I was delighted Wolf came through to win. He's the most successful wrestler in this bracket with 4 wins now but the last win was over 10 game years ago!

CARD 1135 – ONLY THE BEST (Tag) – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
(2109 winners - Alpha Power)
Added Attraction:
Heavyweight champ, Genocide, defeated Mandrill by DQ. It seemed inevitable that they would meet in a match for the biggest prize in wrestling. Mandrill has been creeping towards the top contender spot for a while now and just as he gets there Genocide demolishes Wolf to become champion. Mandrill’s poor record against Genocide comes under the microscope. Maybe he would end that hoodoo tonight. That would be bad news for Centra if he does. Deep down Mandrill would be hoping it’s Buck Steele who shows rather than Genocide but that seems to happen once in a blue moon these days. Unsurprisingly Genocide storms down the runway and he gets the mother of all receptions. I’m not sure he’s even worn his belt once. Always seems to be either swinging it above his head or carrying it over a shoulder. He enters the ring still swinging it and almost takes out Mandrill with one swipe. Mandrill had been trying to ignore him to speak with Sentry. He ends his conversation abruptly and says “ok you have my full attention now you freak, enjoy swinging that thing about whilst you still can. Minutes from now I will be champion again and you will all be my slaves”. Naturally Genocide tears into Mandrill on hearing this. The normal assortment of powerful attacks. However Mandrill rides them out and shows that he is much more capable of competing this time around. In fact he does more than that as comes close to delivering on his bold claims by actually winning. He managed to stun Genocide long enough to execute COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Genocide makes a late kick out but when he did it did throw Mandrill up several feet in the air. The near miss succeeded in riling Genocide. Mandrill did not muster a great deal more and it seemed a matter of time. Finally Genocide mounted the turnbuckle in readiness for CORPUS GENOCIDE. Sentry was right behind him and could easily of given him a nudge but fails to act. So Genocide is able to slam right into Mandrill. Sentry now wakes up and tried to blast Genocide with his stun gun. Really was a case of trying to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted and he missed anyway. Sentry now panicked and decided to enter the ring and smashes the bottom of the gun right down on Genocide’s head. Of course that’s an instant DQ. No way that Genocide didn’t feel it but he wasn’t about to give Sentry the satisfaction of looking hurt. He no sells the blow and shoves him two handed across the ring. Sentry hurtles straight into the opposite turnbuckle. The impact was hard enough to crack his suit and let some of the toxic fumes out. The crowd is so excited that the smell doesn’t bother them too much. As soon as Mandrill and Sentry are cleared from the ring high powered fans kick in and a normal fragrance returns.
Round 1:
Rebel Empire too good for the SWAT Team. Massive pop for SWAT Team who have gate crashed the tag bracket with a late run of wins. What a draw to be facing their feud enemies Rebel Empire. Given their past meetings though Rebel Empire are arrogantly assuming this will be a walkover. Wrongly we hoped. Unfortunately the SWAT Team didn’t really come close to causing an upset. Rebel Empire showed a gulf still exists between the two teams. They needed a few minutes to take care of Trench via EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT.
Twin Blood easily eliminated Malice and Overkill. Two meetings in as many cards. Things didn’t go so well in the last match for the Gladiators. They thought they were going to win the tag titles for the first time together only to drop the ball. That failure has added pressure on to win this event. Unfortunately there is no change in fortunes. In fact it’s even worse this time around. Malice never made it in the ring as Twin Blood successfully double teamed Overkill to get him pinned. Actually I tell a lie Malice did make it into the ring as he tried to rescue Overkill who was struggling in a scorpion death lock applied by Dreggs. Even though these are Titan Death matches referees are present to try and maintain some order or else it’d be a free for all. He blocks Malice off momentarily. Meanwhile in the background Twin Blood double teams Overkill again with a double drop kick followed by synchronised elbow drops. It ensures Overkill was stunned long enough to get him pinned. Malice and Overkill hang their heads in shame. Even though Aethra knows nothing of how the team is faring on Centra currently if they ever return to the known dimension all their failures will be discovered and as we know the tolerance is very low.
Titan Attack coast against Ninja Assassins. How would Titan Attack adapt to their incredible winning run coming to an end last month? The greatest teams are the ones that bounce back quickly. They are some way from being a legendary team but have the potential to become one. Fantastic match awaited as they faced a team they know very, very well in the form of the Ninja Assassins. We all know how good the Ninjas are although they’ve been very hit and miss on Centra. Tonight was one of those misses. They just didn’t seem ready for the speed of the Titans start and got eliminated in barely a couple of minutes. Scion Nexus did the deed on Daeman after an acrobatic flying shoulder took him down and a snake eyes roll then came up. Dragonmaster on commentary is obviously a fervent supporter of the Titans and struggled to maintain impartiality. He got so excited at this squash and described it comically as “easy peasy lemon squeezy”.
The Clones upset Desolation Factor. Two teams fresh off defeats. Not the best way to prepare for OTB. Desolation Factor had been mowing down all opposition until recently slipping up against Cygnus Strikeforce. That inconsistency has plagued them ever since they arrived in the GWF. They weren’t quite sure what to make of the Clones who were being their usual zany selves. Finally when the Clones got their serious heads on they faced up to Desolation Factor for what appeared to be a staredown. Naturally they were dwarfed. It seemed to go on a while until Mad Jester broke away cheering and laughing “we won, we won, Rack blinked first”. Was kind of funny but not to Desolation Factor who’d had enough. They both rushed at Jester who skilfully evaded them by jumping over the ropes and onto the arena floor. This cat and mouse then played out for a while until Rack finally got hold of one of the Clones. Defender of the Realm was the victim and he suffered greatly. Took RACKED AND RUINED twice among other devastating moves. Somehow he survived (mainly thanks to Jester) and out of nowhere made a reversal to get on L3O and unleash DEFENDER CANNON. It didn’t get him a successful pin. However it did allow Defender to get tagged out. After that Jester carried the team as Defender was in bad shape. Incredibly Jester was able to get a surprise win coping with both Rack and Ruin. He managed to get Ruin tangled in the ropes to unleash A DEAD MAN’S VERSE. Defender woke up to ward Rack off with his spear held in a threatening manner. Meanwhile Jester got a water bottle and squirted Ruin in the face before untangling and pinning him. The Clones have made Desolation Factor pretty angry with their antics tonight. Will Commando Sam allow them revenge as he may see that their priorities lie elsewhere?
Round 2:
Twin Blood make a huge comeback to beat Rebel Empire. Having negotiated their opening round matches quite easily both teams are very fresh. Whoever wins this will be hot favourites to go all the way. Twin Blood have already cemented their status as a legendary team with their achievements in such a short space time. If they pull this off they have a case to be recognised as one of the best teams ever to be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Brute and Massacre, Greek Gods and Superiority Complex. First to get past Rebel Empire though and they do. Only just. Rebel Empire were like things possessed in the beginning. Absolutely laying siege to Sleeze. He endured EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT and SCISSORDRIVER (twice) in the first few minutes. Through a bit of help, luck and endurance he came through it all. Obviously well beat up so desperately needed the hot tag which he got. Although it wasn’t super hot as Dreggs found life tough too when in the ring. However he fought valiantly and did enough to allow Sleeze a long recovery. Eventually Sleeze was able to get back involved and things evened up a lot. Then almost as if someone had flicked a switch Dreggs stepped it up another gear against Nefarus. He started using his singles finishers to weaken Nefarus before seeing that Sleeze was ready to go for something bigger. The tag was made and they linked up for SEEING DOUBLE. Vendetta was unable to save Nefarus as they were all out of pin saves. Twin Blood grabbed a win that seemed so unlikely earlier in the bout.
