CARD 929 – CHARON ICE CASTLE:
Ladies champ, Thrash, has too much for Velar. Big month for Velar. She could quite easily win the GWF belt but lose the CPC one. Wonder which one she prefers? Of course Thrash is very protective of her title. Finally she has built the aura of invincibility expected of her ever since arriving back in the Civil War period. Had been second best to Amazonia and Supernova for a long time but now very clearly the top female. Lively start from Velar though. Possibly hinting at an upset. But Thrash then starts to overpower her. Although there were fleeting offensive flurries from Velar she was accumulating tokens. Up to 4 by the time Thrash put FEMME FATAL on her for the second time. No recovering from that.
X-Termination grab a tainted win over Hunter’s Moon. Huge cheer greets the return of the Savage Kingdom wrestlers. Johnny Rocket is pleased as in his words “X-Termination could do with the practice against a couple of undercard bums”. But they only just win after a huge helping hand from him. After early domination where Vyper took KILLER AIR GUITAR and METALHEAD MAULER we saw a stirring comeback from Wildcat. With his WILDCAT STRIKE he puts Vyper on the cusp of victory against Sleeze. The crowd call for it and Vyper responds as he performs VYPER’S SIDESHOW. But as he tries the cover Johnny tosses in the mic allowing Grunge to smash it over Vyper’s head and reverse the pin. The ref, Wildcat and Terak missed it all because Johnny then faked a collapsing incident to divert attention. As soon as the dastardly deed was done he miraculously recovered.
Heracles is vastly superior to Powerhouse. Some animosity exists from the Stormtroopers towards Chaos and Heracles. They were dropped like a bad habit and made scapegoat for the past failure of the team. Powerhouse showed pretty much why with a laboured effort. He absorbed OLYMPIA a couple of times but then ran heavily into a turnbuckle. In a surprise moment of agility Heracles takes him down on the rebound with a schoolboy and pins him. They carried on brawling for a bit afterwards. Poor ref tried to break it apart but gets battered between the two behemoths like a ping pong ball. Needed security to wade in.
Enigma squashed Talon. Enigma in a teasing mood. He pokes fun at Talon’s past Eagle persona whilst also getting a cheapshot in on the Titans “guess it was hard to continue being an Eagle when you are surrounded by Turkeys”. Enigma then annihilated him with a win in just 5 moves. Amazingly it was his third FEET OF FURY in that short time that won it. Talon admits it had been too easy and challenges Assassin Air Raid immediately in the aftermath on behalf of the Titan Gliders to a Fed Exile match. Is accepted pretty quick and becomes the first match booked for GALACTICON 20. Duration of exile as yet undetermined but thought to be 10 to 20 cards.
The Centaurians go over Lower World by DQ. The Brymstonians take to the ring minus their recently lost tag belts. Not they care too much. Anyway it wasn’t much of a match. A few minutes in and Maleph decides to try and take Talisman’s eye out on the outside. Talisman grabbed a chair and managed to beat Maleph off. This triggered a four way brawl. When the dust settled the Centaurians were awarded the victory.
Amazonia destroyed Maxine Babe. Over in just 4 moves via AMAZON ATTACK. Maxine had wound Amazonia up with her provocative dancing for the male fans. She quickly paid the price.

CARD 930 - POLARIS INTERSTELLAR STADIUM:
One of the famous GWF venues but it could do with a lick of paint. Every venue compared to Pelf Palace looks a bit pathetic. But there is very little money to invest. The fed hopes the quality of matches more than makes up for it but there are fans defecting. Not too many but they argue that the CPC brand and its shows are becoming superior.
Heavyweight champ, Chaos, never really in trouble against Jack of Diamonds. A huge shock for Jack. He thought he was being looked at by the GWF as a potential IP belt challenger. Never expected this chance of greatness so soon. His father, Exo-King, is so proud and in the crowd. Looking a bit fragile and weak but wearing a massive smile. Of course Jack is a huge underdog. But his chances greatly increase when a disturbance in the crowd is heard. Fans then suddenly part like the Red Sea as Paragon flanked by Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf make there way down. Colby makes a digital transfer of Galactic Credits to a family in the front row to buy their seats. The excited father excitedly checks his device and upon seeing the sum appear jumps up and shouts “come on kids. Off to the merchandise store”. With Paragon now watching from close quarters Chaos is hugely distracted. He won’t start the match. Everytime it looks like he will start then breaks off to jump out the ring and start trash talking with the CPC trio. Paragon won’t give him the satisfaction of a response although Magnus Colby cannot help but look over to where the GWF Heavyweight belt lay and refer to it as cheap trash. Jack was patient the first few times but eventually tires of waiting. Hungry for action and urged by his manager, Commander Sam, he jumps at Chaos with a hard knee into the back. The impact surprised Chaos causing him to stagger forward and go partially over the crowd barrier. His head ends up in Paragon’s lap. Paragon laughs and finally speaks “this won’t be the last time you are beneath me”. Chaos forces himself to stand and dithers over who to go for, Jack or Paragon. Then he hears the count getting dangerously close to 10 so he decides to return to the ring. Losing this way would keep the title but he would lose face in front of Paragon and co. He decides now it is time to demonstrate his awesome capabilities, Alpha Stone or not. Jack bravely stands his ground against the oncoming Chaos. Gives it a good go but just doesn’t have the power to withstand it and really threaten the belt. Chaos managed to severely hamper him with Indestructible Drop. Then goes straight in with BOW OF DEFEAT. Sam agonises on whether to storm the ring but decides to see if Jack can find a way out. After all it’s still early in the match. His hopes are dashed as Chaos squeezed harder and harder until Jack fades. The ref raises the arm of Jack but it falls limply all three times. Chaos now grabs hold of his belt and strides over to Paragon holding out in front so he can get a real close up. Paragon is unimpressed and says defeating a weakling like Jack is not cause for bragging. Chaos challenges him to do it better. Unbeknown to Jack he was being used as a barometer between these two stars and will face Paragon soon. Sam was straight into the dispute and ready to accept on Jack’s behalf. Reasoning that he can still extract something from this. A good showing against Paragon would repair much of the damage done here.
