CARD 1157 – TERRONAUT TOWERS:
Code Enforcer beats Thunder by DQ. First TV outing for the Code Enforcer in 2111. He was a frustrated bystander in the recent FDF-Great Comeback Battlezone match. Although his team won he wanted to get in the ring and didn’t feel like he contributed. So is chomping at the bit for this. Thunder represents a huge obstacle though. The Gladiator is highly motivated to realise his huge potential and is probably only a win or two away from being given another chance to go for the Heavyweight belt. It’s not an ideal scenario a Gladiator holding it although it’s got to be better than Mandrill. Anyway it is a bad tempered match up. Went on for a long time and pretty even. Maybe Thunder just shading it. Commando Sam is branded a hypocrite in the aftermath for his interference which is not in the spirit of the code he keeps spouting. Sam angrily reminds that when the other wrestler breaks the rules all bets are off. So both Brute and Sam were as bad each other here. Whenever things spilled outside they were getting involved and as the match ticked on that happened more and more. Eventually Brute goes too far as he manhandles the Code Enforcer from behind in a bear hug. Shows how powerful Brute still is that the Code Enforcer couldn’t easily break free. Meanwhile Thunder deals with Sam by flooring him with a diving choke slam. Then joins Brute to gang up on the Code Enforcer. A cavalry charge from Archon who is leading out Desolation Factor and a reluctant looking Lance At-Las saves the bacon of Sam and the Code Enforcer. The Gladiators are forced to back away. Trisis later braves an interview with Brute who promises much more of this in 2111 “nobody is safe from the Gladiators, we are stamping our authority on this fed and blaming everybody for the death of Massacre. Not even Vengeance would do that to one of his own. It’s payback time”.
Mutant beats Grovel quickly in a Titan Death match. Unbelievably this is a top contender match for the Centra belt. The GWFC couldn’t resist and nobody can argue as the record of these two things is much better than expected. Probably the biggest surprise is how quickly this was over as Mutant squashes Grovel in just 4 moves. Getting the better of an immediate brawl and then torturing it with TEMPLE GRINDER on returning to the ring. A rematch with Mayhem for the Centra belt now awaits. In hindsight I should have had this card on Primus and booked this as a Lava Pit match, how cool that would of been.
Draconian Sheik and Vyper defeated Dark Justice and Mike Fortune. Vyper’s singles push stalls to engage in this tag match. This has double DQ written all over it. Only it actually ends up going pretty clean. I don’t think the action even spilled out the ring once. Vyper was the winning wrestler as he caught Dark Justice with a shoulder breaker and an extremely roll on the dice garnered him the pin. As clean as the action was during the match that didn’t count out afters as Mike Fortune grabs Justice’s rod without asking and smashes Vyper from behind with it just as the ref was raising his arm. That sparked a mass brawl that went right to the back. When the dust settled Vyper had accumulated a 2 card injury.
Enigma wins a thriller over Euritar. Enigma thought when he joined the Rocketmen it would be for a bigger role and for a while it all seemed good as he was the first Centra champion. Yet here he is one year on in a low position and well down the pecking order in the team. Rather than moan he intends to win matches and force himself into the reckoning. Euritar, a man blessed with similar agility, would be a pretty good scalp. With the Code Enforcer on the same bill Euritar was worried a run in could happen and has Reynard B. Guile watching the runway closely just in case. At one point the curtain twitched and B. Guile comically shouted “watch out he’s coming”. Proved to be a false alarm as it was just a behind the scenes worker. Put Euritar off though and got a laugh. When things settled down though we got a classic match. Five stars for certain as both guys thrilled with their athleticism and the pendulum constantly swung. Both had almost certain pins foiled after their finishers due to managerial distractions. Then Euritar was having to be careful about ever going out the ring as Enigma was not shy about using his Feet of Fury move. In fact it allowed Enigma to get the edge and looked he’d finally won it after a spectacular Tornado DDT. Only for B. Guile to launch another massive distraction which allowed Euritar to recover and use HEADS WILL ROLL on Enigma. No way Johnny Rocket was going to let an injustice like that happen and he wades in with a distraction of his own to keep his guy in it. Then there was poetic justice as Enigma managed to recover from the effects of the finisher and wrestle back control. When he attempts ENIGMA SUICIDA again both were dead on their feet. Enigma connects with it and gets the victory his earlier efforts deserved. B. Guile looked pretty bewildered. His Great Comeback is anything but so far!
