Hey Gang,
Like most guys it has been along time since I have posted any fed results or a fed for that matter. I have had this idea for sometime now of what would it be like to just grab the first set (and the ROH set for another fed) and just play the game by the basic rules. No advance pin ratings, choice charts, pw or ag just the bare bones rule just like you did when you first got the game before really getting into the advance ruling stuff. The only change I made was no DQ's or Count Outs.
So the following is just that, the "basic" beginnings of the GWF from day one. I'm sure things will sometimes be predictable but after the first show last night it may not be. I almost had a MAJOR upset on the first card that would have sent shock waves rippling though the galaxy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 2086, A young man named Zachary Carter set out to bring back the true passion of professional wrestling. Since the galaxy wide ban on wrestling was lifted by the galactic council, Carter made it a mission to bring this life long dream of being a great promoter to life around his home planet of Deimos.
Deimos used to be a hotbed for professional wrestling with everyone going to the old Deimos Intergalactic Arena to watch Saturday night show every weekend but once the ban went into effect the Arena was no longer used as much as it was. Carter went to the owners of the arena and pitched the idea of bring back a promotion full time to the arena but the owner said they were looking to sell the arena and land off and close the place down. Carter told them if he could get some backers that he would buy the arena himself and the owners agreed. Though out the year 2086 Carter was working on getting the funding together to make this thing work and while he ran into quite a few stumbling block was finally able to make the purchase in August 2086.
After working very hard to fix up and remodel the old building, it was set for it's debut and the debut of a brand new wrestling promotion. Now on the weekend of January 10th thru 12th at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena, 16 of the best singles wrestlers from across the galaxy will come together and face off in the true spirit of professional wrestling. 16 wrestlers will via for the chance to make history and call themselves the champion of the galaxy. Welcome to the Deimos Intergalactic Arena and the birth the Galactic Wrestling Federation.

GWF Card #1 - Road to the Gold Weekend Deimos Intergalactic Arena Friday, January 10th, 2087 Night One of Three to crown the first ever GWF Galactic Heavyweight Champion.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPENING MATCH 1. Pit Viper vs. Invincible Krakan WINNER: Pit Viper following the Titan Drop
2. Ghengis Khan vs. Massif WINNER: Massif following the Volcanic Drop
3. Pulsar vs. Thantos WINNER: Thantos following Choke Using the Ropes *Remember when I said there was almost a major upset, Pulsar actually pinned Thantos twice in this match and was a count away both times from beating Thantos. Scary thought to start a tournament huh?
4. Comrade Terror vs. Lord Nexus WINNER: Comrade Terror via Pinfall
5. Wolf vs Mutant WINNER: Wolf following the Savage Face Claw *Here was almost upset #2 of the evening. Mutant came out hard and got a pinfall attempt before throwing him outside and losing all control of the match.
6. Exo-King vs. Commander Sam WINNER: Commander Sam following Abdominal Stretch
7. Omega vs. Executioner WINNER: Omega following the Sleeper Hold
8. Death Knight vs. Star Warrior WINNER: Star Warrior following a Cross Body off the ropes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
*NOTES* - Thantos and Comrade Terror are the only villians to make it out of the round of 16 on the first night and Thantos almost did do that. The round of 8 should be a good one with two match ups being hero vs hero and advancing on to championship Sunday. The big surprise was no "Feud Table" rolls on the first night which I thought there would be one. Will have to see what happens the rest of the weekend.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPENING MATCH 1. Exo-King vs. Ghengis Khan WINNER: Exo-King following Death Vise
2. Invincible Krakan vs. Death Knight WINNER: Death Knight following Cosmic Lance *This has be to considered a big upset in the original set.
3. Executioner vs. Pulsar WINNER: Executioner following Headsman Guillotine
4. Lord Nexus vs. Mutant WINNER: Mutant following Temple Grinder
5. Star Warrior vs. Pit Viper - 2nd Round Tournament Match WINNER: Star Warrior following Nova Launch
6. Commander Sam vs. Massif - 2nd Round Tournament Match WINNER: Commander Sam following Sam's Atomic Drop

8. Wolf vs. Comrade Terror - 2nd Round Tournament Match WINNER: Wolf following Savage Face Claw
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Notes* Krakan going down was a big upset in my book did not see that one coming. Was good to finally roll double at the end of a match and big shock it was during Thantos Match. I did have a bit of internal struggle as Omega was at 12 and I happened to roll a 12 so part of me wanted to keep the match going and but the other said I could set up a good semi-finals match between him and Warrior so I went that path instead.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*NOTES* No surprise that Thantos is the first champion of the new federation. Sam gave him everything he could take. Wolf not making it to the finals was a bummer but it is what it is. Now comes the fun part where I ramdomly draw one face a show to face off with Thantos in a non-title match to earn a shot at the GWF Title. First up out of the draw is Pit Viper so we will see how well that goes as he was a former champion in other promotions I have run before. The rest will be put into the tournament to crown the first GWF Interplanetary Champion.

GWF REPORT January 22nd, 2087 Edition
Hello everyone and welcome to the new constructed control center as we report on all the happening here in the Galactic Wrestling Federation. My name is Johnny Rocket and we are one week removed from the GWF Galactic Heavyweight Championship tournament that saw Thantos crowned as the very first GWF Champion. While the fan were not really happy with the how he won the title, you do have to give him credit for defeating three of the four memebers of the Federation Defense Fighters in a row to take the title.
Owner Zachary Carter has made a statement about the Heavyweight Championship and all championship belts going forward. Mr. Carter stopped by the studio and made the statement himself. ZC: "In an effort to make sure that any champions here in the GWF are always at the top of their game, I have made a new ruling. The singles champions here in the GWF will face off with a wrestler who was drawn at ramdom to face off in a non title match. If the wrestler who was chosen wins the non title match then he will earn a shot at the championship at the next card. In doing this, No champion can truely prepair for their challenger and has to be at the top of their game all the time giving legecy to their championship reign."
JR: That should make things very interesting here in the GWF. How will Thantos combat this challenge we will have to see? We do know that Thantos have been told who his first opponent will be in the challenge of Pit Viper. Mr. Carter also made the announcement this upcoming weekends show will play host to crowning the first ever GWF Interplanetary Champion but this tournament will have a twist. 14 wrestlers will have their shot at becoming the first champions. Mr. Carter announced that who ever wins their first round match up the fastest will get a by into the semi-finals of the tournament. Those 14 men in the tournament will be Wolf, Lord Nexus, Star Warrior, Massif, Commander Sam, Omega, Comrade Terror, Death Knight, Executioner, Mutant, Exo-King, Ghengis Khan and The Invincible Krakan.
JR: January 24th thru the 26th here at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena will be alive with GWF Action. Tickets are still on sale now but going fast. Can Pit Viper start the weekend off with a bang? Only one way to find out, it all starts friday night, January 24th.

Pit Viper gave it his best chance but Thantos was not going to fall to the Viper.
