MAIN EVENT WRESTLING - TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS (Gwinnett Center, Atlanta, GA - 98% of tickets sold)
BATTLE ROYAL TO DETERMINE THE FIRST EVER MAIN EVENT TV CHAMPIONSHIP - Nick Madrid wins and claims the title.
NOTES: Always liked Nick and wanted to use him well in a fed. Very happy with the result!
MAIN EVENT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - PRELIMINARY ROUND
Adam Pearce def. Davey Richards by pinfall
Jigsaw def. Scorpio Sky by DQ
El Generico def. Brian Cage by pinfall
Frightmare def. A.R. Fox by pinfall
NOTES: Frightmare and A.R. Fox had the best match of the series, a great back and forth aerial assault. Loved the match, hope to book it again soon. Scorpio Sky was my initial victim of the DQ settings for Main Event Wrestling. If you roll a single DQ roll, the match is over. It is designed as such to simulate a family friendly environment where cheating and out of ring violence are strongly discouraged.
MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - SEMI-FINAL ROUND
The Colony (Fire Ant & Soldier Ant) def. Phi Beta Slam (Robert Anthony & Ryan Taylor) when Fire Ant pinned Robert Anthony
The Throwbacks (Sugar Dunkerton and Dasher Hatfield) def. The Huge Rock Stars (Rhett Titus and Johnny Yuma) when Dasher Hatfield pinned Johnny Yuma
NOTES: In spite of losing, both of the newly formed teams performed very well, and it gives the division legs. Phi Beta Slam is a pair of snobby frat boys who are "far better than any of you rabble sitting in the cheap seats". Huge Rock Stars is self explanatory, but the way they gel as a team makes a huge difference!
MAIN EVENT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - PRELIMINARY ROUND
Bryan Danielson def. Jay Lethal by submission
Terex def. Mike Quackenbush by pinfall
Johnny Goodtime def. Michael Elgin by pinfall
Willie Mack def. Eddie Edwards by DQ
NOTES: Eddie Edwards was having a great match prior to DQ. Danielson and Terex both had the best matches of the first round of singles qualifiers.
MAIN EVENT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - SEMI-FINAL ROUND
Jessie McKay def. Veda Scott by pinfall
Daizee Haze def. Courtney Rush by pinfall
NOTES: Both matches were excellent, and really helped to cement the importance and ability of the women's division. As both Main Event and Underground have limited rosters of women, the quality of the matches is crucial. And no one disappointed.
MAIN EVENT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - QUARTERFINAL ROUND
Adam Pearce def. Jigsaw by pinfall
El Generico def. Frightmare by countout
Bryan Danielson def. Terax by referee stoppage
Johnny Goodtime def. Willie Mack by referee stoppage
NOTES: Referee stoppage? Yes. Again, in order to keep blood and violence to a minimum, any time a wrestler accumulates 5 or more fatigue tokens, 2 sets of pin rolls are made. If the first roll fails, it is a pinfall or submission. If the second roll fails, the referee stops the match due to excessive bleeding. Some fans are not happy with this, but management holds their ground based on two items: it does help reduce the number of injuries to the wrestlers, and considering that Main Event offers children's tickets for $5.00, they don't want to do anything to upset parents or impressionable kids.
NOTES: El Generico vs. Frightmare was a classic match with a twist ending. Both men went outside of the ring, and they got into a scrum trying to keep the other from getting back in the ring. Generico broke free at the last second, and Frightmare lost it. We have a classic feud in the making here!
MAIN EVENT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - FINALS
Jessie McKay def. Daizee Haze to become the first ever Main Event Women's Champion!
NOTES: This was the best match of the night, just short of a five star match. There was an injury in the match, as Daizee Haze landed right on her head when McKay hit her with a Northern Lights Bomb. She has since been diagnosed with a concussion, and her return to action is not yet determined
MAIN EVENT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - SEMI-FINALS
Adam Pearce def. El Generico by pinfall
Bryan Danielson def. Johnny Goodtime by submission
NOTES: The Danielson/Goodtime match was very short, as Goodtime had his neck hurt in the Triangle Choke, leading to a quick tap out. There will be no long term damage to Goodtime.
MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - FINALS
The Colony defeated The Throwbacks by pinfall, when Green Ant pinned Dasher Hatfield to become the first ever Main Event Tag Team Champions
NOTES: In using the Colony, all three ants come to ringside, but only two of them wrestle in a match. The third ant usually has fun with the fans around ringside, and tonight, there was much to celebrate with the fans.
MAIN EVENT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - FINALS
Adam Pearce def. Bryan Danielson by pinfall to become the first ever Main Event World Heavyweight Champion
NOTES: Believe it or not. Pearce was the last entrant to get in the tournament, as there is a depth of talent in the singles division. But he is a workhorse, and he earned this title. Not sure who will be first to challenge him, but I look forward to seeing him defend the title. Great card, near sellout, and plenty of TV footage for syndication. Can't wait to see where the fed goes next!
MAIN EVENT WORLD CHAMPION: Adam Pearce, 240 lbs., San Diego, CA 1) Nick Madrid, 210 lbs., Albuquerque, NM 2) Johnny Goodtime, 205 lbs., Scranton, PA 3) Bryan Danielson, 190 lbs., Aberdeen, WA 4) Terex, 400 lbs., Boston, MA 5) El Generico, 180 lbs., Tijuana, Mexico 6) Frightmare, 156 lbs., Sleepy Hollow 7) Jigsaw, 189 lbs., Bronx, NY 8) The Hobo, 190 lbs., Hoboken, NJ 9) Ultramantis Black, 206 lbs., Black Tea Garden 10) Davey Richards. 208 lbs., Othello, WA

MAIN EVENT WRESTLING
Live Event from The Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, TX (69% of the arena seats sold)
Davey Richards def. Johnny Goodtime by referee stoppage
NOTES: Opening matches often takes place with the best workers in my feds. It's a trick I picked up from Kevin Sullivan. If you put two of your best on first to start the show, it not only ramps up the rest of the card and the wrestlers, but it encourages people to arrive early and stay for the whole show. This match did not disappoint, as it gave a good rub for Davey Richards. Johnny Goodtime is wildly popular with the fans, and will certainly find a title belt in this company, but Richards was able to utilize his submission skills to overcome his opponent. He locked Goodtime in a wicked ANKLE LOCK, but Goodtime would not submit. After lying motionless on the mat, the referee called for the bell to prevent any permanent injury. With Richards as a submission machine, he edges closer to the top of title contention.
The Throwbacks def. The Huge Rock Stars by pinfall
NOTES: Solid back and forth match up, but in the end, the combined finishers of The Throwbacks was too much for Main Event's resident rock band. The match ended when Dasher Hatfield caught Johnny Yuma with THE GRAND SLAM for the win. As a result of their victory, The Throwbacks will face The Colony next week for the Main Event Tag Team Championship.
Terex def. Shane Hollister by pinfall
NOTES: Squash match, pun intended. Terex is the largest wrestler in all of wrestling, and Shane Hollister had no way to survive THE BIG SPLASH.
El Generico def. Drew Gulak by pinfall
NOTES: Drew Gulak is known by Main Event fans as The Silent One. He never talks. Ever. But El Generico had to crowd solidly behind him as he put on an aerial display for the ages. He ended the match with a picture perfect moonsault.
Amber Gertner interviews... Scorpio Sky
Scorpio Sky came to the ring with five gorgeous women in dance gear. He took the time to introduce them to the crowd as The Scorpio Sky Experience. They are to dance for both him and the crowd after his many victories. With a confidence and cockiness that only he could profess, he let the crowd in Texas know that they didn't have to go far to find a hero to worship. He was standing right in front of them.
"I have the best suits, the best women, and VIP status in every nightclub the world over. No one can roll like me, no one can style like me, and no one can wrestle even close to his ability. So everyone here, just sit back and enjoy the view. This is what you paid to see."
Suddenly, one of the dancers screamed out. She said there was a bug in the ring. Then another dancer started stamping at the mat. As the women all bailed out of the ring, Scorpio Sky started cutting a promo on the squished bugs that were in the corner of the ring
"All I ask for is a ring worthy enough to contain my greatness. It appears that this arena is not worthy of neither myself or my ladies. These insects are like everybody else in this world. On your best day, you're an annoying little bug that is beneath me. On your worst days, you'll find yourself getting squished under the heels of my $3,800.00 shoes..."
