Obviously I haven't played much this year. Two new kids, new house and all that comes along with both. Been a great 20 months since this roller coaster started, but the one thing I'm missing is my cards and dice time. Last summer I found myself fighting to stay awake until 3am sometimes to just get a card finished and typed up. That didn't last long. Now for the first time ever, I'm behind with a new set coming out (and waaaay behind on my Indy feds).
But the itch doesn't care about any of that. The itch says find a way. Play. Play. Play. The itch keeps me up at night. "Just one card." It whispers. And as the new sets get closer, the itch becomes harder to ignore. "You know you want to play Impossible Tournament" it taunts me.

Ever heard of the saying "You can let go of the game, but the game won't let go of you"? The game can taunt you sometimes if you haven't played in awhile. But I understand your situation. At work, I have the need to play cotg online, but I know that I have a job to do. And when my friends come to visit, they see my Indy Fed and all the GWF cards I have and they go WOW and want to play. Sometimes Swarm we wonder why we do what we do. But at least we all have fun with it.

I know that feeling. I thought I was done running 2130, but then the other day just had an urge to run one with the teasers. Probably going to end up doing a few more before the release.

I've had a half dozen COTG slumps in my lifetime, including a 2-year one right now. Never stop thinking about the game and I know it'll always be there for me to come back to.

My problem is that I love all of the game systems. I got back in this game with New Beginnings. Did a hundred or so cards and got a real good deal on EBay from someone selling his entire LOW set including LE's and SE's. Got hardcore into that. Then came the Z. Then I went back to the original COTG. Then came Zfinity. And then there are all the lulls in between. I've got ADD when it comes to this friggin game!! But I'm constantly thinking of it. Whichever one I am currently playing; I am always coming up with angles and matches. The Z has my time right now but have been seriously thinking of getting ROH. New Beginnings has been calling me as well as the original.

I too am in the longest hiatus of my COTG playing...but you know what travelled with me the last three weeks from HI to IL? My COTG game gear...carried right there in the back pack right where it belongs for easy access!
I know over the next few months as we get settled in that there is going to be an afternoon/evening where the itch will take over and I will be throwing the bones!
I think the endless summer of Hawaii was just too strong for steady gaming (I can't remember the last time I was on my X-Box either!)
I will say though, that I lived vicariously through all of your feds here on the boards!
