This is Kevin Kelly and wrestling fans are about to witness history as the first ever Ring of Honor Championship Tournament is about to begin! The roster was seeded and all twenty-five wrestlers will attempt to be the first to hold the World Heavyweight Title.”Preliminary Round:Mark Brisco versus Cedric Alexander. The C & C Wrestle Factory member was simply overwhelmed with the red neck kung fu antics of Mark Brisco and would be brought down with a CUT-THROAT DRIVER. Mark Brisco will face Kevin Steen in the next round. (**) Jay Brisco versus Caprice ColemanDifferent match...same result...however, Jay performed a flying clothesline that sent the C & C Wrestle Factoy member crashing to the arena floor and Caprice would not make it back into the squared circle before he was given the ten count. This Brisco brother faces Davey Richards in the next round. (*) Adam Cole versus Rhett TitusThese two battled for a few minutes before Cole caught Rhett with a running lariat! Cole quickly executed a FLORIDA KEY finisher for the victory! Adam Cole will battle Shelton Benjamin in the next round. (1/2 *) Jay Lethal versus Nick JacksonThe first huge upset of the tournament as the Young Buck member had an answer for everything that "Black Machismo" threw at him. At the waning moments, Jackson executed a superkick and climbed to the top turnbuckle. After a death defying 450 SPLASH, Nick would have his hand raised in victory and will lock up with Homicide next. (1/2 *) Steve Corino versus Kyle O'ReillyNot much to report for this contest as Steve Corino demolished his opponent and executed three consecutive OLD SCHOOL LARIATs before covering the limp body of O'Reilly. The Old School wrestler will be across El Generico in the next round. (* 1/2) Michael Elgin versus Matt JacksonThe second member of the Young Bucks could not find any kinks in "The Unbreakable" One's armor and would fall early to a series of SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB maneuvers for the duke. Elgin will lock horns with Rhino in the following round. (*) Tommaso Ciampa versus Jimmy JacobsA small upset as Jimmy Jacobs withstood a beating but would catch "The Dominant Male" in a RAILROAD SPIKE for the referee to slap the canvas three times. "The Vampire Princess" will hook up against Roderick Strong in the next round. "Well fans, thanks for joining us this evening! See you on our next broadcast!"

RING OF HONOR Television Taping #2 January 18, 2015 Ford Community & Performing Arts Center Dearborn, Michigan The ROH World Tournment continues....Preliminary Round:Eddie Edwards versus Mike MondoA shocker as Mike Mondo quickly took control of the bout and executed several NO FEAR DDTs for the duke. Mike Mondo will face the winner of Mike Bennett/Charlie haas bout. (*) Mike Bennett versus Charlie HaasCharlie Haas had his hands full with not only Bennett but with Maria and Brutal Bob constantly poking their noses into the contest. After Haas used HAAS OF PAIN, Maria reached up and placed her protege's foot on the bottom rope. Haas argued with the referee for a moment but when he turned around- a PHOTO FINISH by Bennett and the Bostonian covered him for the three count. Mike Bennett will battle Mike Mondo in the next round. (** 1/2) First Round:Davey Richards versus Jay BriscoA one sided battle as Brisco had a heckuva time with Richards. The American Wolves member easily countered everything that the Brisco brother had to offer and used a multiple suplex assault for the victory. Davey will face off against the winner of Adam Cole/Shelton Benjamin next. (* 1/2) Homicide versus Nick JacksonNick jackson's luck ran out as the former LAX member used a series of high impact moves and after only three minutes- executed the DA GRINGO KILLER for the easy pin. The Mexican superstar will meet the winner of Steve Corino/El Generico next round. (* 1/2) Kevin Steen versus Mark BriscoThe number one seed tossed around the second Brisco brother and signaled for his finisher. However, Brisco had other ideas and used a lowblow to bring Steen down to his knees. The referee didn't want anything to do with this and called for the bell...disqualifying Mark Brisco!!! Kevin Steen will face off against the winner of Mike Mondo/Mike Bennett in the next series. (DUD). Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.

RING OF HONOR Television Taping #3 January, 24, 2015 The North Atlanta Trade Center Norcross, Georgia The ROH World Tournment continues....First Round:Mike Mondo versus Mike"The Prodigy" BennettWhenever Mondo started to gain momentum, Maria would intervene and bring control of the bout to her protege. Otherwise, Bennett dictated the entire match and ended the one sided affair with a BOX OFFICE SMASH (***). Adam Cole versus Shelton BenjaminSuprisingly, Shelton Benjamin barely put up a fight as Cole tossed him around like a sack of potatoes! After several near pinfalls, Adam Cole connected with a FLYING CROSSBODY for the three count. (** 1/2) El Generico versus Steve CorinoEasily the best match of the first round and both participants gave it their all. However, all things must come to an end....and what a crazy end it was!!! El Generico attempted a BRAINBUSSSTAAAAHH!! but Corino moved out of the way at the last moment and countered with a bridging belly to back suplex! El Generico received a two count and Corino signaled for the OLD SCHOOL LARIAT but the Mexican superstar countered with a school boy roll up to get the duke! (****) Michael Elgin versus RhinoThis match was a dissapointment considering the participants involved! These two lumbered around the squared circle for what seemed like an eternity until Rhino caught Elgin in a release powerbomb for the referee to slap the canvas three times. (*) Jimmy Jacobs versus Roderick StrongAnother one sided affair as Roderick Strong thumped Jacobs for several minutes before ending the contest with a STRONGHOLD. (*). Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.