Titan Attack finally got the better of the Clones. Defender of the Realm didn’t look great heading into this. Still wobbly after taking so much punishment in the previous round. Didn’t stop the silliness though as Mad Jester gives him a piggyback to the ring. Ursa Major was tempted to head them off and deliver a dropkick. Two for the price of one. In the end he waited. Maybe the Clones would burn themselves out with their antics. When things settle down and the wrestling starts it’s, erm, dull as dishwater. Normally matches involving Titans have a nice flow to them. Not this one. It just went on and on and on. A few tokens accumulate but it’s almost as if both teams thought this was no finisher match or something. I suppose all things must end though. Got there in the end as Scion Nexus eventually pinned Mad Jester after THE RISE AND FALL. At least the fans were still excited as they cheered the outcome. Titan Attack is having a great year and whatever happens in the final nothing can take that away. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news though. These two teams are booked to face off again next month. Surely it has to be more entertaining.
Final:
Twin Blood outlasted Titan Attack to win the tournament. Finally these two great teams meet. Commissioner Morpheus may refuse to let them wrestle for the belts but nothing he can do about them clashing in the OTB final! A few fatigue tokens (Sleeze and Scion both have 3) ensures each team has one guy teetering on the edge of becoming a liability. Even though these were all hero wrestlers handshakes were spurned. The prize on offer too important to allow for any friendliness. However it did mean outside brawling was less of a thing with the two Titans choosing to remain in the ring at all times and Twin Blood only doing it occasionally to break any offensive momentum gained against them. As expected Dragonmaster was going pretty nuts on the commentary. He’d lost any impartiality and was even being told to calm down by his co-commentator. It was a much more flowing match overall and both teams had plenty of good moments. As time ticked on though Twin Blood seemed to be getting stronger. They’d had a bit more rest between matches and it began to show. Scion Nexus was struggling the most as he was on the end of several finisher attempts. He withstood as many as he could. Eventually Twin Blood tried for TWICE BITTEN again and it yielded success. Dreggs and Sleeze can do no wrong this year. So much success and they now become only the second team after Superiority Complex to win the OTB tag bracket more than once.

CARD 1136 – ONLY THE BEST (Singles) – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
(2109 winner - Paragon)
Added Attraction:
Ladies champ, Sniper, keeps knocking back the challengers as she beats Anaxis. Sniper has just passed 50 cards as the ladies champion. It’s the second longest reign in history. A magnificent achievement but she is determined to keep it going and hunt down the record still held by Supernova which is 63 cards. Her opponent Anaxis has held titles before and represented a real threat. Especially having just beaten Sniper at a dark show to win the unofficial ladies OTB tournament. However tonight after her initial offence fails to make a mark Anaxis looks bereft of ideas. Sniper soon takes over and manages to get instant revenge by gunning Anaxis down with TARGET PRACTICE. Anaxis was frustrated and tried to attack Sniper in the aftermath only to be levelled again with a swivelling kick. Anaxis falls through the ropes and looks very undignified as she ends up on top of a ringside table legs akimbo.
Round 1:
Pegasus disposed of Dark Justice. No question Pegasus is one of the all time greats but he has never won OTB. It’s just one of those things much like how the Champions team could never win TEAM SUPREME or Brute and Masscre never won the tag bracket. However Pegasus has a big ego and it really bothers him that he hasn’t managed to achieve it. Plus he could be running out of time as surely his prime years will soon be at an end. Fortunately this stab at it starts off pretty well as he comes through this relatively unscathed. Almost had it won in less than a minute via PROJECT PEGASUS. Justice was struggling to stem the tide initially and only just avoided an embarrassing early loss. As the minutes ticked by Justice offered a bit more offence. However never really looked threatening. The climax came when Pegasus suckered him with a sunset flip and booked his passage into the second round.
Mandrill beats Paragon in a titanic tussle. Paragon was triumphant in the last OTB but is not among the favourites this time around after landing such a tough first round and also being on the same side of the draw as Pegasus. He would need to be at his very best to beat Mandrill who was still licking his wounds after failing to wrest the Heavyweight belt from Genocide. Psychological warfare becomes the early theme. Mandrill offers Paragon the chance to lay down and lose the match and adds “if you do I might spare you from becoming my slave when I fully takeover Centra”. Paragon laughs at the suggestion “takeover? Your team couldn’t even beat a team that up until a few months ago had never wrestled before”. Bit risky for Paragon to say that as it kind of insulted the ROC team although I don’t think that was intention. Mandrill never expected Paragon to comply, just wanted to screw around with his mind. His next move was to attempt a low blow. Paragon caught the fist and set about destroying Mandrill. It was relentless in the first few minutes. His move of choice was the Whirlybird Backbreaker which happened over and over again. However fatally he didn’t go for his finisher. Seemed to be holding it back. Perhaps wanted to prolong the punishment or feared Mandrill might survive it if he didn’t do enough build up damage. Paragon hates it when anyone takes the move and goes on in the match. He often brags about his unstoppable finisher and it bruises his ego. It gave Mandrill a fighting chance and the longer things went on the threat started to grow. His notorious Voltaic Stunner signalled a turning point. Paragon begin to come under more prolonged spells of pressure and his low pin rating became less of a factor as tokens were added. Mandrill sensed a chance and wasn’t nearly so shy about using his trademark moves. A second hit with MUTANT MAULER managed to yield him the victory and knock the defending champion out. A colossal tussle between Mandrill and Pegasus now awaits.
Rising Sun breezes past Terminus. Rising Sun had been unhappy with the direction he has been headed. Wrestling some low key matches. However he now recognises what Lord Nexus has been doing. It’s given him a steady trickle of wins and ensured he is now at the top table and competing in this elite tournament. Would now be a good time to face Terminus? Having just lost the Heavyweight belt Terminus could be vulnerable or vengeful. It proved to be the former. Rising just blew him away. Terminus underestimated Rising’s incredible agility. Having a flying mare countered. Rising then executes a moonsault press followed by a SUNSET SPECTACULAR to win the bout with little more than a minute gone. I’d call that a squash.
Corporal Aegis dominated Thunder. Some think both these guys are lucky to be in the main tournament. Aegis because Genocide is more suited to the cage bracket and much like another hardcore icon, Wolf, preferred to be in it. Thunder because of Vengeance being detained by Detective Quidun. Not that it’s wise to suggest he was lucky to his face. The interviewer who said it to him was almost put through a wall. Anyway Aegis was able to rub more salt into the wounds of the rowdy Gladiators who have endured a miserable OTB so far with first round exits in both the cage and tag brackets. He absolutely tore in Thunder and dominated. Almost winning fast with a series of Opening Salvo into CORPORAL PUNISHMENT combos. It only relented because Thunder fell out the ring. As Aegis tried to fetch him back to the ring Thunder used his brawling superiority to turn the tide. Everyone feared for Aegis as Thunder then went to the top rope for a deathjump. The early battering must of affected Thunder though as he missed the mark. An eruption of cheering now as Aegis forced himself to stand and go on the attack unleashing his finisher again. This time it managed to keep Thunder pinned and put the seal on an awful OTB for the Gladiators. The win by Aegis has rescued the event for ROC as up until now they hadn’t done too well either.