IP champ, Wraith, beats Terminus by DQ. A unique chance to hold both secondary belts for Terminus. He arrogantly proclaims it will be the greatest achievement in wrestling history. Seems to be forgetting US. Patriot already did this with the Heavyweight straps and many would argue it wouldn’t feature in the top 10 achievements. Nonetheless it would still be very impressive. Unfortunately the feat eludes him. Not through want of trying. Terminus has most of the action. He feels perturbed that Vertigo distracted him after HAMMERLOCK SLAM. Wraith dodged a bullet there. Just when Wraith seems to be building a bit of offence himself Terminus rolls outside. He manages to slam Wraith into a post. Velar’s distraction techniques not as good as Vertigo. The ref disqualifies him for the act. Terminus cries foul “everyone knows the GWF wants Wraith and Painmaster to face each other for the belt. If I’d won it would of spoilt that. Too much corruption. Am better off winning and holding CPC belts”.
Lycosa withstands the savagery to beat Draconian Sheik. Hardly any Masked Assassins left that aren’t suspended to take Drac on. Poor Lycosa gets the short straw. Very dangerous as he is managerless. But maybe he has the speed to keep clear of the Terrorists. Looks pretty grim at first as Drac butchers Lycosa with savage moves including his painful DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. But having offered nothing for about the first 5 minutes Lycosa suddenly springs into the life and for the second half of the contest Drac doesn’t get near him. Even the Terrorists are pretty withdrawn. Lycosa dazzles with a thrilling splash outside the ring a couple of times and went for BLACK WIDOW’S BITE. When that happened it was only time the Terrorists had an influence by providing a distraction. But Lycosa stayed right on it and gets a brilliant victory via a spectacular Moonsault. Backstage Darkos would of been thrilled by the outcome.
Vyper beats Brainstorm in about 20 seconds. Brainstorm trying to secure his ticket to GALACTICON. A win over someone of Vyper’s calibre could just do it. But it all goes wrong from the start. Vyper produces Zelda from the bag and offers Brainstorm to pet her. The girls, Maxine Babe and Darla, freak out and leave Brainstorm on his tod. In fact he tried to follow them but in his haste snags a foot on the bottom rope and lands face first on the floor. Brainstorm then loses even more composure when he realises a tooth got chipped. In a rush of blood he returns to the ring and runs at Vyper whom he holds responsible. He simply gets taken down with a Snake Spinesmasher. Almost gets pinned in just one move. Avoids that embarrassment. No, instead he gets pinned after the second which was VYPER’S SIDESHOW. Brainstorm’s upgrade has been disastrous. He’s worse than ever. As Dragonmaster, again doing work on the mic, puts it “the guy is hopeless. He couldn’t finish his dinner let alone a match”.
New Order barely breaks sweat against the Stormtroopers. Having failed so miserably in the CPC the Stormtroopers are back in the GWF. Their rep is on the floor as fans tease them over their loss to the Upstart Punks. New Order is looking at this as practice for bigger tests ahead. With the big man and athletic faster man setup it’s a pretty good simulation of the Gladiators. They do the necessary. Absorbing the Stormtroopers opening attacks and then wasting no time putting things to bed. They took care of Powerhouse and then subjected Hammer to DECIMATION for a quick win. Pretty much a squash.
Amazonia and Supernova crushed Cassandra and Maxine Babe. Blink and you’d of missed it. Supernova reverses a move off the ropes by Maxine and executes SPEED OF LIGHT to win. Amazonia and Cassandra didn’t even get into the action. The embarrassing loss barely registers with Maxine. She picks herself up adjusts her breasts and then touches up her lipstick with the help of a vanity mirror. Cassandra looking mortified she hadn’t taken it seriously. Cassandra remains ringside ready to manage the Stormtroopers in the next match hoping for much better.

CARD 931 – PELF PALACE:
New Order and Raven hands CPC Rising and Paragon a disturbing defeat in a Titan Death match. It’s hard to imagine a more talented team than this. But could Janus and Matador work together with Paragon? The ‘Big Man’ who has stolen their status. Paragon thinks they should be grateful to be in such exalted company as the CPC champion. Janus merely tells his interviewers “common enemies bring us together. We are just here to do a job on the WAR team. It’s not like we are bosom buddies with Paragon and are going to start hanging out together”. It is strange that the CPC has targeted WAR but they don’t have much love for New Order having seen them hold their tag belts hostage for so long. Whilst Paragon sees Raven as one of the most talented and successful wrestlers in GWF history and one of many guys that he wishes to show he is superior too. Raven is keen to get away from the stresses of the team’s feud with the Gladiators and was only too happy to take this challenge on. A win could flood his team with confidence and give some much needed momentum. Plus being one of the most loved heroes he shares the responsibility of the heroic teams to stand up to the CPC. His team suffers a tough start. The Penthouse Suite are firmly on top with the Matador and Janus demonstrating their newly honed tag skills and keeping both members of New Order under the cosh. Then Paragon demands in. Sharing the spotlight is not his strong suit plus he lets the New Order guys get away too easily. Wanting a piece of Raven. But New Order was there for the taking and his attitude now to the detriment of the team. It’s a very even affair against Raven. Maybe Paragon just shading it but never in a position to go for his deadly finisher. After a while he loses interest and tags out. But Janus becomes a weak spot. Gets into big trouble against Raven and takes BLADERUNNER and BROADSWORD in short order. Even though he survived these moves things weren’t looking good. Raven now feeds him to New Order who, after their rest, were looking in much better shape. They link up to hit DECIMATION on him. The pin saves are used up for the Penthouse Suite but for storyline purposes let’s just say Raven made sure Matador was otherwise engaged whilst Paragon wasn’t about to risk his neck for someone like Janus. So it meant Janus got pinned which went down like a lead balloon with the observing Colby and Pelf. Thantos was seated near them and fidgeted a bit uncomfortably. Of course Paragon was quick to shirk any responsibility for the team’s loss and placed full blame on the incompetence of Janus.