Flying in down the aisle came Ultramantis Black, who was scheduled to wrestler later that night, who had had enough. He tore into Scorpio Sky and threw him out of the ring. The crowd cheered as Ultramantis did his insect pose on the top corner, ready to deathjump onto Sky. But then, The Scorpio Sky experience surrounded him, begging Ultramantis to not splash him. With a chuckle and a sneer, Scorpio Sky walked back to the locker room, with his ladies surrounding him with concerned looks.
NOTES: Scoprio Sky is a classic heel for me to use. I plan on making him cocky heel with the "better than you" approach. He pulls it off well, and The Scorpio Sky Experience is a way to recruit women from local venues to work that night as dancers. Down the road, not only could he turn face if the fans want it, but we can use the dancers as a means to introduce new women into the company. Ultramantis getting the cheers was also necessary, as I want him to be over with the fans. To which degree both men will be over is yet to be seen, but it's a good start.
INTERMISSION - TIME TO GRAB SOME DRINKS AND SNACKS AND BUY SOME MERCHANDISE. STARS PRESENT TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS: Brian Cage Tag Team Champs The Colony Frightmare Lakeside Ninjas (Tadarius Thomas and Johnny Gargano) Men At Work (Worker Ant and Shane Storm) TV Champion Nick Madrid World Champion Adam Pearce Mike Quackenbush Courtney Rush Tomasso Ciampa
NOTES: One of the things I focus on with Main Event Wrestling is that it is a family friendly affair. Even at their worst, the wrestler feuds here are seldom worse than frienemies who both spar and bond with each other. The autograph section is a way for the wrestlers to make some extra money and interact with the fans. Again, we want kids and parents feeling comfortable enough with the product to make it their own. And at the same time, we want the rest of the fans to have a good time as well.
Michael Elgin def. Jigsaw by countout
NOTES: Michael Elgin is a powerhouse, and Jigsaw just kept getting beaten down by him until he could not continue any further.
ACH def. A.R. Fox by pinfall
NOTES: Best match of the night, as both men were out on a mission to steal the show. These are two of the best aerial wrestlers in the company, and they put on one heck of a match. Lots of back and forth action, and a lot of crowd pops. What really made the difference, though, was the style of A.R. Fox. He is hardcore in the sense that he puts his body at risk with some of the most high impact offense these fans have ever seen. Sadly, in his pursuit of stealing the show, Fox caused himself some moderate injuries during this fight before finally falling to THE BIG BANG ATTACK. Fox had to be walked back to the locker room by trainers, and got a standing ovation from the crowd for his efforts. Initial assessments after the show have Fox missing at least two months of action with cracked ribs.
Leva Bates def. Veda Scott by pinfall
NOTES: Great debut for Bates, who made a good transition into singles action by modifying her SONIC SCREWDRIVER into singles maneuver where the opponent is driven back first into the mat. Also a great showing for Scott, who put forth a tremendous effort even in defeat. With Daizee Haze still recovering from her injuries, the depleted women's division needs to be stronger than ever.
The Hobo def. Ultramantis Back by disqualification
NOTES: This match was barely worth the effort, outside of setting up a future card. Barely a minute into the card, Scorpio Sky ran into the ring and punched out... The Hobo. As a result, Ultramantis Black was the loser of the match because his opponent was attached illegally. Both men looked tremendously upset, as Scorpio Sky kept on laughing all the way to the back. Lots of boos, as no one in the crowd was happy with any part of this segment.