Round 2:
Pegasus storms into the final by beating Mandrill. Huge encounter between two of the biggest hitters around. They’ve never directly feuded but have met a few times before and are in a bizarre way insanely jealous of each other. Mandrill wants to be top guy and to have countless successful Heavyweight belt reigns like Pegasus has had. All he’s had is 3 very insignificant ones. Whilst Pegasus hates the fact that, in his eyes, a far inferior wrestler like Mandrill has won this tournament before (wayback in 2101) and he hasn’t. Naturally Mandrill gets jeered throughout. He really rubbed Pegasus up the wrong way from the get go by calling him “past your prime and not fit to lace my wrestling boots”. Pegasus needed little motivation to get stuck into him anyway. He finds Mandrill very difficult to breakdown though. In fact neither could really get the upper hand for a good while. I suppose it’s not unusual for two such juggernauts to cancel each other out. Then Pegasus was handed an opportunity as Mandrill hits the self destruct button and misses with a deathjump. This was the swing in favour that Pegasus needed to move towards victory. He gets a lot of L3O offence going. The crowd were willing him to go for PROJECT PEGASUS. However it’s a Tomahawk Thrust that brings him joy. In no way does Pegasus hit it like Omega once did but he has a pretty good execution and it’s been responsible for several wins in his career. Pegasus affords himself a little smile. Must be thinking that this year might finally be his year. Shame nobody in the known dimension will see it. Mandrill recovers and takes huge offence to the fans cheering his loss. He grabs the mic and signs off by crying out “everyone’s against me just because they fear my becoming the ruler of Centra. Nobody understands that by being my slave it will protect them. I hear stories about Ravagers and other dangerous entities. The Colonizers will conquer and vanquish all threats”. With that he throws the mic onto the floor and stomps off. The only thing that could make this moment worse is if Corporal Aegis now goes onto the win the whole tournament.
Rising Sun dazzles to beat Corporal Aegis. Fair to say Rising Sun has done well ever since going solo. He could do with a dedicated singles card but has generally slipped into singles wrestling like it is an old shoe. There have been secondary belt reigns and now this impressive run to the latter stages of OTB. However for once he has to get used to not having much support because the crowd is popping like mad for Corporal Aegis. It’s hard to eclipse Rising’s popularity unless it’s Aegis of course! The pair sportingly hug and chat before the bell. As soon as it goes though it’s all business. Maybe it was the occasion or just a lack of experience but Aegis does not get anywhere near the heights of his last round performance. In fact he was dangerously close to losing in just 2 moves. That would have been awful it had been a squash and fortunately Aegis avoided that embarrassment. He just couldn’t cope with Rising’s speed and agility though. Any offence he did muster was brief at best. Rising must of gone through his whole repertoire many times over in the match. Ultimately it was his SUNSET SPECTACULAR that got the pin. Rising could barely believe he was in the final of this tournament now. The fans who had mainly been behind Aegis gave him a good reception. Aegis showed his class. Lifting Rising’s arm and acknowledging a very worthy winner.
Final:
Pegasus overcomes Rising Sun to win the tournament. Pegasus has been a model of consistency and calmness throughout. However there must be nerves. He is within touching distance of the trophy that has eluded him for so long. He could never of imagined that someone like Rising Sun would be opposing him in a match of this magnitude. Rising makes a fast start. There is a very early pin attempt and the dice weren’t a million miles away from giving Pegasus a shock. However it all proves a step too far for Rising. After the near miss Pegasus pretty much takes over. Builds up steady offence and then goes for PROJECT PEGASUS. Rising cannot kick out and it’s all over. Bit of an anti-climax for a final. Pegasus jubilantly lifts the trophy. He’s finally laid the ghost to rest. Then he claps Rising for the part he played in this tournament whilst urging the crowd to join his applause. Rising graciously accepts and pats Pegasus on the back. I wonder if Pegasus have done the same had he lost. It’s easy to act all friendly when you’ve just won. Pegasus later posts on Spacebook some pictures of him posing with the trophy with a message for Mandrill who had taunted him earlier “past my prime huh? I’m still the man. It’s only a matter of time before that Heavyweight belt is back around my waist”.

Latest News:
ONLY THE BEST notes … The big winners were Pegasus, Twin Blood and Wolf. Pegasus finally got his hands on the one big accolade he’s been missing and it was great to see Wolf win the cage tournament for a fourth time. It’s been so long since he has triumphed. Of course it was a popular win although deep down the fans had hoped Genocide would do it. Probably most impressive is Twin Blood. There are never easy matches at OTB but they had it particularly tough. It seemed apt that they would face Titan Attack in the final. These two teams have been the stand out performers so far this year and it was good to finally see them face off. Let’s hope Commissioner Morpheus sees sense and books them in a title match soon. Losing to Pegasus in the singles tournament proves not to be the end of the world for Mandrill as he has another big title match to look towards. His run to the second round plus the fact he only lost to Genocide by DQ is deemed enough to keep him in the top contenders spot. Another guy that shouldn’t be too down on himself is Skinhead. Not long out of rehab and made an improbable run to the cage bracket final. In the end Wolf had too much for him. When you think it wasn’t too long ago that Skinhead was staggering out of bars late and as drunk as a lord this has to go down as a phenomenal achievement. ROC didn’t have a great set of tournaments apart from the run of Corporal Aegis in the singles bracket. Aegis says “we have to take the rough with the smooth, recently we have enjoyed success beyond our wildest dreams, it’s just time to keep smiling and look forward to the next matches”. Elsewhere the Gladiators had a poor OTB with first round exits across the board. Malice and Overkill’s recent rise to a tag title shot, which they lost, merely papering over the cracks. Perhaps behind their emotionless and rowdy exteriors Massacre’s death has affected them more than we all thought?
Wolf, fresh off the back of his recent successes, has hinted that he is fed up with the Centaurians-Brymstone feud and is looking to move onto something new. The disharmony between Lorelei and Archon hasn’t helped. Plus he has been in the team a long time by his standards. This will disappoint Amazonia who has grown very close to Lorelei and sees her as a kindred spirit. No point trying to second guess Wolf’s movements. He could end up anywhere.
Krakan has sought out Doomsayer to help with control techniques for Grovel. The Primus native has shown itself to be a useful addition to the Hitmen and Krakan thinks it is a keeper. Unlike when Mutant was under his care Krakan wants to try and keep it under more control and deliver more care. Never thought I’d be using the words Krakan and care in the same sentence. Anyway for a princely sum (and guarantees of Hitmen protection) Doomsayer has devised a series of white noise algorithms. The sounds when played have a soothing effect on Grovel and remove its violent urges. The first test was a success. Grovel was placed into a room with a large stuffed teddy bear and within seconds it had ripped the toy apart and was gorging on its fluffy innards. Then over the speaker an assortment of sounds were played. Not exactly relaxing to the normal ear. However it had the effect of calming Grovel down. So much so that it actually then picked up what was left of the teddy and started gently cradling and licking its head.
Speaking of the Hitmen Tough Guy is knee deep with problems. The rumouring is that he is in the last chance saloon and the other Hitmen are ready to turn on him again. Not just because of his unreliability but for fraternising with Sniper. They were pictured together at a restaurant on what appeared to be a date. In other news, an extension to the three way feud between the Terrorists - Fighting Titans - Hitmen there has been some drama surrounding Mutant. Both the Titans and Hitmen set on daring rescue missions after online pictures appeared of it wallowing in its own filth. Sadly neither team succeeded. Obviously Lord Nexus, being the wonderful human that he is, had genuine concern for its welfare. Krakan on the other hand just wanted to pair it with Grovel as a gross out tag team which (by the sounds of it) might be needed to replace 3rd Planet.