CPC Interstellar champ, Terminus, sees off the challenge of Bishop Hell. Sure Bishop Hell must be pretty p*ssed. He gets a shot at the Interstellar belt whilst the far inferior Dynamo gets to go for the Heavyweight belt this month. But it’s not like he can do much about it other than try and win the belt on offer. His GWF exile gives him no other options. He might also be handicapped as it has been suggested that HELLFIRE might not be tolerated. Commissioner Grogan says “proceed with caution. Our employers will be unhappy if CPC wrestlers start injuring each other”. The Bishop seems to conform as having go to a strong position he goes for FLYING CROSS four times in a row. Terminus kicks out easily everytime. Surely the Bishop would be frustrated and now ignite his hand but no he goes to the top for a deathjump instead. But he misses the mark big time. Terminus quickly scrambles across and covers. Hooks the leg and a snake eyes roll seals a victory out of nowhere.
Supernova is dazzling as she beats Velar to win the CPC Ladies belt. The CPC was so impressed with how Supernova performed in their own Zero Gravity match that they practically begged her to come and challenge for their belt. As Grogan put it “big performances deserve big prizes. Our belt represents a chance to go to a higher level than she has ever done before”. Supernova was more than happy to accept the opportunity presented. Not because she wants the belt but because it is an opportunity to prove not only are the male GWF wrestlers better than their CPC counterparts but so are the women. She delivers on that promise by using SPEED OF LIGHT twice in succession to take the belt. Great month for Supernova. Rotten one for Velar who could of ended it holding two belts but instead she now has none.
FDF defeated Transevolver. Workmanlike from the FDF. Despite their statements that tag teaming is their main focus it’s not looking like the case. They don’t seem to thrilled to be involved in this when their singles careers are taking off. However as soon as Adam sees Dreadnaught he quickly gets his focus. Their rivalry will always exist. Plus Commander Sam harbours lots of hatred towards not only Dreadnaught but Doomsayer too. Jack didn’t get anytime to feel sorry for himself after his loss to Chaos on the last show. Right in the thick of it. Hurt himself accidentally clattering the ref. Suffers two painful stints in SURFBOARD SUBMISSION whilst ref is down. Also gets tied up in QUADRUPLE CLAMP but managed to free himself. Great survival instincts but not looking good. Until out of nowhere a sunset flip almost pins Monad. Jack then makes light of all the punishment he’s taken to nail DIAMOND CUT and win.
Ursa Major overcomes Splatter by DQ. Splatter unhappy being booked against Ursa Major but when he tries to negotiate is told to get on with it. Grogan really laying down the law “you better wrestle properly or you’ll be in breach of contract”. Brave thing to say to someone holding a club. Ursa Major also brave. Coming out of his injured state early to face an old enemy of the Titans. It might also be a foolish thing but Ursa Major feels he still needs to prove himself as a singles star and won’t let a few bumps slow him down. He does himself proud by hanging with Splatter and wins by DQ after being hit with MEET ARSENAL. Usually when Splatter does this the referees at Pelf Palace look the other way. If Splatter hadn’t of complained so much beforehand he might of gotten away with it.
Mad Jester defeated Blazing Skull by DQ. On paper looked a good match but the reality is it was just a brawl. Constantly outside and ends on Maleph attacking Jester. Should of been some special stipulations as there was never going to be an outright winner.
Colussus handled Mutant. Big matches keep coming for Colussus, lol. Was strange as Star Warrior asks Colussus to take care of Mutant. Baffler. But Colussus bites his lip and wins easily via CYBORG DEATHBLOW.
Anaxis has little trouble with Ms. Liberty. Had almost forgotten about Ms. Liberty it seems so long since she wrestled. Despite a decent start she falters and goes down to CALL OF THE SIREN.
Unlucky 13 came up here for Anaxis. Which should mean a lottery attack from Splatter. After agonising I decided not to go ahead. Maybe even Splatter isn’t so sick as to batter a woman with Arsenal. Also he was having a backstage dispute with Grogan which kept him occupied.

CARD 932 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS + CPC ALL STARS – POLARIS INTERSTELLAR STADIUM & PELF PALACE:
Not been done in a while but CPC books a simultaneous ALL STARS show to go up against the GWF offering. When this happens it is always recognised as 1 card with 6 matches on each. Strangely the CPC allows Paragon to defend his belt as planned at the Polaris Interstellar Stadium. It’s considered a throwaway defence anyway and as Commissioner Grogan puts it “will give the ignorant GWF diehard fans a good look at a superior title. Maybe they will change their pigheaded minds about what brand to follow”. For what it’s worth the GWF wins the ratings battle here quite conclusively. The fact that the likes of Wolf and Frozen Fury were on their show helped ensure that. But that doesn’t bother Colby and Pelf as winning ratings was not their goal. They just wanted to create disruption and also put their brand right in the faces of the fans.
STARSLAMMERS SECTION
CPC Heavyweight champ, Paragon, doesn’t have it easy but he manages to overcome Dynamo. First defence outside of the Palace. Clearly Paragon being protected. The fact Dynamo is listed as the top contender from the office of Commissioner Grogan is a bit of a joke. Fans understandably unimpressed with such a lame main event. They wanted to see a top GWF guy taking it to Paragon. Magnus Colby is keeping it to himself but he really wants to see Dynamo get destroyed. The flexing session and flowers that had Sonora Pelf all in a tizzy has been playing on his mind. It’s quite funny to see Reynard B. Guile managing Dynamo but also treading very carefully round Thantos. Despite his corporate title B. Guile is very much secondary to him in the current CPC hierarchy. Dynamo pulling off a shock to win might boost his managerial rep no end but it could also bring him into conflict with his employers. For a while it actually looked worrying. Dynamo has the audacity to try MUSCLE RIPPER and make two other pinning attempts. He clamps his energy sapping Rib Crusher several times too. It’s not often Dynamo loses out in the power stakes but that’s what keeps Paragon alive. Maybe he is letting Dynamo have a good amount of offence to put on a show. Nobody knows for sure. But when Paragon hit a big boot off the ropes it seemed to herald a change in momentum. Paragon doesn’t come to the fore immediately after that but Dynamo’s attacks are getting more laboured. Paragon waits for the opening and then turns it on. It all culminates in a Whirlybird Backbreaker. B. Guile doesn’t dare try and interfere with Thantos so close. Paragon wins and it seems we are all set for GALACTICON against Chaos. But whose title will be on line? Maybe both? As for Dynamo, he actually emerges from this with great credit which will irritate Colby. Perhaps he has a place among the CPC mid/upper card going forward. He certainly remains a firm favourite with Sonora Pelf. Even more so after this.
