gathered around to see who was assigned to which promotion:
TOP 10 - MAIN EVENT WRESTLING (G to Y7 rated show showing Saturday mornings):
ACH, Cedric Alexander, Fire Ant, Green Ant, Soldier Ant, Robert Anthony, Leva Bates, Brian Cage, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, Caprice Coleman, Allison Danger, Bryan Danielson, Sugar Dunkerton, Eddie Edwards, El Generico, Michael Elgin, A.R. Fox, Frightmare, Johnny Gargano, Johnny Goodtime, Drew Gulak, Dasher Hatfield, Daizee Haze, The Hobo, Shane Hollister, Jigsaw, Jay Lethal, Willie Mack, Nick Madrid, Jessie McKay, Adam Pearce, Mike Quackenbush, Davey Richards, Courtney Rush, 2 Cold Scorpio, Veda Scott, Scorpio Sky, Ryan Taylor, Terex, Tadarius Thomas, Rhett Titus, Ultramantis Black, Johnny Yuma
TOP 10 - PRIME TIME WRESTLING (PG to PG-13 rated show showing Saturday evenings):
Ares, Athena, Peter Avalon, Shelton Benjamin, Mike Bennett, BLK Jeez, Sami Callihan, Claudio Castagnoli, Juan Francisco de Coranado, Sara Del Rey, Tim Donst, Madison Eagles, Bobby Fish, Hallowicked, Hawaiian Lion, Icarus, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Joker, Brodie Lee, Q.T. Marshall, Nicole Matthews, Nigel McGuinness, Mike Mondo, James Morgan, MsChef, Kyle O'Reilly, Ethan Page, Portia Perez, Shaun Ricker, Arik Royal, Joey Ryan, Pinkie Sanchez, Kellie Skater, Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Chuck Taylor, Tursas, Christina Von Eerie
TOP 10 - UNDERGROUND (R rated show showing after midnight on Saturday):
Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, Cedric The Hitman, Cheerleader Melissa, Steve Corino, Delirious, Rico Dynamite, Tito Escondido, Greg Excellent, Charlie Haas, Danny Havoc, Homicide, D.J. Hyde, Jimmy Jacobs, Eddie Kingston, Saraya Knight, Lufisto. Mercedes Martinez, Manimal, Masada, Navajo Warrior, Mikey O'Shea, Archibald Peck, Pinky, Rhino, Ray Rosas, Kevin Steen, Rob Van Dam, vOodOo kAos, B.J. Whitmer, Drake Younger
*****
Needless to say, the reactions of the talent ranged from delight to disappointment. Two of the best tag teams (Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team and The Tribe) were split apart on different shows, where all four men would be given a chance for solo success. CZW talent was asking themselves how they could have wound up performing for children. And Archibald Peck threw the mother of all fits when he found himself relegated to the world of hardcore. On the whole, however, most of the talent were accepting of their new assignments.
The only question left... who were going to be the new champions?

BREAKING NEWS: MASSIVE TALENT RECRUITMENT DRIVE, PPV SCHEDULES ANNOUNCED
As the rosters and tag teams are starting to finalize, management of Top 10 Wrestling are in active talks with wrestling talent all over the globe. CEO James Steinhoff III has promised the fans the best wrestling programming in 2014, and is leaving no stone unturned. With three active shows (Main Event Wrestling, Prime Time Wrestling, and Underground Wrestling), he has to stock the best talent, and is contacting both rookies and veterans to consider coming on board.
Also, in a separate development, he is also announcing an aggressive pay per view schedule that will combine all three shows into one theme based super card. On the last weekend of the month, fans will get to see wrestlers from all three promotions on one card. The schedule is as follows:
JANUARY - KING OF TRIOS - 12 three man teams, 4 from each company, will face off to see which three remaining teams will face off in a round-robin finale
FEBRUARY - THE FILSINGER CUP - 24 tag teams, 8 from each company, will enter a single elimination, tag team tournament to crown the winners of The Filsinger Cup. But what makes this contest different is that the teams are broken up and reformed by a random draw. In this two night event, you will see pairings and matches that are truly once in a lifetime
MARCH - YOUNG LIONS CUP - 16 wrestlers in need of seasoning will face off in a single elimination tournament, with the winner receiving a heavyweight title shot.
APRIL - ANYTHING GOES - No countouts, no disqualications. 13 matches where feuding opponents will settle the score in randomly selected gimmick matches. The Wheel of Misfortune spins round and round, and where it ends up will push these competitors to the breaking point.
MAY - CIBERNETICO - Lead by their respective champions, teams of 8 wrestlers from each company will face off in a Battlezone rules match. And the first champion to lose by pinfall or submission not only loses the match, but also loses their title. For the first time ever, a wrestler from one company can become the champion of another company. The balance of power hangs in the balance, and the wrestling world may never be the same again.
JUNE - LADIES NIGHT - An all women's wrestling event. And not just the wrestlers. Announcers, referees, ring crew, cameras, and special guests will all be women. For the first time ever, the men can sit in the back and watch as the ladies take over the arena.
JULY - THE GAUNTLET - A 30 man single falls elimination match where 2 wrestlers start, and once a wrestler is eliminated, a new opponent comes into the ring. In a contest designed to push wrestlers to their breaking points, the last man standing wins a heavyweight championship match they can cash in any time in the next 6 months.
AUGUST - PSYCHO BEACH PARTY - Live music, BBQ, and professional wrestling meet on the beach. With a ring right on the sand, and surrounded by pounding surf, deep waters, and unruly fans, this is a psycho beach party where the craziest things can happen!
SEPTEMBER - HOMECOMING - Fans get to vote online and put together any matches they want. We don't give you a choice of three where you can check off the box. You can select whatever matches you want to from the ENTIRE roster. It's all about giving the fans the dream matches they've always wanted, and creating a one night only event that rewards and thanks our fans
OCTOBER - CAGES OF DEATH - 13 matches, 13 different steel cages. It will be a night where there will be blood, savagery, and careers in jeopardy. The only entry to this party is to sign a waiver releasing Top 10 Wrestling from responsibility for your injuries. How far will one go for revenge?
NOVEMBER - SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST - 8 teams of 6 wrestlers will face off in an elimination tag match, where teamwork and cooperation are vital for your survival. Who can come together, and who will fall apart
DECEMBER - 1 VS. 100 - A 100 wrestler battle royal in a custom made 60 by 60 foot ring, where now only the winner is awarded $100,000.00, but one lucky ticket holder will win the same.
