There have been all these rumors about Brock winning this match and carrying the title to 'Mania. But then I also heard that The 'E may swerve everyone because of said rumors and have Cena win at Summerslam, only to lose the next night on RAW. I voted Cena but I must say that wouldn't it ruin Brock just a little bit if he couldn't beat Cena after being the 1 in 21-1? I know Cena is billed as this freak competitor but still...

There have been all these rumors about Brock winning this match and carrying the title to 'Mania. That would be so awesome. Fans can't have it both ways. We all hate that Cena is a 15 time champ BUT we also want to shit on part-timers and say we need a champ who shows up on RAW every week. So which is it? I can't figure out for the life of me exactly when or why the WWE started shitting on the IC and tag titles. Neither belt is being defended tonight at Summerslam. Yet legends like Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Demolition, the British Bulldogs, HBK and SO MANY MORE literally became famous thanks to carrying these championships around. WTF happened? Would an IC or tag title match main eventing RAW instead of Cena or Orton vs. someone every single week kill anyone? I almost think Steve Austin wrecked the WWE in a way with his mega popularity, because ever since all they've ever tried to fucking recreate is someone vs. the McMahons. They're so obsessed with it and keep doing it over and over and over in hopes of having lightning strike twice than seemingly everything else has stopped getting attention. It's like the curse of HBK, EVERY good tag team gets split up and WWE tries to build a singles superstar. Is WWE REALLY better now with the Shield split up? Not to me. Put the belt on Brock and let him take it up North and go hunting with it for a few months. Build up some top contenders. Build up a real IC division. Put these guys in the main events. Make people yearn to see the big belt instead of trotting it out on TV 6 times a week.

They killed the belts when they started switching them every month or two. HBK even said it in his book that instead of creating a storyline the titles changing hands became the storyline. They had Cody bring back the I-C belt pretty good a couple years ago and now it's just kind of dead again. They need to drop the U.S. belt. They also need to not have the champions wrestling every week on RAW. It only takes the public a few months with a guy holding the belt and they get restless seeing him win all the time. They need to create some new teams, and not just throw one together and in their first match they are wresling for the tag titles.

For the Summerslam picks on the official board, I was at first tempted to vote for Cena as there are/were reportedly Cena vs Rollins matches for the title taking place at live events after Summerslam. But the card is always subject to change.
Right now is a critical time for the WWE in regards to its WWE Network being heavily promoted at $9.99/month as the WWE seeks to retain the initial 6 month subscriptions set to expire this month and acquire new international subscriptions that were just made possible last week. Instead of same old same old with Cena as the champion, the best way to achieve both of those goals IMO is to put the belt on Brock Lesnar (who is announced to be on tomorrow night's RAW from Las Vegas.)

That will go down as one of my all time top 5 favorite matches. It also solidifies Brock at no.3 on the GOAT list and no.1 all-time in the post-Hogan/Flair era.
1- Hogan 2- Flair 3- Brock 4- Austin 5- Taker