Tag champs, Frozen Fury, fend off X-Termination. GWF pinning hopes on Frozen Fury coming through this so they can book Rebel Empire against them for the belts at GALACTICON. Not the best way to build your biggest show sweating on outcomes of other matches. Hopefully they have a plan B in place. X-Termination try to upset the apple cart and disrupt those plans. Johnny Rocket slams them “we are not a stepping stone. People forget X-Termination is one of the most decorated teams in history”. Much truth in his statement and his team makes a good start. Heart in mouth moment as Buck is taken to the HEADBANGER’S BALL but he makes a good kickout and stays in his current form. Blizzard soon fights his way into the match and steadies the ship. Gives Buck another shot at getting on top which he does as he unloads ROPE-A-DOPE FLURRY on Grunge. He covers and wins his team the match. Johnny Rocket runs in and smashes his mic over Buck’s head but all too late. Worse still was it triggers the change. As Genocide closes on Johnny he kneels before him “I’m so sorry, it was not my intention to upset you. Please spare me”. Genocide gets closer and closer. A move by Grunge to whack Genocide with his guitar from behind is foiled by Blizzard. Genocide grabs Johnny by the neck and lifts him off the floor. A puddle forms under Johnny as he is overcome by fear. Genocide is disgusted and throws Johnny into the turnbuckle before leaving with Blizzard. The crowd loves it and starts a ‘Johnny Wet Pants’ taunt. Johnny cannot leave quick enough. All very humiliating for him. Great stuff and what’s more the bigwigs at GWF HQ will breathe a sigh of relief. So far everything is going to plan.
Wolf overwhelms Terminus in a Titan Death match. Terminus keeps Wolf waiting. Tactic is to let Wolf burn up energy. Probably risky as it just gets Wolf wilder and wilder. He is desperate to punish Terminus for beating him in their last special match. At least this one would be confined mainly to the ring area. He has the crowd on its feet straight away as he tears up the runway at first sight of Terminus. For the whole 10 minutes this lasted he didn’t let up once. Terminus was knocked from pillar to post as he picked up 6 tokens without any reply. Wolf needed two bites of the cherry but ended it on SAVAGE FACE CLAW. Helluva ride that was and probably their most one-sided contest so far. Wolf needs to brush up on his wrestling lingo as he stares into the nearest camera and just shouts “BLOOD … BLOOD … BLOOD” over and over again. His way of celebrating.
Titan Fury defeated Rebel Empire by DQ. Sentry denies Titan Fury a major victory by pin fall. Rising Sun is inspired and totally destroys Vendetta. With barely any time elapsed executing SUNSET SPECTACULAR. At first Sentry tries a shot with the stun gun. The blast misses but Sentry wastes no time in then entering the ring. Before he can even attack the bell goes. Dragonmaster protects his buddy by sending Sentry out of the ring with a drop kick. Rising Sun then gets up himself and does the same to Nefarus sending him off the apron. Vendetta is still groggy and rolls under the bottom rope. Lord Nexus decides it’s safer in the ring and joins his team. The Titans have the high ground now. Nefarus decides the Titans are not worth worrying about and calls his team off. They have bigger fish to fry. Maybe if Rebel Empire go onto to become tag champions in the near future Titan Fury has a case making a challenge. A shot in the dark perhaps but they haven’t done too badly of late.
Cassandra controversially gets a win over Supernova by DQ decision. Supernova has been a busy girl this month. She’s really got the winning knack back. Cassandra, or Cassie as some fans chant because she hates it, is trying to get back to the lofty perch that she’s fallen from. In truth she was punching above her weight. However she gets an unlikely win which she’ll try and use as leverage. Supernova completely dominated but Cassie goes out the ring to break momentum. As Supernova comes after to get the action back inside Cassie grabs a chair. Supernova expertly executes a high kick causing the chair to go loose. In a side we haven’t seen to Supernova before she gets the chair and clocked Cassie with it instead. Supernova is horrified to learn of the disqualification. She wasn’t the instigator and claims self defence.
Skinhead too good for Karah. Even the presence of Mollock trying to maul Skinhead could not save Karah. The youngster couldn’t capitalise and got beaten with BAD ATTITUDE. Johnny Rocket seemed pretty happy. Oblivious of a big humiliation due to come his way later in the show.
CPC ALL STARS SECTION
Colussus withstood the aggression of Dreadnaught. No secret that Colussus isn’t too happy with his status on the Champions team. But if he can put a few big wins together maybe can force his way up the pecking order. He’s got a date with Heracles coming and Dreadnaught is still seen as a decent victory notch. Of course no way Dreadnaught is going to make this easy. Still trying to make the most of every minute of his souped up Transevolved state before his body starts to give up on him. Starts with real purpose. Colussus having difficulty. But just like his near future Dreadnaught burns out. His conditioning is poor and Colussus takes advantage. With Dreadnaught downed and struggling to get up he comes down with CYBORG DEATHBLOW. Doomsayer’s distraction is ignored and it’s another defeat for Dreadnaught. Doomsayer looks sheepish after the gallery look down on him. His team has failed miserably tonight.
Death’s Head shocked Bishop Hell. In a rant Bishop Hell declares all friends of Blazing Skull to be enemies of his. That brings him into conflict with all the Brymstonians. His pledge is to beat them one by one and finish with Blazing. However he stumbles at the first gate by going down to Death’s Head who nutted him with FUNERAL MARCH several times. Colby and Pelf look unimpressed in the gallery. It could be possible that they now put a roadblock up on the Bishop’s crusade against the Brymstonians. They didn’t get where they are today in the wealth stakes by chasing their losses. If the Bishop can’t handle Death’s Head then what chance does he have against Blazing Skull.
CPC Rising in cruise mode against Hunter’s Moon, non-title. Janus needs to get back in the good books by performing better in this non-title match. Although it’s going to take a lot to get him sitting back at the top table. Hunter’s Moon had Terak with them. Commissioner Grogan having relented on the extended ban against Savage Kingdom members apart from the Creeper and Mollock. Not that it would of been an issue as Mollock was on duty at the Polaris Interstellar Stadium. Unfortunately his presence cannot stop Hunter’s Moon going down easily. Janus was pretty fired up and made short work of Wildcat. An airplane spin did the damage. Vyper made a mad dash to break the pin but his reaction was too late.