Rising Sun pinned Sir Ender. Rising getting what he calls a vital training match in preparation for his shot at greatness at the end of the month. Sir Ender takes exception to this “I am no mere sparring partner. This is a contest between two valiant heroes of the federation. I am sure the fans will have a hard time choosing who to cheer”. Who is he kidding? You could have heard a pin drop as he sauntered out. Rising on the other hand gets a huge pop. He tried to give them their moneys worth by not squashing Sir Ender athough maybe he was a little to lax. Giving Sir Ender rather more offence than expected. Then Sir Ender actually kicked out after SUNSET SPECTACULAR. That certainly wasn’t in the script. Rising realised after that he better try and get this won before it gets embarrassing. Although he still struggled. It took a few more mins before he was able to work a position for his finisher again. Second time around there was no resistance from Sir Ender to being pinned. He was out for the count.
Amazonia handled Serpentine. Amazonia still waits for a male opponent. Watch for later in the month for something to happen on that front. For now she has to keep trying to beat what’s put in front of her. On this occasion it is Serpentine. On paper an easy enough match but with Hunger skulking about too could make this a potential banana skin. Thankfully Lorelei lessened the effects of her. Even helping to provide a crafty distraction for THE WARRIOR’S SHIELD which won the match. Archon wouldn’t have approved. Good job he’s not around anymore.

CARD 1158 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Tag champs, Twin Blood, keep their stranglehold on the belts as they sweep aside Disorder X. A feud driven from many angles. All that’s happened between these guys in the past and now the tag belts thrown into the mix. Having won their last non-title match Disorder X has every right to be confident. Mace is looking like anything will set him off though. Johnny Rocket’s constant jabbering on his microphone results in him breaking off from a lock up with Dreggs and tagging out so he can tell him to shut up. This drops Grunge right in it as he is set upon before he’s even got through the ropes. Twin Blood is all over him and with the fast tags there is no respite. In the space of about 3 minutes they’ve got this sewn up as they use SEEING DOUBLE on Grunge. Mace stamps angrily on the apron. Another show of petulance and leaving the commentary team speculating whether that was the last straw and the team will now break up.
Centra champ, Mayhem, just about gets it done against Mutant. A rematch for the belt. Mutant gave Mayhem big problems last time. Surely it has been punching above its weight and will get destroyed this time around. Krakan stays very hands off. He’s very wary of upsetting the Gladiators and doesn’t want to make an enemy of them. As shown so far this year they will go after just about everybody. Mutant doesn’t hold back though. It was attracted to the gold around Mayhem’s waist like a magpie. Tries to rip it off him before Mayhem pushes Mutant away and throws the belt off himself. As Mutant scurries towards it Mayhem just comes down on the back of its head with a powerful elbow. Although if he thinks it’ll be easy then he got a big shock. Mutant fought back savagely and even had Mayhem in its TEMPLE GRINDER at one point. Mayhem was really struggling again and typically missed with LEAP OF DOOM later in the bout to give Mutant another sniff at winning. Ultimately Mayhem just about got the win after a few tokens had built up on Mutant. Mayhem lined up with a Cranium Cracker shortly after a wild move involving the top rope went wrong for Mutant. It was a sickening sound on impact and proved to be the move that ended Mutant’s unlikely run at the Centra belt.
Ursa Major beats Mad Jester Original by DQ. Ursa Major was disappointed Titan Attack’s run at the tag belts came up short. So he’s now having a brief foray into singles. Why not. He may not be a Heavyweight champion level wrestler but the Centra belt could be realistic. His partner and manager fully support him. With the cloned Jester out injured the original is forced into singles action. He’s definitely weathered. Has been around a long time. Ursa Major was clearly the superior wrestler although Jester showed there’s still a bit left in the tank and makes himself difficult to beat. Ursa Major did eventually look like he was closing in on the win. Thought he’d achieved it via TITAN VICTORY ROLL only for Jester to kick out. Surely a matter of time though. However Jester kept trying to get it out the ring where he was more dangerous. Manages to deny Ursa Major a pin victory by going for his barbed rattle and drawing the DQ. Ursa Major was clever enough to minimise his engagement with Jester on seeing he was armed.