It’s fair to say the GWFC experiment on Centra is a huge success. The people have taken wrestling to their hearts and the shows are the highest rated on TV. The pay per view buys have broken all records. The next ratings smash is a highly anticipated warts and all documentary set to be hosted by Trisis. It will air weekly for the remainder of the year in a series of one hour special. A chance for fans to go behind the scenes and get to know these colourful characters even more. It will be called UNMASKED and is kind of a sequel to a documentary by the same name that played in the known dimension many many years ago.
INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – none
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
SKINHEAD - Normally it’s the OTB winners that get all the plaudits but considering the dark place Skinhead was in a little over a month ago his effort and inner courage has to be applauded.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
TWIN BLOOD - They might as well give them the award to keep they have won it so many times this year. It was yet another outstanding month. OTB glory and not one but TWO wins over the Gladiators!

CARD 1137 – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS:
Blazing Skull burned Archon in a Lava Pit match. Archon braves this hardcore match. He’s not going to pelt rocks or do anything that goes against his morals. However to beat Blazing Skull in a match like this would be impressive. In his words “Lorelei and I don’t see to eye to eye on some things. Wrestling in this kind of place doesn’t come naturally to me but I aim to show her that matches can be won without resorting to foul play”. Blazing isn’t shy about voicing his intent “Archon will regret signing this match. He will either be burned beyond recognition or thrown to the primitives”. When they finally got into the pit it looked as if Archon would win easily. Such levels of domination as he punished Blazing with all his submission move finishers several times over. He just couldn’t quite get out the pit. Eventually one of the escape attempts left him hurt as he fell back right onto some scorchingly hot ashes. Blazing pounced on Archon’s misfortune and a few moves later unleashed DEATH BY FIRE (+3). This led to his successful escape. Considering the threats issued earlier it was surprising that Blazing performed the tamer version of his deadly move. The threat of suspension might just of been a factor. Plus if he put Archon on the shelf for a prolonged period it deprives him of the chance to beat him again.
Wolf goes over Anarchy by DQ. Time to put this feud back in the spotlight. Even though Wolf is loosening ties with the Centaurians he finds Anarchy a satisfying feud enemy. In a strange way he is glad his recent hold on the Heavyweight belt was short lived. It proved to be a distraction. Also being a champion comes with certain responsibilities which is something Wolf does not want. The action fittingly begins outside the ring as Anarchy attacks Wolf who was in turn attacking Maleph. The winged demon being a menace as always. This spot almost gave Anarchy an immediate victory. He rolled Wolf into the ring and went for CRUCIFIX DROP straight away. The ref was suitably distracted. However we have gotten used to Wolf over the years surviving the unsurvivable. He kicks out and musters a comeback. Alas Maleph was in one of those moods where he was never going to let things flow. The moment Wolf went outside again he swooped at him. Trying to gouge his eyes out. Wolf held him off and better still took the win by DQ. The latest outcome leaves this feud on a cliffhanger. Surely a rematch beckons at the next supercard.
Painmaster defeated Max Shield. These two continue to play supporting roles in the ROC-Colonizer feud. Suffice to say Max is more comfortable with it than Painmaster. No matter their status it’s still a cool feud and both do their best to get the win. Max worked his socks off but gets no change out of Painmaster. It just wasn’t going to be his night. Even his defensive shields were failing him. Painmaster kept the control and came out on top after making Max submit to THE TORTURE RACK. It was a painful defeat for Max to take. After years of underperforming in Dimension K he thought being here on Centra might give him a new lease of life. Sadly it seems to be the same old story.
Lance At-Las sees off the ailing Dreadnaught. Although Commando Sam will say otherwise it’s clear Lance is no longer a valued member of the FDF. Sam only keeps him around due to their long history of working together and friendship. Lance doesn’t mind. He is a free spirit and not wrestling too many matches gives him plenty of chances to explore Centra. However tonight he is back in the ring to face an old comrade and enemy in Dreadnaught. Bizarrely Dreadnaught is glugging on some kind of high energy drink. He consumes every last drop and then does a ridiculous flex as if to say ‘I’m energised and ready’. Maybe it did have a galvanising effect as Dreadnaught was very much in the contest. For a few minutes at least. Its effects, if any, wore off quite quickly though. Lance began to look very comfortable and managed to end it with a nice flying head scissors move. Thankfully Dreadnaught picked himself up. Looked forlorn but at least he lives to fight another day.
Animen Invasion stunner Transformer again. Has proven to be a good undercard tag feud. Perhaps this will be the blow off. Notably Detective Quidun was walking around at ringside. He’s watching Doomsayer and the Animen very closely it seems. Doomsayer takes exception “haven’t you got more important matters to attend to? I heard a kid at Centra High had their lunch money stolen”. Quidun ignores him. Just folds his arms and watches the match unfold whilst leaning on the crowd barrier. He witnesses a massive shock. Well maybe not as this is the second time Animen Invasion have done this to Transformer. They were very fortunate though. Antak should have been finished twice. First time he was locked in Monad’s SURFBOARD SUBMISSION only for Son of Ram to storm the ring and trigger a brawl. Later he was caught in Nth Degree’s PIN USING ROPES. Again Son of Ram entered. This time Monad tried to reach him earlier only for the ref to get in the way. As Monad was ushered back to the corner Son of Ram bombed Nth Degree right on his back and reversed the pin position. A snake eyes roll came next and with that Transformer had slumped to another humiliation.
Spike demolished Sir Ender in just 2 moves. Poor Sir Ender. The Gladiators are really angry after their ONLY THE BEST misfire and taking it out on him. He had only got as far as the ring apron when Spike was grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and pulling him over the top rope and into the ring. Sir Ender tried to hurriedly scramble towards a corner only for Spike to now grab his legs and pull him back. It’s at this point the bell range. In a swift motion Spike picks Sir Ender and plants him back on the mat with a big choke slam. Then nails him with an Atomic Spike which leads to the pin. Omens are not good for Sir Ender. He still has the Gladiators queuing up to face him as their sparring partner of choice. Malice still to come later this month.

CARD 1138 – RUINS OF ANTILIA:
Bloodline beats Pegasus in an epic Ruins of Antilia match. Pegasus may of finally cracked OTB but he’s not resting on his laurels. He now wants to be Heavyweight champion again and shows there is life in the old dog yet. Would almost certainly be getting a title shot if not for Genocide being the sitting champion. Beating Bloodline in a match like this might make it impossible for Commissioner Morpheus to hold him back. Bloodline is very motivated to derail him though. He is impatient to become a superstar and this is potentially a massive scalp. Was quite the rollercoaster of a match as it turns out. Pegasus dominant initially and showing no desire to get among the ruins. However he fails to finish Bloodline even after PROJECT PEGASUS. This becomes the theme for him as he just doesn’t manage to kill things off. Bloodline had an astonishing 14 tokens by the end and still won. Bloodline was more than up for fighting among the ruins and Pegasus couldn’t keep him in the ring. Most of the match was now fought outside and that’s where the fatigue racked up. Mostly on the side of Bloodline. There were some dramatic spots that including dunkings in the creek and even a couple of controversial appearances by the Code Enforcers who gave Bloodline some extra beatings. Pegasus wasn’t immune himself to being acquainted with stone walls and floors though. Finally the action found its way back to the ring for an extended period. In a thrilling finale Bloodline tossed Pegasus into the ropes. The pair collided with a double clothesline from which Bloodline, despite all he’d been through, managed to recover first. He scrambled over to the groggy Pegasus and slapped on CETUS MASTERLOCK. Pegasus couldn’t break free and valued his legs more than victory. He tapped out after about 30 seconds to give Bloodline the major scalp he craved. Pegasus later admitted signing this match type to be a mistake “I should have insisted on regular rules, these special matches can throw curveballs”.