Raven annihilated Monad. An old rivalry renewed for one night only. Raven always coped well against this multi armed freak. Monad believes this will be different and vows “the Gladiators will owe me a favour after I soften you up for them”. How wrong he was. It was a total walkover. Raven hit Monad hard and early. He even got some shots at Doomsayer. Monad totally floundering as he was hit with BLADERUNNER a second time. Means Raven has completed a very good month. Back among the elite for sure and showing maybe he can cope with leading WAR and being a top level wrestler at the same time.
Lycosa stays hot against Ursa Major. Seems Ursa Major’s unlikely win over Splatter has got him noticed. If he can win this he’ll be getting a shot at the Cruiserweight belt. Unfortunately his injuries are still not healed and may of been exacerbated by Splatter. Shame because it would be good to shut Darkos up. He is making a racket about how Lycosa is the next big superstar of the wrestling cosmos. So tiresome. Darkos had to give him a helping hand. Interfering crucially after Ursa’s SHOTGUN CRADLE. Lycosa recovers to later win with a flying spinwheel kick. Lycosa was unhappy with some of his flying moves. He’s a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work. At least he still won.
Theatre of Pain defeated Splatter and Mad Jester by DQ. Splatter has little interest in being part of this circus act. He violently brawls with Tragedy and gets disqualified for pinging back his mask and then smashing him into a table. Jester and Comedy both found this hilarious. Hands on each other’s shoulders laughing until they suddenly remember they were on opposite sides and started brawling themselves.

Latest News:
More discontent overheard from Janus talking to Commissioner Grogan at the last Pelf Palace show. He is still struggling to accept his diminished status on the roster. GWF.com posts the transcript. Janus moans “I am one of the most decorated wrestlers in history and you make me play second fiddle to Paragon in a tag team. I don’t care if we are the CPC tag champions. I need a singles push otherwise I might have to go elsewhere”. Grogan warns “you really are a whining piece of sh*t. Like a child that doesn’t get his own way. You will wrestle who and with whom we tell you to wrestle. Mr Colby and Ms Pelf pay you handsomely and you are under a contract. If you do not comply you will be out of a job and unable to wrestle anywhere else. Think more carefully. Take a leaf out your partner’s book. He hasn’t moaned once and he has an even bigger list of achievements than you”. It didn’t help his cause any when Janus then went and cost the Penthouse Suite a loss to WAR in the main event. Paragon has already gone on record as saying he will not teaming with a liability like that again. It’s the first blemish on his record since making the jump from Dimension X.
There are others who aren’t flavour of the month within the CPC. Splatter has been complaining a bit too loudly. He was roundly punished by having a zero tolerance to his weapon leading to an embarrassing loss to an injury hit Ursa Major. The he went too far in a tag match against Theatre of Pain. He’s on thin ice. Velar also not in the good books. As the sole ladies rep the expectation was that she would dominate not only their own title but also the GWF belt. But her form has been up and down like a yo-yo and at present she possesses no gold. It’s fair to say Terminus has outshone her achievements by a distance.
It’s a while away but the GWF is toying with adding a ladies tournament to ONLY THE BEST. A pilot was done a few years go which was well received but due to lack of numbers it wasn’t repeated. The feeling is the bracket now deserves another but it is unclear if it is going to be another one off. Will the CPC be putting on something similar to try and take some of the gloss off this popular event?
Commander Sam boldly challenges CPC Rising on behalf of the FDF tag team for their titles. He’s doing a lot of that lately having also set up Jack of Diamonds in a singles match against Paragon without actually consulting Jack first. Grogan steps in and says the decision will be his to make and not Janus, the Matador or Thantos. Obviously Sam sees this as cowardice and posts on Spacebook “Grogan scared. He’s about to deny the FDF a title shot even though we beat Transevolver with ease”. The war of words continues with Grogan warning “don’t question me. It may of been almost 20 years since I last stepped in a GWF ring but I can still whip your ass Sam. I am a man of honour and I will think it over”. Grogan might be right. He still looks in good condition and always looks to bursting out of his expensive suits when he walks around. How good would it be to see Sam and Grogan going at it.
With many of the Masked Assassins out through suspension the Ninjas had planned to fill the time by seeking out Makiwara to brush up on their training. His teachings made a huge difference to their success in the ring. However Darkos blocked the move and tells them to forget about trying to find that hermit. He is worried he could lose them forever. Just imagine if Makiwara decides to enter the GWF and become their permanent sensei.
Several guys are hitting a real purple patch right in time for GALACTICON. It is the 20th iteration of this legendary event and to mark this special occasion I thought it would be nice to wind back the clock and quickly remember where it all began. GALACTICON 1 held way back in 2087 at the Deimos IG Arena. My results are summarised below. Nice to have the memories and see it’s birth. Reckon I must of played this out well over 20 years ago … Thantos beats Krakan in a close Titan Death match to become the undisputed leader of the villain team. It wasn’t pretty as Thantos choked out a victory. Amazingly the crowd had been behind Thantos as they hated Krakan more but as soon as he won they turned against him and started a Star Warrior chant to drive him nuts … Tag champs, Brute and Massacre, lost to the Greek Gods by DQ. Things very quickly got ugly between the two rival teams and a huge brawl broke in which Actagon got bloodied against a ringpost … Star Warrior and Massif saw off Exo-King and Killer Queen. Popular win. Star Warrior, who was the Heavyweight champ, was looking untouchable at the time. Ably assisted by Massif he was able to finish Queenie in convincing fashion … Wolf took down Executioner in a Titan Death match. This effectively won the feud. Wasn’t easy as Wolf had to make one of his famed comebacks. It set Wolf up nicely to move into the title picture … Ghengis Khan and Mutant overcame Titan Express. Khan polished of Pit Viper with TWIN THRUST. Match was remembered more for another hideous post match attack on Viper. It sidelined him for a few months and pushed him close to a heel turn … Renegade demolished Vanity in a cage match. Quite how Vanity got himself into a match like this was puzzling. He stood no chance in a confined space against a lunatic like Renegade and easily loses after SPINECRACKER has him begging for mercy … Commander Sam beat Comrade Terror in the first of several Titan Death matches. Sam was at his patriotic best and used that energy to overwhelm his deadly rival with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP getting the job done … Beast-Rider opened the show with an easy win over Death Knight. Great win but Beast-Rider soon left red faced as he suffered a malfunction with the feathered bird beast he tried to fly out on.