The Soulwatcher over Pegasus by DQ. Pegasus went into a state of shock over his loss at Rack at CENTRA PERENNIAL. Clearly the reason for this match is he’s now looking for someone easy to kick around. The fans get right behind the Soulwatcher hoping for another stunning upset. We have to watch a long overdone pre announcement though as Reynard B. Guile has to stroke the ego of Pegasus. Then a further delay as the ref won’t allow both B. Guile and Maxine Babe be at ringside. In the end it’s B. Guile who leaves as Pegasus says “sorry man but she’s easier on the eye”. The Soulwatcher certainly doesn’t disgrace himself and actually had more of the offence. Pegasus was not getting much going. On throwing the Soulwatcher into a turnbuckle Pegasus found himself outside the ring after the follow up shoulder smash missed. Sensing things are not going well Pegasus picks himself up and reaches in to drag the Soulwatcher out with him. Sticks him straight into a nearby table which causes the DQ. Pegasus was probably expecting a distraction from Maxine Babe to be forthcoming but she was too busy fixing her lipstick. Definitely a bad judgement call from Pegasus to choose her over B. Guile.
Transformer crushed the Ravagers. Baby steps for the Ravagers as they build towards an inevitable meeting with Rebel Empire. Their impressive debut was put into perspective by their loss to the Betrayers in their follow up match. Ventross recognises they need more experience although it’s not as easy to rein Rankor in who wants to go to war with everybody. Unfortunately they have to suffer another harsh lesson here. Transformer laid siege to Rankor from the opening bell. He never managed to tag out as he fell to defeat in just a few minutes. Took incredible punishment that included SURFBOARD SUBMISSION twice before Nth Degree beat him via PIN USING ROPES. Rankor had 7 fatigue tokens by that point which gives an insight as to how much he was dominated. The outcome kind of sums up Transformer. A team that can beat the best there is on one night and then slip up against undercard teams the next.
Hunger devoured Ms. Liberty. Not much of a contest. Ms. Liberty fell pretty quickly after she was hit by a 450 splash that was probably made more potent by that mouth on Hunger’s abdomen.

CARD 1159 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
TRISIS SHOWCASE featuring Archon … Trisis knows how to engage the fans. Before introducing her guest she recounts various tales and experiences from her first year following and being involved in wrestling. The fans were loving the narrative and almost seemed disappointed when the time came to introduce her guest. With it being Archon it was sure to be a tiresome rant along the lines of respecting the code and ridding the fed of filth and we weren’t disappointed as he does exactly that. Trisis almost gets her head bitten off when she suggests he has deserted Blade and Lorelei and that he can never understand their pain at losing a son and a brother “how dare you call me a deserter! There’s a wrong way and a right way to conduct yourself. No excuses. I was struggling to keep things civil within that team and then they went and invited that hooligan Wolf. When Genocide then appeared and they started arguing over who was the most dangerous wrestler that was the final straw. I need to be around like minded people with similar goals and outlooks. Commando Sam is a man I respect and fully intend to support”. Several more rants take place but it only gets interesting at the end. Archon says “also I’d like to address the notion that nobody thinks I can do hardcore matches. Well they are wrong. I am prepared to step into the ring with code breakers under any conditions. I’ve got a match against Wolf booked in next week. I propose we spice it up and make it a Nightmare Matrix match. I’ve heard this is a new type of match that can happen. How about it Wolf?” What a way to end and it sounds like Wolf didn’t take long to reply as at the end of show when next weeks ANTILIA ARMAGEDDON matches are revealed the Wolf-Archon match was already being promoted as being a Nightmare Matrix match.