Titan Attack win a thriller over the Clones. This was booked a while back but now reservations after their clash at ONLY THE BEST. Was a snooze fest. Surely this would be much better. Of course the Clones cannot let anything pass without some weirdness. Playing on the dullness of their last match they come into the ring dressed as librarians and carrying books. A more accurate description would be carrying weapons. Anyway this was like night and day compared to the last meeting. So much excitement. Titans made a dazzling start with Scion softening Defender up with THE RISE AND FALL and FLYING TITAN. Unfortunately Ursa Major couldn’t quite clean up despite SHOTGUN CRADLE a couple of times. The Clones came right back into it and the match went to and fro. That was until Jester got the upper hand against Scion. He hit A DEAD MAN’S VERSE which Scion just about kicked out of it. Then did the move again straight after. Ursa Major thought sod it and dropped a leg over Jester as he was covering whilst the ref dealt with Defender. He then picked up a heavy duty book that was laying on the apron and smashed it over Jester’s head. This reverses the pin and Scion got the three. Bit unlike the Titans to win in such a way. Though can be justified as Jester probably should have been disqualified for that despicable illegal move anyway. Seems a shame that Titan Attack is still being kept out the tag title picture yet their opponents tonight move onto a title shot next week. Lord Nexus refuses to get frustrated and says of it “I understand the Commissioner’s stance. Besides we don’t need belts to make us feel good about ourselves. Our time will come”.
Supernova shows superiority over Thrash. Two legends of the women’s division face off for the right to challenge Sniper next week. Both determined to bring this upstart who is embarrassing everyone down. Controlled aggression very much in evidence from Supernova. She knows that to hang with Thrash you need to be ready for a ruck. Just doesn’t want to risk blowing things with a silly DQ. Especially with the carrot of a title shot being dangled for the winner. Same cannot be said of Thrash. It’s in the nature of any Aethran male or female to wrestle any match as it is a war. The handbrake is never on. Supernova was much quicker to the draw and started in dominant fashion. Thrash, as expected, tried to turn the tide by going outside and instigating a brawl. She gets a big surprise as Supernova leaps over the top rope with a cross body and then plants her head hard into the ring apron. Back in the ring Supernova maintains a high intensity that Thrash simply can’t cope with. She gets the pin after a Cetus Slam and now progresses to a title shot. Supernova is determined to deliver “it’s been a long time since I held the belt. Fair play to Sniper but it’s time for a change as she’s making us other girls look bad”.
Theatre of Pain defeated Disorder X. Theatre of Pain don’t really identify as either hero or villain here on Centra. They are keen to face either. Although in their feud with the Clones they have been labelled as the hero team. It happens again here as everyone would rather see them prevail rather than Disorder X. The hatred towards Disorder X is fuelled by their being part of Team CPC but mainly because of Grunge’s abominable behaviour in recent times towards Nora Pelf. They don’t have the luxury of Thantos managing them tonight. He is very hit and miss on ring appearances with them. His priority is more on the singles guys and just currently sees having a tag team as part of Team CPC a necessary presence in the division. There are no grumblings of discontent from Mace and Grunge though. They are just about tolerating one another and do not care too much how Thantos perceives them. Their problems come to the fore here. Having made a solid start Grunge set about striking Tragedy with Total Disorder. However Mace hadn’t got a proper grip before Grunge propelled himself towards them. Tragedy was able wriggle get free and Mace took the full impact of the dropkick. As he staggered backwards he then hit his head on the ring post. Grunge didn’t have time to check on his partner as Theatre of Pain was then upon him. When Mace stopped seeing stars he felt the bump on his head and then kicked a ring post in anger causing a leg injury to himself. After that he limped off with the massive hump leaving Grunge to fend for himself. Grunge didn’t last long on his own and after having SHAKESPEARE performed on him was pinned. Can’t see Disorder X lasting much longer as a team. Especially after this. It’s not an isolated incident as has been happening on dark shows too and even led to fisticuffs backstage according to a credible witness.
Taechon overcame Maxine Babe. Even after all these months Taechon is receiving cruel taunts about their gender. Good job he/she is thick skinned. Maxine Babe is one of the worst offenders. Every now and then she cannot resist poking fun at Taechon on social media. Nora Pelf has offered Taechon a hand of friendship. She knows what it is like to be bullied and feels for her. For now Taechon focuses on punishing Maxine as best they can. Didn’t go too well at the start though. Maxine pulverised Taechon after a despicable move before the bell where she planted a stiletto right in the unmentionables and shouted “if you are female then this won’t hurt quite as much as it could do”. Taechon suffered in the aftermath of that and it was amazing that they didn’t lose despite numerous pin attempts. One of those coming after DUDE’S CHOICE (assisted by one of Maxine’s model friends). Taechon came through it all and eventually woke up to build steady offence. Enjoying the positivity of the crowd Taechon ended up winning the bout with CONTACT POINT.
Meteor over Mutant by DQ. Meteor still grinding away at his wresting career. His allegiance with the Titans hadn’t bore much fruit yet. Has mainly been working the dark shows. Tonight a rare appearance on TV. Brings slightly more joy as gets the DQ win as Mutant (the Terrorists were absent) starts getting too wild. It took some bringing under control. Replays suggest that it got spooked by something in the crowd. Meteor was upbeat even though he’d not had to earn the victory and says “every loss I take is a lesson, I am learning all the time and tonight showed I am heading in the right direction”. That’s a hell of a lot lessons but I guess let him have his moment.

CARD 1139 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Big show tonight as the GWFC really pushes the boat out. Three of the belts being defended. The Heavyweight belt match is being saved for next week’s WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARRIORS. Also next week details of the next big supercard THE MEGA SHOW goes live. Commissioner Morpheus promises a special matches feast.
Tag champs, Twin Blood, keep belts by beating the Clones by DQ. Not a match passes for the Clones without them acting all weird and doing daft things. Tonight they are wearing comedy glasses and holding mirrors up in front of each other before collapsing in fits of laughter. The fed up Dreggs summons Mad Jester who obliges by cartwheeling towards him. Dreggs meets him with a meaty clothesline. Jester struggles to recover only for his grogginess to turn to rage. Points at Dreggs and tells him “you broke my glasses”. Then proceeds to rub his boots together to sharpen the almost concealed blades contained within. Dreggs is determined not to get sliced with those and continues on the offensive. Sleeze then got tagged in and almost dropped the ball as he gets into a bit of bother up against Defender of the Realm. Dreggs and Johnny Rocket show faith in him to kick out of the few pin attempts that happen. Was good restraint as Sleeze does just that and then gets a hot tag. Dreggs is all guns blazing again and has quite the grapple with Mad Jester. That was until Dreggs cleverly sucked Jester into going outside with him. He made sure he was stood close to the ring post knowing full well Jester would throw him into it. The ref, a known stickler, has no tolerance for it and disqualified Jester straight away. Some post match afters sees Twin Blood in perfect harmony to put both Clones on the deck via an array of double team moves. Then in a crowd pleasing moment they stamp on the glasses that had been worn earlier as if to say ‘how dare you turn our title match into a joke’. Twin Blood’s long reign with the tag belts reaches 36 cards and now part of the top ten of all time in terms of length. I have a feeling they are not done climbing that list.