As for the show itself GWF thinks it’s got the big one by booking Chaos-Paragon in the main event spot. Only the GWF strap will be up for grabs. They didn’t want the gimmicky CPC belt muddying the match. Tagline for the event being A FEUD ACROSS DIMENSIONS. Everything seemed to be working out perfectly. Until a day later the CPC goes one better by announcing Team CPC-Team GWF in a monster Titan Death Battlezone which will include both Chaos and Paragon. There will be 10 guys on each side. It’s huge and the first time heroes and villains have fought on the same side. Only the CPC could of brought them together in such a way. The show is being arrogantly promoted as THE GREATEST SHOW IN THE COSMOS and will also feature 3 appetiser bouts but these are a pretty big deal too. Some early PROMOS from the two main protagonists … Paragon “without the Alpha Stone your just the same guy I used to beat regularly on Dimension X”. Chaos “I will use that bow tie to strange your puny neck then crush your ribs in BOW OF DEFEAT. This is my territory and you’ll wish you never stepped into it”. Plenty other matches announced now, one of which is a subtle nod to the first ever event as Dragonmaster goes against Mutant. As well as Paragon both Blizzard and Lycosa are making their first ever appearances at the event. As anyone will tell you a good performance at this event is a well trodden path to bigger things.
GALACTICON 20 LINE UP SO FAR … Chaos-Paragon, Heavyweight belt match … Frozen Fury-Rebel Empire, Tag belt match … Wraith-Painmaster, IP belt match … CPC Rising-FDF, CPC Tag belt match (Lepus Stun Rod) … Raven-Thunder (Titan Death) … Mayhem and New Order-Vengeance, Malice and Overkill (Elimination) … Colussus-Heracles (4 Weapons of Destruction) … Titan Gliders-Assassin Air Raid (Titan Death - Fed Exile 10 cards) … Dragonmaster-Mutant … Plus 5 more
INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – Manslaughter and Ninja Assassins (all 5)
SUDDEN DEATH SCORING … GLADIATORS 19 - 6 WAR … at least the gap hasn’t widened. WAR showed signs of waking from their slumber during the month and look ready for GALACTICON. With bonus points on offer it’s a chance to make up the ground. But of course it could go the other way and make the Gladiators pretty much uncatchable.
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
SUPERNOVA – for stepping right into the heart of the CPC and taking one of their titles. That always goes down well with the fans. Plus she displays an endless enthusiasm that is so refreshing to see.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
NEW ORDER – they were at the centre of a revival from the WAR team this month. Defeating the Penthouse Suite and crushing Powerhouse. The sort of form that could be crucial against the Gladiators in GALACTICON month.

CARD 933 – FIRE ISLAND:
Lycosa defeated Prodigy to win the CPC Cruiserweight belt. Everyone is waxing lyrical about Lycosa and all his incredible moves but Thantos doesn’t rate him. He says “there’s a reason we didn’t let him into the CPC. Prodigy is far more spectacular and will show him who is boss”. Darkos, as he often does in the presence of Thantos, stays very quiet. Just stands with eerily glowing eyes inside his hood. Prodigy arrives on foot looking pretty ticked off. Some joker had let the air out of his motorbike tires and ruined his grand entrance. It must of been playing on his mind because he is hopeless against Lycosa and surrenders the belt pretty easily. Lycosa just threw caution to the wind immediately and used BLACK WIDOW’S BITE to finish it. Thantos stood almost in shock. He didn’t expect this at all. Darkos suggests to Lycosa they don’t hang around too long to celebrate. The Masked Assassins has lots of enemies at the moment. It got worse for Prodigy. Draconian Sheik and the Terrorists arrive on the scene and then attack him. It wasn’t a case of mistaken identity. They were seeking out Lycosa and Darkos but when it becomes clear they’d missed them they satisfied their lust for violence by beating on Prodigy. Thantos lets them have the stage. He sees it as punishment for Prodigy being so poor. If he’d won this wouldn’t of happened. Prodigy injured 3 cards after this. Perhaps if the injuries had been more serious there might have been some kind of CPC retribution. For the record the GWF takes no action on Drac or the Terrorists which angered Darkos. Most of his team got suspended when they conducted a similar attack.
Overkill beats Mace by DQ. Two tag specialists go at it one-on-one. Mace obviously desperate to put points on the board for WAR but it’ll be a spit in the ocean compared to what’s on offer at GALACTICON. No messing about he walks straight up to Overkill and offers him up on a test of strength. Thrash noisily screams from ringside at Overkill “don’t waste time playing his games. Just destroy him so we can get out of here”. Overkill nods and just grabs Mace round the neck and throws him into a turnbuckle. The force of which would of winded most guys but not Mace. He just bounces back swinging his fists. They now largely cancel each other out. Overkill has the slight edge in power but Mace a tad more agile. There is plenty of brawling too which costs Mace. He drops his team another point as he pushes Overkill backwards over a table. Might of gotten away with it if he hadn’t then just jumped on top of him and continued laying in. The bell goes off and they end up brawling to the back with even Thrash trying to get involved. She hits harder than most men. Mace does well to fend them both off before security intervenes. Not the most pleasing match to the eye. Both much better suited to tag wrestling.
Mutant upsets Rising Sun. With DM set to face Mutant in a nostalgic match at GALACTICON his great friend and partner tests the waters here. He enters and strikes some martial arts poses. Mutant looks on puzzled before slowly venturing forward to Rising Sun whom it then sniffs inquisitively. Suddenly out if nowhere it takes a huge bite out of Rising Sun’s arm drawing some blood. Lord Nexus calls out “that thing needs muzzling”. Krakan doesn’t care. He just laughs. Rising wipes away some of the blood and says “okay show’s over” and goes for Mutant. But it’s far from simple and Rising finds himself battling TEMPLE GRINDER more than once. He never gets going and loses to a running clothesline. Lord Nexus looks concerned as Rising collapses on way back to locker rooms. He is rushed to hospital. Found to have blood poisoning from that bite. Luckily antibiotics bring him back to full health very quickly.