Rising Sun wrestles the match of his life to depose Mandrill as the Heavyweight champion. When the year began Rising Sun had serious aspirations for the Heavyweight belt although am sure even he didn’t think that he would be getting a title shot so soon. Everyone is hoping he can do it. It’s sickening to see Mandrill stride out like the ruler he pretends to be. Rouser was just inches behind stirring things up with his chanting and waving his sign. Rising wants to get at him in the runway although Lord Nexus manages to persuade him to hold back. Wanting Rising to conserve energy. It was a wise move as the early bombardment from Mandrill would have been tough to withstand if he hadn’t of been in tip top shape. Mandrill used both his finishers in the first few minutes and frustratingly found Rising tough to pin. It was just a question of hanging on for Rising and seizing the opportunity when it presented itself. That came as Mandrill went for a Tombstone Piledriver and Rising expertly countered with a head scissors. The raucous tones of Rouser suddenly dried up as Mandrill got into trouble. Rouser then found himself trying to interfere after a second SUPER DRAGON DROP had Mandrill looking in real peril. The crowd went crazy though as Rising met him with a flying dropkick to send him sprawling. The momentum was well and truly with Rising and he went for SUNSET SPECTACULAR. It was more than enough to beat Mandrill and the roof comes off as Rising wins the belt. It all got a bit emotional as Rising hugged Lord Nexus and the other Titans joined them in the ring. Even Dragonmaster left the commentary booth to be a part of it. This was a memorable moment as Rising Sun is the first ever Titan to hold the biggest prize in all of wrestling. One for the historians but Lord Nexus did actually win it once. It was in the often forgotten Early Classics era. He beat Commander Sam only to lose it immediately to Thantos just before the fed was restructured and 2087 began. So it is another of those reigns that is often stricken from the record books.
Ladies champ, Sniper, survives a tough test from Supernova to win by DQ. There’s almost a look of resignation on Supernova before this starts. She just cannot get the better of Sniper. Nobody can! However once the bell goes she injects some real energy and gives it a real go. Sniper still looks fantastic though and the speed at which she gets her TARGET PRACTICE finisher off never ceases to amaze. In a two minute period she must of used it 4 or 5 teams to nibble away at Supernova’s energy reserves. However she almost get pinned after fouling a deathjump up and for the first time in a long while looks rattled. Supernova responds to this opportunity and attempts SPEED OF LIGHT. Maybe the title run was finally coming to an end. Sniper manages to kick out though and stays in the match. Supernova doesn’t want to let her catch breath and gets very frustrated as Sniper manages to get herself outside. Over eagerness sets in as Supernova launches herself over the top rope at Sniper and wipes her out with a crossbody. The ref had warned her not too and is a known stickler. He harshly calls for the bell and disqualified Supernova. Very disappointing. Sniper just goes on with this remarkable reign and showed tonight even when she’s below her best still has a knack of finding a way to win.
Tocsin defeated Dreadnaught in a Centra Coffin match. Dreadnaught is still ticking and the fed books him in yet another Coffin match. Dreadnaught is a bit timid about them as he knows deep down he’ll probably permanently be in one soon but it’s the only way to get on the bill so he rolls with it. Tocsin didn’t seem bothered by it though. Released from the shackles of the Colonizers and wrestling his first match in years. Not sure what he made of the few cheers received. He’s not an archetypal hero. It’s not a pretty match as expected. Lots of rest holds too as neither guy is brimming with energy. Dreadnaught probably regretted getting too close as he was subjected to Toxic Breath a few times. Although Dreadnaught was competitive in the early stages he started to fade badly and flirted with the Death Chart at one point. Thankfully it was a minor injury roll so just added a couple of fatigue tokens. It was what was needed for Tocsin as it took Dreadnaught past 10. Of course he still had to get Dreadnaught into that coffin and that was achieved a few minutes later following SENTRY STUNNER to end it. Thankfully when officials reopened the coffin and tended to Dreadnaught they could see he was still alive.