Centra champ, Code Enforcer Manslaughter, overcomes Tortured Soul by DQ. Different test for Manslaughter here. One he might not of been expecting as Tortured Soul is named surprise top contender to the Centra belt. Made possible by a big win over Blade and some good form at dark shows. Its undead nature and zombie-like tolerance for pain make it a tough nut to crack. Manslaughter embraces the challenge. Usually he’d be odds on favourite. However Commando Sam has a fever and is missing from ringside leaving Maleph free to wreak havoc. Maleph certainly does that. Manslaughter was really probing Tortured Soul’s pain threshold with his repertoire of moves. Looking ready to complete a routine win as he went for HEADS WILL ROLL. Of course Maleph wasn’t going to let him have it that easy and flew into the ring making horrendous wailing sounds. Maybe if Sam was there he’d of either dealt with Maleph or told Manslaughter to ignore it. Instead Manslaughter didn’t go for the pin and tried to get at Maleph. Behind him Tortured Soul rises like the undead as he eerily sits up. Coming up behind and smashing into the back of Manslaughter with a boney forearm. The champ crashes face down and looks in trouble. He crawls under the rope and falls out of the ring. Problem with Maleph is that he values disorder over any shiny belt. A disqualification loss is seen as a victory by Brymstonians. So he started attacking Manslaughter and trying to tear shreds out of his back. With great strength Manslaughter pushed him off. When the bombardment continued and Tortured Soul climbed outside too, stalking like a zombie, there was no alternative. Manslaughter armed himself with a chair and laid them both out. It was either that or become victim to a possible unpleasant attack.
Ladies champ, Sniper, beats Supernova again. Sniper’s unbelievable form this year is making her a contender for wrestler of the year. She could be the first women to win the award if she manages to stay as the champion for the entire year. She’s actually already held the belt for more than a year having won it during 2109. Supernova is determined to end the reign. After all it’s her record that Sniper is chasing. Sadly she comes up short as once again Sniper is quite simply irresistible. Just gung ho from the start and putting Supernova under pressure with her finisher and various pin attempts. An accidental ref bump probably helped prolong the match. In fact Supernova was able to muster some offence during this period. It didn’t last too long though as Sniper seemed to be just recharging. In fact it was a complete shut out. Defensive wrestling of the highest order. Then when she was ready to go again exploded with another big offensive wave that culminated in her almost taking Supernova’s head off with a Hitwomen’s Clothesline. So that’s brought her belt run to 54 cards. If she can keep it for 10 more then the record is hers. Supernova admitted afterwards “I didn’t expect anyone to ever get close to my record let alone break it. If she does manage to do it I’ll be among the first to congratulate her. She’s an incredible talent”.
Vengeance bloodied Lance At-Las. Spoke too soon. Lance is suddenly called into action by Commando Sam for an important assignment. Facing Vengeance is a pretty big deal. Lance cuts short a planned camping trip to Antilia to be here. Vengeance grins on coming face to face with him “you should of stayed retired old man”. It doesn’t look great for Lance as shortly after making the assignment Sam fell ill and as a result isn’t able to be at ringside for any FDF matches tonight. At least Brute had stayed away though. He and Vengeance aren’t bosom buddies. Fears that Lance might get blown away are allayed though. Even though he loses and is bloody at the end he can walk away with pride. He ran Vengeance pretty close. Ultimately a second HELTER SKELTER was too much to take. Vengeance will now be expecting to replace Thunder as the primary singles wrestler of the Gladiators. It’s hard to argue against with Thunder misfiring so much.
Enigma and Skinhead over Bloodline and Prodigy by DQ. Lots of passion in this one. Both Prodigy and Bloodline are trying to prove themselves to Thantos as they aim to be his top guy. With Terminus stumbling of late there’s a good chance of one of them getting the bigger push. Bloodline is in a particularly good position having just upset Pegasus. On the other side Skinhead is riding a wave of popularity and of course he always enjoys beating on Prodigy. Throw in Enigma who is trying to get back to the heights of earlier this year and realise his full potential and we have a pretty hot match. It becomes a showcase for some quite sublime moves. Prodigy and Enigma particularly spectacular in almost everything they do. Bloodline then shows his confidence by bossing Enigma. He was able to hit him with BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG twice. For a variety of reasons he couldn’t put him away though. The longer things went the more temperatures rise. Things then get really heated as Thantos decides to punish Skinhead for coming too near him with Satanic Skull Smasher. After this everyone piles in. Even Johnny Rocket. The ref has great difficulty separating them so his decision can be announced. It goes quiet long enough to learn Skinhead and Enigma were victors by DQ and then everyone just starts brawling again.
Malice crushed Sir Ender in a handful of moves. Sir Ender is struggling to take these relentless Gladiator beatings. Tries to show confidence by facing up to Malice in a death stare but we could all see that he was trembling. Malice wastes little time and immediately batters him. Even when Sir Ender begs off he shows no mercy. A few moves later he ends it with FIELDS OF MALICE. Things got worse for Sir Ender as Vengeance, who was sore about losing to him by DQ last month, entered the ring to give him an extra beating. As Sir Ender was carried away on a stretcher he was still delusional about his ties to the Gladiators and could be heard whispering “thank you”.

CARD 1140 – WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARRIORS – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
This might just be the most hardcore card the GWFC has booked so far with 2 of the most dangerous possible matches dominating the show. Although this is rumoured to be a mere taster of what is to come at the jam packed MEGA SHOW next month which is the next supercard.
Heavyweight champ, Genocide, goes over Mandrill again by DQ. Normally title shots are a reward for winning ONLY THE BEST only Commissioner Morpheus is still not booking title matches between heroes. Mandrill cannot believe his luck. Another stab at Genocide comes his way. This time he vows to get it right. He makes sure to arrive first and stares down the runway at the curtain. Hoping Buck Steele rather than Genocide emerges. Of course that rarely happens these days and Genocide bursts through the curtain. On seeing this Mandrill gives Sentry a knowing glance. Just what were they hatching? Genocide tosses the belt on the runway and hits the ring at breakneck speed. Is immediately obvious that Mandrill isn’t going to be able to live with him as he’s tossed around the ring. Sentry lets it pass for a few minutes before climbing the ring steps to enter the ring. The mere fact that he’s stepped in holding up his stun gun in a threatening manner is enough to convince the ref to issue the DQ. Now the fun begins. A roll of doubles and I decided that I’d use the old feud chart for from the first ringside companion for once. Genocide doesn’t wait to see what Sentry might do. He rips off all the turnbuckle pads and sets about smashing Sentry into all of them. Sentry just stands frozen with fear. Genocide removes the stun gun from his grip and blasts Sentry with it from point blank range. All the while Mandrill has grabbed a chair and sneaks up behind Genocide. Before the paralysed Sentry can be tossed into the first turnbuckle Mandrill has brought the chair down across the back of Genocide’s head. Genocide goes down on one knee. Another strike seconds later puts him down on the deck. Mandrill then grabs the stun gun and gives Genocide a taste of his own medicine by blasting him too. Now followed several minutes of Mandrill beating on Genocide with more chair shots and also using his COLONIZER CLAW SLAM many times over. The attack only ends because of Corporal Aegis leading a cavalry charge with the SWAT Team. It was too late though as the damage was done. The beating was so bad that Genocide had actually shrunk in size back to Buck Steele such was the body shock. He is loaded onto a stretcher with Aegis directing operations. Amid the carnage the Heavyweight belt was nearly left behind until Aegis remembers to grab it. He gave it a longing gaze before gently placing it onto Buck who somehow mustered enough strength to hold it into his chest. Hopefully not for the last time.