Karah gets a win over Dark Justice by DQ. No Mercenaries with Justice for once. Karah not seen to be a threat to be worth the time or effort. But he gave Justice a few scares including his BARBARIAN SHUFFLE finisher. Makes a comeback and hits SHOCK PROBATION only for Mollock to stop him pinning by reaching in and yanking Justice out the ring by the leg. Justice just slid across the ring helplessly. Ends up still rising first because Karah was now struggling. Justice now gets more anxious and ramps it up with ROD OF JUSTICE but it led to the DQ. He looked so ticked off that he wanted to really beat on Karah some more but with the hulking Mollock so close by then thought better of it.
Mandrill beats the Creeper by DQ. Mandrill looking for practice. Someone he can dominate. But he has more problems than anticipated against the Creeper. Eventually got it together and did COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Only for Mollock to get all protective of the Creeper and storm the ring. Mandrill ordered Sentry to shoot the beast with his stun gun. Sentry seemed paralysed with fear so Mollock was able to get to Mandrill and powerfully body slam him down. Mandrill was winded but managed to roll out the ring to get away.
Rebel Empire crushed the Centaurians. Over pretty fast. Talisman goes down to EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT. Means Rebel Empire head into their big title challenge with arch enemies Frozen Fury in good form.

GALACTICON 20 matches now finalised as details of the final 5 matches are announced. They comprise … Max Shield-Mandrill, first time they have faced off in singles action at this event. A lumberjack match that could easily get out of control … A ladies battle royal. All 8 women will be involved and this will be an interesting match to open the event … Pegasus-Terminus. Pegasus meets another CPC guy. Obviously would prefer Paragon but he must wait it out because that is the territory of Chaos … Wolf-Dynamo. Wolf finally catches up with Dynamo to settle a simmering issue that has existed since the beginning of the year … Draconian Sheik-Dark Justice. How could this bloody feud not be featured.
But first it is THE GREATEST SHOW IN THE COSMOS from Pelf Palace featuring Team CPC against Team GWF in a Titan Death Battlezone. 10 guys on each side.

CARD 934 – THE GREATEST SHOW IN THE COSMOS – PELF PALACE:
Big cash bonuses promised for star performers tonight. But will Colby and Pelf actually cough up for the GWF guys if they win? Commissioner Grogan opens the show “tonight is evidence that this is the greatest wrestling brand in existence today. Fans and wrestlers alike should not be afraid of us. The CPC represents the future of wrestling. It’s a good future for everyone. We just ask people to comply and stop getting in the way of progress. Now sit back and enjoy watching our team representing its superiority. Hopefully it can at least be a little bit competitive”. With so many wrestlers to pick from it did make the GWF team potentially really stacked so I decided to pick at least one wrestler from all of the available team affiliations. But there were too many teams so had to be a little selective. I also decided to focus on guys who were not in registered tag teams. Order of wrestlers was drawn randomly.
Team CPC order … 1. Monad 2. Bishop Hell 3. Paragon 4. Mad Jester 5. Terminus 6. Janus 7. Splatter 8. Prodigy 9. Dreadnaught 10. Matador of M83
Team GWF order … 1. Chaos 2. Blazing Skull 3. Dark Justice 4. Pegasus 5. Mandrill 6. Wolf 7. Vengeance 8. Archon 9. Max Shield 10. Raven
TEAM GWF OVERCOMES TEAM CPC IN A TITAN DEATH BATTLEZONE. This was huge and about the only thing that could of overshadowed Chaos against Paragon at GALACTICON. The way the draw came out it was entirely possible that they would cross paths here. But that possibility was quickly squashed. It’s a terrific match and for a long time there was nothing between them as the teams kept exchanging victories until Wolf began a brilliant run of form. He was the only guy that stood out. Big guns like Pegasus, Chaos and Paragon failed to live up to expectation. Here’s how it went … Monad knocks out Chaos. Gasps as Chaos emerges first. How far can he take the GWF team? He was bossing things from the start. Looked perilous for Monad but suddenly Chaos takes a risk and goes for a deathjump. Monad managed to get up and with all four arms throw down Chaos with tremendous force. Before Chaos can get up Monad is on him with SURFBOARD SUBMISSION. Chaos doesn’t want his arms injured ahead of facing Paragon and so he willingly submits. Shocking outcome … Blazing Skull quickly evens it up by beating Monad. Blazing takes no prisoners and gets Monad with BURNING TOUCH. Monad too stunned by what he did to Chaos and got caught napping … Bishop Hell burned rival Blazing Skull. What a sizzling contest to throw up next. It is easily best match so far. Bishop Hell went for HELLFIRE in less than a minute. Blazing Skull withstands and surges back. Lays 4 tokens on the Bishop including one from BURNING TOUCH. But it’s not enough as the Bishop turns a brawl in his favour and throws his finisher in Blazing’s face again this time successfully … Dark Justice quickly disposes of Bishop Hell. No surprise in the outcome as Bishop Hell was carrying plenty of fatigue. He was finished with SHOCK PROBATION in less than a minute. Nobody is building a run yet but there’s a long way to go … Paragon breezes past Dark Justice. Still hasn’t got boring seeing Paragon silence a crowd. Even after several months he still has that aura. Of course he cannot pretend to be able to maintain his unbeaten record through the course of this but he is highly fancied to knock off a good few GWF wrestlers. Justice is desperate to be the first guy to pin him but quickly gets outwitted and runs into a turnbuckle. After that it’s one way traffic and Paragon beats him with a running power slam with barely a mark on him … Pegasus eliminates Paragon. This is huge. We may not be getting Paragon against Chaos but this is the next biggest thing. Becomes an epic battle. Pegasus with the edge in the early minutes but Paragon getting stronger all the time. But sometimes it’s when you are in control that you can be vulnerable. Paragon powerfully threw Pegasus into the ropes but was too casual in going for a backdrop. Pegasus put the brakes on and nailed a piledriver. With Paragon stunned he quickly went for PROJECT PEGASUS and eliminated him. This all happened later but Paragon refuses to accept the loss of his unbeaten record as he wasn’t fresh meaning Pegasus had a big advantage and also this wasn’t an official one-on-one match … Mad Jester