Anarchy goes over Blade. Lots of responsibility thrust onto Blade’s shoulders. With both Wolf and Archon gone it’s up to him to try and carry the team. Genocide is too unpredictable to lead a team. Blade has had some memorable wins in his career. Now needing consistency to really hang with the big boys. His mother, Lorelei, as ever is at his side and doing her best to minimise Maleph’s contributions. It was tough enough facing Anarchy fresh off losing the Heavyweight belt than having to deal with that winged demon as well. Blade gives it a real go and shows great athleticism to sting Anarchy straight away. However not dealing any real lasting impact. Things turn dramatically as Anarchy powers out of Blade’s attempted Centaurus Leg Lock. After that it’s all Anarchy. He administers CRUCIFIX DROP and gets away with it. Lorelei’s distraction attempt was in vein as she watches her son slump to defeat. Looks like if she wants to try and beat someone like Anarchy it’s going to take unleashing Genocide. The hulking new member of the Centaurians is being wasted in matches with Tortured Soul.
Titan Attack sees off the Team With No Name. Titan Attack wrestling comes as a relief to the fans who thought Ursa Major was pursuing a singles push and the team was no more. He says he intends to do both “Scion and I are capable singles wrestlers too so why not”. The Titans patiently wait for the Clones. You never know what you’re going to get when they come through those curtains. Tonight they burst out on tricycles. They both end up crashing into each other on the runway. Not to be put off they both mount them again and set about trying to juggle at the same time. The ref comes out and orders them onto the ring. The lights are on but nobody’s home as they ignore him. It takes both Titans coming out and physically manhandling them into the ring. In an unremarkable contest the Titan duo slowly work themselves into a position of superiority. Ursa Major had the winning move as TITAN VICTORY ROLL gets Mad Jester Original pinned.
Rebel Empire annihilated Rigel Warriors. Rebel Empire is under pressure from Mandrill to do more this year. At times they have looked very strong only to choke in the big matches. At least they owned the SWAT Team before Trench’s traitorous turn. This didn’t represent a huge test though. Meteor even arrived with a suspicious white powder still on his nostrils. He clearly wasn’t in shape to wrestle so Lance had to carry the can. He was easily overwhelmed. Nefarus used SCISSORDRIVER on him to set him up for Vendetta’s entrance. They soon combined for EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT to get an easy win.

CARD 1160 – ANTILIA ARMAGEDDON – RUINS OF ANTILIA:
Torrential storms batter Antilia as the GWFC braves its return with a spontaneous supercard. It was going to be mini event with just 8 matches although the bookings kept creeping up. There are no title matches though. Done on purpose so feuds can be in the spotlight. It becomes memorable for all the wrong reasons as the rumours about Murdok are realised. The title of the show seemed quite apt given what had happened.
Corporal Aegis outlasts Wraith in a Ruins of Antilia match. It’s the stuff of nightmares as a violent lightening storm breaks out close to the site. The cameras leave the match to focus on an area of disturbance. Suddenly from within the soft ground a tomb partially pushes out. The being thought to be Murdok emerges from it and pulls himself out. On standing up he hesitates for a moment before fixing his sight on the contest in the distance. He walks purposefully towards it. No emotion or life in the eyes. He looks every bit as powerful and deadly as all the stories have suggested. The combatants are blissfully unaware of his approach until the sky goes black and Murdok steps out from behind a distant ruin and threatens Aegis. He calls everyone intruders. For a moment Aegis looks like he is ready to have coronary. Looking petrified before he manages to man up. Leaving Wraith behind he moves forward to engage Murdok who is now just pointing at him without making sound. Aegis adopts a defensive pose just in case. Before he can reach Murdok an eerie fog descends on the entire site. So thick you cannot see your hand in front of your face. After about 30 seconds it starts to lift and Murdok is nowhere to be seen. Aegis is saddened by that as he wanted a chance to talk to this mysterious being. However he hasn’t got long to dwell on it as Wraith reminds him why he is there in the first place. Aegis fought him off but is still treading carefully and checking all the shadows which gives Wraith far too many chances to recover after any offensive bursts. Unfortunately the outcome had become secondary to the emergence of Murdok. For what it’s worth they fought a great battle and accumulated 6 tokens each before Aegis grabbed a cinder block and smashed it over Wraith’s head. He then pins Wraith on the spot. No pause to celebrate for Aegis. Back at base he barges right past Trisis who wanted an interview. He simply says “sorry Trisis, I got to go and see the Ravagers urgently”.