Mayhem destroyed Code Enforcer Euritar in a Four Weapons of Destruction match. Euritar is not to be outdone by Manslaughter. He may have a style focused on agility and speed but that doesn’t mean he cannot do hardcore. Mayhem would be looking to make him regret that though. I seem to say this a lot nowadays but he is another angry Gladiator. Losing on Centra much more than he is winning (3-6 record on televised shows). The smorgasbord of weapons means penalties for losing in a match like this are tough and almost certain injury awaits. On entering the ring Mayhem has cheered up significantly and looks like a kid in a sweet shop. Loving the fact all these weapons are so close to hand. Although he’d be happy if he had to fight with just sticks and stones. Anyway it becomes a disaster for Euritar. He doesn’t get a go with a single weapon. Instead Mayhem is all over them and simply destroying Euritar. In the midst he also hit a near perfect LEAP OF DOOM. By the end Mayhem did not have a single accumulated token. That’s how one-sided it was. Euritar finally collapses after taking a Mayhem Manslaughter and is then loaded onto a stretcher. As mentioned previously injury for the losing wrestler is inevitable. Euritar got off pretty lightly as it rolled out as 2 cards. His injuries classed a mainly superficial. Mayhem’s win completes a strong night for the Gladiators and hints that maybe they’ve finally woken up here on Centra.
Skinhead raises the roof as he beats Terminus in Circinus Cell match. What a transformation it’s been for Skinhead. Now he walks into the Circinus Cell for a major match. Some even suggest he is now more important to the Rocket Men than Paragon. He takes on Terminus who, since dropping the Heavyweight belt, has been on a downward spiral. So much so that Thantos is thinking of moving Bloodline into the picture for the main belt and sending Terminus to chase the Centra belt. Terminus has a chance to delay, or better yet, change his mind by winning big here. He ends up doing himself no favours though. Skinhead was supremely confident and in the face of his intensity Terminus wilted. It didn’t take too long for the action to reach the top of the cage whereupon Skinhead executed a power bomb. The impact broke the roof and Terminus fell 15 feet. He was badly injured as a result. Skinhead carefully climbed back down into the cage and within a few more moves finished things off via Skinhead’s Sleeper. The aftermath revealed Terminus to be injured for 4 cards. Last thing he needs as is about to enter into an intense match programme against Paragon next month.
Thunder finally gets a break as he beats Rising Sun. Every Gladiator is under the spotlight this month. Perhaps none more so than Thunder. Assumed to be their next big star. However he has had a year to forget so far. Has a 4-8 record this year. Three of those wins came in the Centra belt tournament in the opening month so it gives an idea of how badly things have gone since. Rising Sun on the other hand has been the subject of so many superlatives. Reaching the final of OTB is something he could never of imagined. The match happens at a blistering pace. It looks like it might be same old story for Thunder as despite all his intensity and apparent domination he can’t get the match won. His finisher and many devastating moves lead to pin attempts only for Rising to produce miraculous kick outs. There was also a couple of close count-outs. Every now and then Rising threatened a comeback only to be pegged back. To be fair to Thunder he kept at it and a second go with THE TEMPEST finally got the pin. Given Rising’s high standing in the fed at the moment this is a big win for Thunder and one that will catapult his ranking.
Malice and Overkill look unconvincing as they beat the SWAT Team by DQ. Both teams in need of a pickup after disappointment at OTB. This represents a huge test for the SWAT Team. If they thought facing Rebel Empire was tough then this is another level. Trisis was on commentary rooting for them and suggests “sounds insane but maybe they should go after Overkill. He’s the weak spot as he’s the one getting pinned”. Dragonmaster responds “not much gets past you. I agree he’s been struggling. Perhaps Thunder and Overkill should reform their legendary tag team because they are both struggling”. The SWAT Team consider it a great honour to be in the ring with the Gladiators and even offer handshakes. Unsurprisingly spurned. They would of probably got their hands crushed anyway. When the match then begins it soon becomes very clear that the SWAT Team are far from out their depth. Warfare stands up to Overkill’s power very well and generally gets the better of their grappling. In fact he initiated TRENCH WARFARE to put Overkill in real peril. Needs to produce a powerful kick out to avoid the loss. After that it’s very much a case of both teams cancelling each other out. In fact it’s all very laboured until Warfare caused his team to be disqualified for needlessly trying to get at Brute outside the ring. The Gladiators may of won but they still looked very unconvincing. This new tag team is not gelling. Overkill, in particular, is looking very stale and in desperate need of a cleansing.
Desolation Factor over Lethal Lottery by DQ. Splatter and Vyper are back and ready to create more carnage. Even though their lottery attack backfired last time they promise to pick new winners very soon. This would be intense. Desolation Factor, much like the Gladiators, are angry at being made to look bad due to recent alarming losses. It was pretty feisty outside the ring too. Commando Sam is determined to prevent the Terrorists from doing their thing and giving little respite. They’d already left their mark on the Soulwatcher earlier in the card. Sam needed to be careful though as he was outnumbered and Desolation Factor might not be able to easily help him. In the end it was a pretty poor contest. Splatter made the first moves only to be quickly overpowered by Rack. Barely a couple minutes passed and Splatter left the ring. He returns with Arsenal in his hands and just starts swinging wildly at anything that moves. Lots of air shots. On taking a particularly large back swing Ruin was able dive onto him and smother. The Terrorists now enter and attempt to whip Ruin across the back. This brings everyone else in and it’s just a wild brawl that took several minutes to die down. Blood was spilled on both sides. Hopefully no lasting injuries though.
Mike Fortune pinned US. Traitor. Cygnus Strikeforce has the edge on 3rd Planet at the moment. Mike Fortune is convinced that Tough Guy is to blame so by facing US. Traitor alone things will be different. Fortune has zero tolerance for Traitor’s waving of the Cygnus flag. Storming straight in to rip it up. Before Traitor can even react Fortune shouts “now get your laughing gear round this” and punches him in the mouth. It was the sort of blow that can knock teeth out. Traitor gets a grilling from Mangus who orders that he pull himself together and fight like a true Cygnusian. Traitor responds and is able to dominate for quite a while. However it all changes after a pin attempt following TURNCOAT FLYER. Krakan makes a significant interference that allows Fortune to attack Traitor from behind. The blow to the back of the head rendered Traitor badly hurt and it was only a matter of time. Mangus bought Traitor some extra recovery after he was subjected to THE HANGMAN but it didn’t elicit much in the way of a comeback. Fortune stayed on offence and soon got the pin via a 6:00 suplex. It’s a win that gives the Hitmen a little bit if traction in this 3 way feud.
The Soulwatcher beats Draconian Sheik by DQ. I love it when spontaneous feuds pop up just like this one. So far the Soulwatcher is more than holding his own against Drac. However maybe after tonight he’ll want to consider getting out of this feud for his own safety. He may of won but he got pretty carved up again by Drac’s infamous sharp object. Then also took a violent attack from the Terrorists.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2110 CARDS 1137 – 1140)
Champions
* GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Vacant (Top Contender: n/a) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: Cygnus Strikeforce/Animen Invasion) * GWFC Centra Champ: Code Enforcer Manslaughter (Top Contender: Painmaster) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Sniper (Top Contender: Serpentine)
Latest News:
Huge news as Mandrill hatches a plan to severely injure Genocide. Knowing he couldn’t pin him this was the next best thing. As per GWFC rules if a champion cannot defend their belt once in one calendar month then the title must be vacated. Even injury is not a valid excuse. Doctors are refusing to sign off Genocide to wrestle with the head and chest injuries sustained and insist on a recuperation period of one month. Genocide needed some calming down after learning of this. There is nothing more that can be done. So there it is. The belt is up for grabs. Read further down on how Commissioner Morpheus plans to fill the vacancy. There was uproar when Morpheus then announced there would be no suspension for Mandrill. He cited Genocide as being equally responsible for what happened. Stating that he could easily of suspended Genocide, Sentry, Corporal Aegis and the SWAT Team too. However he saw no value in depriving the crowds of so many GWFC stars. Always looking for opportune moments to stir things up Mandrill breaks silence after the attack to suggest Aegis purposely allowed Genocide to get injured “took your time getting to the ring. You wanted us to injure Genocide so you can get your dirty hands on that belt”.
