NB Card 58 - SOLAR FLARE Niagara Tower of Lights, Earth
VidCam: Vidtek is spying on Valour and Lorelei in their locker room.
Valour: I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done to help me over the past year. I mean, I was going crazy, lashing out at everyone, acting jealous and deranged, losing friends. I was miserable until you came along.
Lorelei: You deserve to be happy. As long as you keep taking your medication, everything should be all right. You forgot to take it the other day, and looked what happened in your match against The Betrayer.
Valour: Back to my old self, losing control. Although I want to lose control against The Gatekeeper. He’s preventing me from going back home.
Lorelei: There’s nothing wrong with aggression, you just have to control it.
Valour: I know. I can’t let my inner pain affect my life. I’m so glad that Reckless is talking to me again. I really treated him poorly.
Lorelei: Friends can forgive all.
Valour: But I still just want to go home. I hope you can forgive me when I finally get to leave back to the Second Realm.
Lorelei: We’ll deal with that when the time comes.

Commissioner Massif heads down to the ring.
Massif: Before I get started, I’d like TitanGlory to come down here and join me.
Tristan and Reckless emerge from the back and make their way to the ring.
Massif: First of all, I’d like to apologize to both of you. Here we are on Titan, a place with a strong tradition of developing GWF superstars, and TitanGlory isn’t scheduled for a match. (crowd boos) Well, I’m going to make it up to you. Lord Nexus, come on down here!
The Titan crowd erupts as GWF legend Lord Nexus appears! Nexus shakes hands with the three men, then grabs a mic.
Lord Nexus: Tristan, Reckless, you guys are proudly carrying on the tradition of the great Titan tag teams, and for that I’m very thankful. Massif has asked me to appear at the Maxine Babe Fundraiser Festival and manage TitanGlory in a tag team match. I am honored to be making another appearance in the GWF, and I hope you’ll be there with me.
Massif: Here’s the proposal, guys. TitanGlory will compete in a tag team match, with Lord Nexus at your side, at the upcoming Maxine Babe benefit show. However, you won’t be competing against any ordinary tag team. Your two opponents will be randomly drawn. Any current GWF wrestlers not already competing in a match that night will be in the lottery. And one final note: the winners of the contest will get a shot at the GWF Tag Team Titles on the next GWF WarZone. Sounds like a plan?
Reckless: Although not a Titan by birth, I’m proud to be representing its’ great tradition in the GWF. This is a great opportunity for us!
Tristan: We would be honored to have Lord Nexus at our side. We’ll be there!

(****) Winners: Troubleshooters
Disaster vs. Kill Prey - Disaster came out on fire, quickly hitting three Decapitators on Kill Prey (who endured five total in the match.) Kill Prey did his best to hang in there, but Disaster used Aethran Dominance for the convincing victory. (***) Winner: Disaster
Epoch, Nosfera and Sly Drury vs. Bloodline, Tauran and Switchblade - All six men were involved, with Sly Drury absorbing the most punishment thanks to Bloodline. VidCam: Massif is in his office on Deimos, with Vanity, DragonMaster and Maxine Babe, one day before the Maxine Babe Fundraiser Festival.
Massif: It’s now time for the drawing to determine which two GWF superstars will team up to take on TitanGlory, and which half of the current tag team champions, The Troubleshooters, gets a Galactic Title shot, and which half faces the Inter-Planetary Champion at the Maxine Babe Fundraiser Festival.
Massif picks up a large bowl from his desk, which contains several slips of paper.
Massif: The name of each GWF star not already scheduled for a match is in the bowl. Two names will be drawn out, and those two men will team up to meet Tristan and Reckless, with the winner meeting The Troubleshooters on WarZone. Maxine, will you do the honors?
Maxine Babe reaches into the bowl, pulls out one slip of paper, and hands it to Massif:
Massif: The first half of the tag team to face TitanGlory is…Tauran!
Maxine Babe pulls another slip of paper out of the bowl.
Massif: And Tauran’s partner will be…WOW!!! Tauran’s partner will be Epoch!!!
Vanity: Wow is right. That should make for an interesting team! They’ll probably beat each other up on the way down to ringside!
Massif: OK. Now to determine whether Muss or The Bomb will face Swarm for the Galactic Title.
Massif removes the remainder of the slips of paper from the bowl, and inserts two others.
Massif: Whoever gets drawn faces Swarm, while the other meets Tricks for the Inter-Planetary Title. Maxine, please draw a name.
Maxine Babe selects one slip of paper and hands it to Massif.
Massif: Meeting Swarm for the Galactic Title will be…The Bomb. That means it’ll be Tricks vs. Muss for the IP strap.
Massif looks directly into the VidCam.
Massif: Fans, this should be a great night of fun. We’re pleased to announce that any fan will have access to watching this great night of wrestling live, simply by making a donation to the Maxime Babe Fundraiser fund. Any donation, no matter the size, will allow the donor to watch the show live. Plus, for those of you making the trip here to Deimos, we have an exciting afternoon of activities planned. DragonMaster, would you give the fans a quick rundown?
DragonMaster: I’d be glad to. Numerous GWF superstars, past and present, will be on hand tomorrow to sign autographs and mingle with fans. Among those scheduled to appear are: Endgame, Switchblade, Anivar, Payback, Stars & Stripes, Amazing Mann, Reynard B. Guile, Kati, Chaos, Alpha Force, Max Shield, Nefarus, Dreggs, Wolf, Amazonia, and the Matador of M83. Star Warrior will be holding a free wrestling clinic as well, where participants can learn some of the basic holds in wrestling. Plus, Johnny Rocket will be overseeing a broadcasting booth, where fans can watch classic GWF matches and add their own play-by-play, with tips from Rocket of course! Perhaps Vanity and I will hang by that booth to make sure Rocket’s doing a good job! One low fee will provide fans with access to everything. Naturally all money collected goes right to Maxine Babe to assist with her medical bills.
Maxine Babe: I really want to thank everyone associated with the GWF for all of their help. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