Archon beats Wolf in a Nightmare Matrix match. The first ever match of its type and it’s set to become Wolf’s new favourite type of match. Injuries couldn’t stop him turning out. As we know he’d crawl over broken glass to wrestle. Archon may not be everyone’s cup of tea but fair play to him for stepping out of his comfort zone. The match creates some incredible hallucinations throughout. The ring appeared to be spinning violently on numerous occasions. Then we saw dozens of mirror images of Wolf at one point. A little while later they appeared to be wrestling at the top of a huge mountain which really freaked Archon out. There were also regular bursts of flashing lights and sudden bouts of sleepiness that affected both combatants. It must of been like hell in there with everything going on. Archon seemed to be getting the worst of it. However he somehow survives it all including a painful stint in SAVAGE FACE CLAW. A huge turning point comes as Wolf suddenly clutches his ears as the matrix plays notes that only dogs can hear. Drives him crazy and allows Archon to get on offence. Even though he was in worse condition he goes for THE RIOT ACT (second time in the match) and with Wolf’s injuries it was enough to grab a significant victory. Archon later brags “I am too psychologically strong to be affected by the matrix and I vow to remain unbeaten in them”. For Wolf it’s been a very mixed start as a villain. Since beating Mandrill handily in the opening show of the year he has now suffered alarming losses to Grovel and Archon.
Warfare beats Trench in an epic Centra Coffin match. Emotional match as the two former friends and partners square off. The whole break up had quite an effect on Warfare. Now a chance to come out of his shell and dump Trench in that coffin in a metaphor for their friendship being dead. It becomes a cracking match up with so much action. Far too many to mention. Trench was the better wrestler for most of it. Winning big time. Only he cannot manage to get the huge frame of Warfare into the coffin. Even a run in from Wraith fails to help. Just as they tried to close the lid on Warfare his powerful arms forced it open. Wraith was then ordered to leave. This forms part of Warfare’s surging comeback. Despite a precarious pin rating he makes Trench’s final moments in the match a living hell. The crowd is on its feet as performs THE BIG PAYBACK again and signals it’s time to try and dump Trench into the casket. Kicking him like a piece of trash over to it. Trench falls off the apron into the coffin. He weakly tries to resist. However with Warfare’s huge upper body pushing down there was no chance. The lid goes down and Warfare takes it. Oftentimes Warfare shuns the spotlight. Only this time he seems to enjoy and even interacts with some fans. This could be just what he needed to bring him out of his shell.
Painmaster downs Max Shield in a Cosmic Cage match. Painmaster is bragging cage matches are his speciality having defeated Corporal Aegis in one at CENTRA PERENNIAL. Aegis is counting on Max to burst his bubble here. He says of Max “I am confident he’ll do better than I did with all his experience. In fact I am confident Max can win the Heavyweight belt this year and it’ll make me just as happy as if I did it. He’s a great friend and always puts the team first”. Sadly Max flatters to deceive yet again. In a long battle he never really put Painmaster in enough trouble. Painmaster, on the other hand, buoyed by his recent success looked very hungry. He managed to get Max into THE TORTURE RACK and held it in place until he was sure it had done enough damage to make his escape from the cage an easy one. To make it more humiliating he chooses to climb out the cage rather than walk out of the door. Poor Max just didn’t have the strength left to stop him at all. What a start it’s been to 2011 for Painmaster. He’s looking unstoppable especially in cage matches.
Paragon, Enigma and Dreggs defeated Bloodline, Prodigy and Grunge by DQ in a match where no managers are allowed at ringside. Grunge replaces the moody Mace at last minute. Nobody on Team CPC is making any comments about it or being involved in a 6 man tag match. Although cannot imagine any single one is happy. Certainly Bloodline and Prodigy want to be pushing forwards with their singles aspirations but they would never dare to question Thantos. It’s not much better on the other side though with Paragon being an equally reluctant participant. By far the most active guy in the match was Enigma. He missed ENIGMA SUICIDA when in the ring with Prodigy. Could have been fatal but Prodigy failed to capitalise. Enigma bounced back well and had Grunge struggling. Sadly the lack of managers did nothing to stop the DQ threat as Grunge saw fit to try and stop the pressure he was under by taking a swing at Enigma with his guitar. This triggered a brawl amongst everybody and things just got very messy. Not a match anybody will be telling their grandkids about.