Corporal Aegis has stepped down from his role as leader of the military. It’s a logistical nightmare trying to do this and wrestle full time. Aegis announces “at the moment I am wearing a lot of hats and I can control Centra’s biggest threat, who are the Colonizers, better in the ring. Rest assured if a hostile threat ever emerges that requires the might of the military I will return to my role in a heartbeat”. Understandably many Centran people are nervous about this. The rumours about the Ravager race persist and many fear them more than they do the Colonizers.
Scientists are picking up some strange seismic activity on Antilia. Their advice to the GWFC is to steer clear of the place for the foreseeable future. Commissioner Morpheus has heeded the advise and cancelled shows from taking place there. So the GWFC roadshow is now currently confined to 3 venues. Little tidbit here for the coming of something big.
Good to see Nora Pelf triggering a friendship with Taechon. The spoilt rich girl antics that had threatened to surface again early in the year have faded away. Taechon is understandably wary having been very much alone for so long. Nora suggests they could team together to face the Hellions. Could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
Dreadnaught continues to cause concern. He is obsessed with a controversial new high energy drink called TURBO that he’s purchased by the crate on the black market. It has been linked with several deaths among sports stars in Centra within the last 18 months and is considered risky. Much like the Transevolver it seems the risks far outweigh the benefits. Dreadnaught won’t listen to medical advice and will do anything to keep going inside the ring. Obviously certain wrestlers won’t touch Dreadnaught with a barge pole as they don’t want to be the ones that could be associated with his death in the ring. It could very well happen. So Dreadnaught really has to take any match he can get these days.
Sir Ender is still delusional. He thinks all the brutal treatment he is receiving from the Gladiators is part of a big test that will ultimately see him ascend to their team. The batterings being kind of a ‘no pain no gain’ thing. He went so far as to whisper “thank you” to Vengeance having been put on a stretcher by him. Perhaps his suffering will now be at an end. The Gladiators may have finally tired of toying with him as there is only one more match booked against him in the near future. A very dangerous one as it’s against Mayhem who is fresh off destroying Code Enforcer Euritar. If Mayhem can do that to Euritar then what chance does Sir Ender have?
Bloodline’s stock is rising after a brilliant victory on Antilia over Pegasus. Despite taking incredible punishment and even an intrusion from the Code Enforcers he pulled it out the bag. Will Thantos now let him off the leash to pursue the Heavyweight belt or is he still seen as too early in his development cycle and a better fit for the Centra belt? Only time will tell but the hand of Thantos might just get forced if Terminus continues to misfire. He lost again on the last card to Skinhead in a Circinus Cell match. Terminus has been given a big chance to prove his worth to Thantos though. His feud with Paragon gets massive exposure next month. They will face each other 4 times culminating in a big cage match at the end. He will be handicapped though as his fall through the top of cage left him with a moderate injury. Ironically Paragon is in a similar boat to Terminus with Skinhead coming out of nowhere to threaten him as the favoured guy on the Rocket Men. Although Johnny Rocket spins the line of “I have no favourites apart from my lovely Nora, my team members are like children to me and they all get equal billing”.
Lance At-Las has requested a temporary leave of absence from the FDF. It’s so he can indulge his first love which is exploring. This new place of Centra offers too much temptation. Lance says “I will return to duty soon. I just don’t want to miss the opportunity to see new things. Who knows how long we will be here. We could be gone tomorrow. Although no matter what I see I am confident nothing can beat a good old Martian sunset”.
Main matches booked for the next big show which is THE MEGA SHOW. It’s proper souped up with loads of special matches as expected. Here’s some of what’s planned … As we all know the Heavyweight belt is held up. Commissioner Morpheus plans to address this in the main event. As we all know he is keen to keep title matches between heroes and villains so chooses the challengers very carefully. He’s worried about the belt falling into the wrong hands. After much deliberation he decides to take what he believes are the 10 best wrestlers currently in the fed and put them into a Battle Royal (5 heroes and 5 villains). Morpheus stated “whilst rankings are a big factor I am also taking into account guys with big personalities as nobody wants a boring champion. Also guys who have already signed matches for the event will be ineligible. They must honour their matches. It’s bad luck for some of them”. So with all that said here are the names trotted out Corporal Aegis, Mandrill, Pegasus, Thunder, Vengeance, Skinhead, Bloodline, Archon, Blazing Skull and Max Shield. Will the two Gladiators put their rivalry to one side and work together? The ROC also has two guys involved which seems fair considering they had the title before all this drama … With the Wolf-Anarchy feud back in full flow it’s no surprise they will meet. Inside the Torture Chamber no less. The brutality of such a match means it doesn’t happen often. Makes it pretty special when it does. Am not 100% but I think it’ll be the first time Centra fans have seen such a match … A huge 3 Way Battlezone match pitting the Terrorists, Fighting Titans and Hitmen against each other. That will be huge and if the Titans triumph will really put the icing on what has been a very strong year for the whole team … As mentioned further up Nora Pelf and Taechon have befriended each other. Their friendship will be put to the test as they team up to face the Hellions. Hopefully they can cause an upset but if the Hellions can beat a superstar team like Amazonia and Supernova at GALACTICON there isn’t much hope. You never know though … Also mentioned previously Paragon and Terminus meet in a cage match with both desperately trying to show their respective managers they are still the number one guys on each team. Naturally both are pretty ticked off that this was signed literally hours before the big announcement of Morpheus meaning they miss out on the chance to compete in the Battle Royal main event. I am sure the winner of this match will be given a high consideration when deciding who will be the first challenger to the new champion. Unfortunately the odds will be stacked against Terminus as he picked up an injury shortly after signing this match … Hold onto your hats as the Theatre of Pain-Clones feud is thrust back onto your screens due to fan demand. Best give up trying to work this lot out as it will frazzle your brain. Just sit back and enjoy the show. The fans seem to have a soft spot for Theatre of Pain so will probably be banging the drum for them. Regular match rules at the moment but this is just crying out for a special match garnish so that could well be added … For the early birds among the crowd there will be a couple of dark matches which will give some of the lesser lights in the fed a chance to perform. Let’s hope they suitably warm the crowd and don’t prove to be mood killers.
INJURED – Code Enforcer Euritar (2), Genocide (4), Terminus (4); SUSPENDED – none
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
BLOODLINE - He’s put himself on the map with that win against Pegasus. Not only a major win but also a classic encounter. Possibly the best we’ve seen since wrestling came to this dimension. Now by virtue of a bit of luck he has a chance to go a step further and win the Heavyweight belt as he was announced to be part of the Battle Royal to fill the vacancy. Bloodline believes he has the experience to be the champion and brags “Ready? I was born ready”.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
ANIMEN INVASION - Had to give it to someone other than Twin Blood. This doesn’t mean Animen Invasion are suddenly world beaters. They are still pretty hopeless. However they are upsetting the apple cart and causing many teams embarrassment. The Gladiators, Desolation Factor and Transformer have all struggled against them. Happened again this month as they posted a shock win over Transformer which was very newsworthy.