Bryan Danielson def. 2 Cold Scorpio by disqualification
NOTES: Bryan Danielson is the number one contender for the World Championship, and a victory of 2 Cold Scorpio would have cemented his title shot. 2 Cold Scorpio gave it a yeoman's effort, but Danielson had just too much offense for him to handle. As Danielson locked in Scorpio in the CATTLE MUTILATION for what would have been a certain victory, Adam Pearce ran into the ring and smashed Danielson in the face with the belt. As the referee, called for the bell, Pearce then took out Scorpio with a JUMPING PILEDRIVER. Suddenly, TV Champion Nick Madrid ran to the ring swinging his belt and, deciding he had done enough for one night, Pearce left the ring as Madrid tended to his friends. Just as Pearce was at the entrance to the locker room, Danielson and Madrid grabbed the microphone and made him a challenge. Next week, it would be TV Champion Nick Madrid and Bryan Danielson vs. Adam Pearce and a partner of his choice.
Calling for a microphone himself (we have a budget, truly), Adam Pearce said "Any partner I want?" After a few seconds, a rather sinister smile came across his face. With a laugh, he ended the card with the following message:
"Next week, I will meet you with a partner you are not expecting. Madrid, you are going to look like a second rate, wanna-be champion when I am through with you. And Danielson... next week... SCHOOL IS IN SESSION... (laughter)

MAIN EVENT WRESTLING PRESENTS...
Live event from The Don Coleman Coliseum, Houston, TX (76% of tickets sold)
Before the matches begin, please welcome the new Commissioner of Main Event Wrestling... MATT STRYKER!!!
"I am here to make sure that all of the men and women in Main Event Wrestling obey the rules and play nice. Because if you get in trouble, it will be a visit to my office, and believe me, you don't want to be there!"
CIBERNETICO QUALIFYER MATCH: Terex vs. Bryan Cage (BUSTED OPEN)
Right off the bat, we have a five star match between two epic powerhouses in the company, and both fighting for a spot to represent Main Event Wrestling in the upcoming Cibernetico Pay Per View. This was a match that had both men stretched to their limits, and an amazing display of power. In the end, Terex caught Cage with THE RUNNING AVALANCE for the pinfall victory, but at a cost. In his pursuit for the victory, he injured his knee, and will be out at least a month. So while Terex wins the spot for Cibernetico, will he be healthy enough to compete? - WINNER BY PINFALL - TEREX
Ultramantis Black vs. Scorpio Sky
Falling out from last weeks encounter, this match was a quick non-event. As soon as the bell rang, Ultramantis Black caught him with THE PRAYING MANTIS BOMB. Match took all of 12 seconds. WINNER BY PINFALL - ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
#1 CONTENDERS MATCH - Courtney Rush vs. Leva Bates
A good back and forth match between two top contenders, but as soon as Rush caught Bates with THE OLYMPIC SLAM, it was all over. Will Courtney Rush be able to use her devastating finisher next week to win the title from Women's Champion Jessie McKay? WINNER BY PINFALL - COURTNEY RUSH
The Hobo vs. Davey Richards
Everybody's favorite tramp went out against "The American Wolf", and paid the price. This was another quick match, as Davey Richards took advantage of a missed turnbuckle charge to catch Hobo with THE ANKLE LOCK. So far, no one has been able to counter this devastating hold, and it is taking Richards to the top of the rankings. WINNER BY SUBMISSION - DAVEY RICHARDS
Lakeside Ninjas (Johnny Gargano & Tadarius Thomas) vs. Men At Work (Worker Ant & Shane Storm)
Better match going into intermission, but the crowd is still out of it with all of the quick matches proceeding it. Still, it was a classic showing of two fan favorites who kept the action going until Worker Ant caught Tadarius Thomas with a roll up for a 1-2-3. Still unanswered, why is Worker Ant not by the side of his fellow Ants? He is the oldest of the Ant's, but he is going at it with a new partner. What is the connection? WINNERS BY PINFALL - MEN AT WORK
Intermission - come on down and try some of the best BBQ in Texas!!!
Bill Apter interviews... C AND C WRESTLING FACTORY
"We are ready to bring our teamwork and high flying offense to Main Event Wrestling! Come on and come all, everybody will see tag team excellence so dazzling, it will make you want to dance!"