Malice and Overkill dismantled Animen Invasion. The Gladiators consider the Animen a nuisance that still needs dealing with. You wouldn’t want to be Son of Ram or Antak faced with the Gladiators in their current mood. However they are, Son of Ram in particular, convinced they are ready to win a feud their predecessors couldn’t all those years ago. Time has probably blurred things a little as I don’t remember the Gladiators ever truly beating the Animen. It was all very even and both teams had their moments. With no SUDDEN DEATH meetings between the teams there was no real point of reference. Anyway I am rambling. That was then and this is now. The Gladiators may of made hard work of Animen Invasion in the past time but this time they destroyed them. Son of Ram got finished off by Malice’s FIELDS OF MALICE. He was essentially on his lonesome after Antak had earlier been beaten to a pulp by Overkill.
Cutting Edge overcame Living Dangerously. Leaving the Hitmen hasn’t made Tough Guy up his game. He is still fond of a drink and regularly doesn’t get up til noon. Often wondering what planet he is on. Sniper won’t want him showing her up as they face another mixed tag team in the form of Amazonia and Blade going under the cool moniker of Cutting Edge. Especially as this is also a groundbreaking moment. The first ever intergender tag team match. Luckily cometh the hour he is pretty switched on and gives an acceptable performance. They all do. Neither gender is afraid to mix it up with the other gender and in fact it’s a pin against the opposite sex that ends it. Sniper was uncharacteristically sloppy when facing up against Blade. It’s a case of snooze you lose as she switches off and gets wiped out by a Flying Missile Shot. Blade is a bit hesitant to cover but there’s nothing in the rules against it. Lorelei urges him to go for the pin and despite the delay to do so it still yields the three count.
Ninja Assassins outclass Desolation Factor. Rack is still hot after his heroics at CENTRA PERENNIAL. He tossed both Ninjas around like they were rag dolls that night. Reynard B. Guile said the reason his team misfired so badly that night was because he wasn’t at ringside “Sam added the Titan Death stipulation in at the last second. It was blatant cheating”. So now it is down to B. Guile to make good on his claims that he is the greatest manager ever seen and win belts with all the talent now at his disposal. He is deeply satisfied by what he sees here. The Ninja Assassins are in far better form and drive Desolation Factor mad with their clever switches. They then have some really strong offence against Ruin and manage to get him pinned after DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. Rack burst in trying to make a pin save only to be stopped in his tracks by Hydrax. Outside the excited B. Guile screams out “this truly is the start of the great comeback”. His luck has definitely changed as he even survives a close shave with Commando Sam who tried to take him out with an atomic drop as he struggled to contain his anger. B. Guile inadvertently caught Sam with an uppercut as he raised his arms aloft in celebration.
Skinhead pummelled Terminus. Rumour that Anaxis was going to valet for the Rocketmen as part of her servant role doesn’t come to be. Johnny Rocket leads Skinhead out who is hoping to get revenge here. He lost when they met at CENTRA PERENNIAL after Terminus put on a masterclass. This time it’s completely different though. Skinhead was like a man possessed. Takes him just a couple of minutes to lay Terminus out with BRASS NUCKS. Thantos protests the illegal manner of the victory only to be drowned out by Johnny Rocket. To make matters worse Terminus picks up a one card injury as Skinhead decked him a second time for trying to carry on the fight after recovering. Terminus looked like a boxer being knocked out as his legs turned to jelly and he then went down.
Genocide too wild for Tortured Soul. Genocide butts heads with Tortured Soul again. This time hoping to crush him/it like he should of done first time around. The problem with facing a zombie like Tortured Soul is it takes a lot of punishment for any pain to register. He/it might be slow and weak by wrestling standards but is extremely hard to hurt. It’s more of the same again only this time Genocide does eventually manage to win. It took a berserk pounding assault to do it. In the aftermath Tortured Soul laid motionless for a few seconds and then just creepily sat up and then got to his feet. Genocide looked about ready to start another ruck until Lorelei, wielding a surprising level of influence, called him off. Tortured Soul then trudges off obediently behind Maleph.