upsets Pegasus. Nobody can go beyond one win at the moment. The exertions against Paragon catch up with Pegasus. He really struggled here and went down to A DEAD MAN’S VERSE … Mandrill has too much for Mad Jester. Amazing as the two teams continue to match each other blow for blow. Mandrill absorbs early attacks and then delivers COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Can he be the first to win a second match now? … Terminus quickly ends the involvement of Mandrill. Initially looked like Mandrill was on top but then comes a sudden turnaround that ends in him being pinned after HAMMERLOCK SLAM. Still neck and neck … Wolf dominates Terminus. This couldn’t of been scripted better as these two enemies meet again. But unlike their other matches this is very one-sided. It’s all Wolf. Needs to put a fair few tokens to keep Terminus down though. Terminus up to 5 by the time SAVAGE FACE CLAW went on. Amazingly the trend continues with both sides trading victories all the way to the halfway stage … Wolf defeated Janus. Finally someone with back to back wins. In the longest match so far by a margin Wolf fights back after being tied in GORDION KNOT. Ultimately he latches on with SAVAGE FACE CLAW to finish it. Janus is so embarrassed. He must improve. The hint from the hierarchy had been subtle but now that hint is getting more aggressive especially after losing a match of this magnitude … Wolf wins a crazy battle with Splatter. Hardcore heaven. Wolf doesn’t look in the slightest bit bothered by Splatter keeping Arsenal in one of the corners. Goes for the jugular straight away. Splatter getting battered all over the ring but refusing to stay down. He managed to get a hit on Wolf with MEET ARSENAL after absorbing all the punishment. But Wolf is showing similar incredible levels of adrenaline and endurance. Finally Wolf clamps SAVAGE FACE CLAW and it was one move too many for Splatter to take. Already carrying 5 tokens and bleeding from under his mask he collapsed under the crushing pressure on his skull. Incredible from Wolf. What a year this guy is having. Looks so liberated not being tied to any team and wrestling some of the best stuff in his career … Wolf sees off the injured Prodigy. Wolf goes through another. Although for once someone got out of his claw. Wolf kept up the tempo and it was a running clothesline that beat Prodigy. All of a sudden things looking very bleak for Team CPC … Wolf keeps his amazing charge going against Dreadnaught. Another mind blowing effort. Wolf saw Dreadnaught power out of his SAVAGE FACE CLAW three times but he just kept applying it every opportunity. On the fourth one Dreadnaught can take no more. Just the Matador standing between Team GWF and victory now. It will take a miracle to lose this as they have 4 guys in reserve … Matador of M83 brings Wolf down. Wolf is chomping at the bit, still full of energy but finally meets his match. Matador counters the initial attack. Wastes no time in going for BULLWHIP. Given the fatigue that has accumulated Wolf stood little chance against the move … Vengeance takes the glory as he beats Matador of M83. The miracle comeback never really looked on. Too much for the Matador to do. A promising start against Vengeance soon fades and he gets pinned after HELTER SKELTER. Team GWF wins pretty comfortably in the end with 3 guys to spare (Archon, Max Shield, Raven). It was all down to Wolf. He played a starring role. Up in the gallery the likes of Colby, Pelf, Grogan and Thantos have faces like thunder. The steel blind quickly comes down to afford them privacy. There will be some colourful language exchanged for sure. Would love to be a fly on the wall to find out what was going on.
CPC Ladies belt match, Supernova against Anaxis ends in a double DQ. Velar watches on with jealousy. She cannot believe being completely out of the belt picture. But only has herself to blame and needs to work very hard to get back up there. In fact her bosses were so unimpressed she wasn’t invited to observe from the gallery like some wrestlers are. Instead has to slum it in the crowd. Anaxis made a quick start with some early pressure but the boot was soon on the other foot. Supernova’s superior agility standing her in good stead. Anaxis is frustrated and resorts to regularly going out of the ring. Eventually entices Supernova out and when a brawl breaks the ref calls immediate DQ. Totally intolerant to what he saw as unladylike behaviour. Maybe he just wanted to get the match ended so everyone could now enjoy the massive main event.
Malice defeated Mayhem in a Barbed Wire Cage match. Is this wise so close to GALACTICON? One of these guys will be surely carrying injuries into the big elimination match as there are always casualties. Not that they particularly care. Mayhem especially cannot wait to get stuck in. Even going so far as to rake his own arm across the barbed bars to draw blood. He licks his arm and smiles. If that was supposed to intimidate Malice it does not work. The young Gladiator unhesitatingly approaches Mayhem ready to spill more of his blood. It’s 5* goodness as they hold nothing back. The barbed sides becoming a frequent tool of torture. By the end they are barely recognisable. Their face paint replaced by blood. It could have gone either way but Malice connected with an adapted version of FIELDS OF MALICE (+4). Only just connecting with it. Mayhem tried to continue but it was clear his race was run. A setback for the WAR team. Mayhem also carrying debilitating injuries into GALACTICON, 6 cards.
Lower World devours Alpha Force and Talisman in a Cosmic Cage match. The Centaurians like making friends among the heroes. Both Talisman and Alpha Force were at a loose end for both tonight and GALACTICON so Talisman suggested they team up to face Lower World. Alpha Force jumped at the chance. And of course the Brymstonians will always be up for these type of battles. Pelf Palace was a willing platform as the CPC wants to make this a hugely successful show. Their only insistence was that it be a special match. After deliberation a bog standard cage match was chosen. Slow start as Erebus gormlessly stands outside the cage. The door mechanism befuddling it. Turns out it ain’t too bright. Ends up trying rip it off the hinges until Death’s Head slides and flicks the latch with a bony finger. They then stand ground inside the cage attacking the moment the two heroes enter the cage. Sadly the heroes offer very little fightback. They are not in sync and Talisman got into big trouble after being subjected to SKULLWORKS. Although he kicked out Death’s Head was straight on him with FUNERAL MARCH a couple times to finish him off.