Tomasso Ciampa vs. ACH
Now we're picking it up in The Lone Star State! A great clash of styles that has the crowd back into the night of action. The Sicilian Psychopath threw his varied offense against ACH, but ACH seems to be one step ahead whenever he is in the ring. He was able to catch Ciampa in THE SPINNING CLOVERLEAF to get the victory. How soon will ACH turn his victories into championship gold? WINNER BY SUBMISSION - ACH
El Generico vs. Mike Quackenbush
A great clinic was put forth for the fans, but sadly they went the full 15 minutes without there being a winner. It was a clean match with some dazzling offense and great counters, but just didn't have a finish. The fans may have been happy with the draw, but Commissioner Matt Stryker was not...
"I am disappointed with the efforts put forth tonight, and I need to have some of you make it up for both the fans and for me. I want our talent to be the best in the world, and to that end, next week, it will be you two along with Scorpio Sky and Ultramantis Black in a Four Way Elimination Match. If you win, there may be some gold in your future. Until then, you are dismissed... and think about what you've done!"
TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Colony (Fire Ant & Green Ant) vs. The Throwbacks (Sugar Dunkerton & Dasher Hatfield)
Best Match Of The Night! This was some of the best action ever seen in the tag team division. The early advantage went to The Colony, who use teamwork and coordination better than any team wrestling today. But when it comes to high impact moves, no one hits hard than The Throwbacks. 22 minutes of classic wrestling in, Sugar Dunkerton was able to catch Green Ant with THE GRANDSLAM DUNK to score the pinfall, and to win some gold for their trophy case. Great sportsmanship at the end, as The Colony handed the belts to their friends after the match, and joined the crowd in cheering them on. WINNERS BY PINFALL... AND NEW MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS... THE THROWBACKS
MAIN EVENT: World Champion Adam Pearce & ? vs. TV Champion Nick Madrid & Bryan Danielson
Last week, Adam Pearce promised to take Bryan Danielson to school. Throughout the night, many thought that Commissioner Stryker was going to be the partner, being a former high school teacher. But after entering the ring alone, Adam Pearce shocked the crowd...
"Bryan, I know all about you. I know where you have wrestled, and I know what you can do. But more to the point, I know who trained you to do what you do. Well, let me introduce you to your teacher's teacher... MARTY JANNETTY!"
Fans were surprised as the familiar three chord song came over the loud-speakers, as Marty Jannetty came down to ringside. It made quite a difference, too, as Danielson and Madrid were no match for Pearce. Later interviews would reveal that Adam Pearce picked knowledge from Jannetty about the offense of both men. Oddly enough, despite calls from both Jannetty and the crowd, Jannetty was never tagged in to the match. It took a matter of 9 minutes for Pearce to tear apart the offense of both men and capture Danielson in a roll up for a surprisingly clean victory. WINNERS BY PINFALL - MARTY JANNETTY AND WORLD CHAMPION ADAM PEARCE
After the match, Jannetty went over to shake the hands of his opponents, when he was cut off by Pearce, who proceeded to berate Jannetty over the microphone...
"Marty, you were brought in here for one reason. It wasn't so you could shake hands. It wasn't so you could have a moment in the spotlight. It wasn't even so you could wrestle. You were brought in here so I could get inside of Bryan Danielson's head. You were just a tool, Marty. and you will always be a tool. So do everyone here a favor, get the hell out of my ring, and go back to whatever rock you were living under when I found you!"
That was all he could stand. Jannetty caught Pearce off guard with a dazzling dropkick right to the face. As Pearce fell to the ring side area, Jannetty turned to Danielson and Madrid, and picked up the microphone...
"Bryan, Nick, I'm sorry. I came in to help Pearce with the match, and was hoping for a chance to wrestle you both tonight. But after seeing what kind of man Adam really is, I think I picked the wrong partner."
As the two men shook hands with Jannetty, Pearce shouted his disgust to the ring and started to walk away... when he was cut off by Commissioner Stryker.
"Adam, your conduct was deplorable and beneath contempt. You do not bring in a legend and treat them like that. So I'm going to make it right. Marty, you've had a glorious career, and deserve a lot better than this. So next week, I'm giving you a one on one match against Adam Pearce. And I want to give you both some extra incentive. Marty, you've had a glorious career, but never won a World Championship. If you can beat Adam Pearce one on one next week, I'll give you the title shot you've always wanted. CLASS DISMISSED!"
**********