Vyper beats Splatter in a crazy match. Love it when former partners square off for the first time. It’s billed as a battle of bad guys. Splatter has been shooting his mouth off all week calling Vyper a circus freak who should keep company with weirdos like the Clones and Theatre of Pain. He then warns that if Vyper dares to bring any snake near him it will meet a grisly fate and be beaten to death with Arsenal. Trouble is he is finding it harder to back up that sort of talk. Vyper is still in his prime whilst Splatter, after over two decades in the ring, is showing wear and tear. He’s still very dangerous but doesn’t hit quite as hard as he once did. One thing of note was that Vyper has only just shaken off an injury which may of restricted his training. Although the way he began suggested this wasn’t an issue. He was relentless in the punishment and using his superior speed to keep Splatter clutching at thin air. Not needing long until using his finisher. If he thought that would be enough then he was wrong. That was far too easy. Krakan ensures Splatter stays in the match and with a second bite of the cherry he came back hard. Managing to bloody Vyper with MEET ARSENAL. Two can play Krakan’s game and the Terrorists run in with an attack of their own. The ref seemed too scared to call a DQ. Just lets it all happen. Splatter didn’t have enough in the tank to start over and begins to get dominated again. We see VYPER’S SIDESHOW once again and this time Krakan’s interfering is stopped as the Terrorists crack their whips to force him back. Vyper pins Splatter and then disrespectfully pulls his mask off to reveal his mangled face for a moment. To add insult to injury he then lets a snake slither across Splatter’s beaten carcass. Of course this won’t be the end of this. I foresee some hardcore battles ahead for these two.
Dark Justice pinned Scion Nexus. Now it’s Scion’s turn to have a singles match. He was on fire initially. Dazzling moves all over the place. That was until he overshot a deathjump. Possibly because of a nudge from Krakan. As if that wasn’t controversial enough Justice then smashes Scion with ROD OF JUSTICE and gets away with it. Dragonmaster lost his rag on commentary as Scion was pinned shouting out “surely the ref had to of seen that, I’ve never seen such incompetent officiating”. Later Scion shows the same noble qualities as his father by not moaning “I have to take it on the chin, shouldn’t have put myself in a position like that around those guys”.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1157 -1160)
Champions:
* GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Rising Sun (Top Contender: Thunder) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: Transformer) * GWFC Centra Champ: Mayhem (Top Contender: Painmaster) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Sniper (Top Contender: Hunger)
Latest News:
The emergence of Murdok is a huge talking point and has prompted for Phantast to speak out “everyone thinks I am not to be trusted but now people are trying to sully my name by associating me with Murdok it’s time to speak out. I stand on the side of good against evil. If the Ramparts would have me then I would be proud to manage them this year”. Mandrill has already tried to ally himself with Murdok by convincing him the Ravagers are the true intruders and responsible for the Plague. Murdok believes him and has declared war on the ROC. Some are calling it a holy war. However Murdok is wary of letting Mandrill get too close to him. He was the leader of ancient civilisation and will answer to nobody.
Unfortunately that event overshadowed the incredible moment of Rising Sun beating Mandrill for the Heavyweight belt. At the time that brought a lot of relief to the masses as Mandrill’s political power seems intrinsically linked to his success in the GWFC. Rising Sun becomes one of a rare breed of wrestlers to of held all the titles at one time or another. Although his Centra/Interplanetary reign is often overlooked for not managing at least one successful defence. In an emotional scene the other Titans minus Meteor joined him in the ring to celebrate the moment. Even Dragonmaster left the commentary booth to hug his old pal. Rising Sun already knows who will be first in line to challenge him as Thunder has been named as the top contender.
Commando Sam lobbies the GWF to start booking Hardcore Titan Death matches. The match type was used just once in the entirety of 2110. He’ll get his wish on SUPER SUNDAY SHOWDOWN as the Code Enforcer and Euritar meet one-on-one for the first time.
Sticking with Sam as he is also walking around embarrassed after Reynard B. Guile gave him a black eye during the Ninja Assassins-Desolation Factor match. B. Guile didn’t even realise what he’d done at the time. Sam is going off the deep end over the littlest things. He literally exploded during an interview when asked about the shiner and why he appeared to be wearing make up to try and conceal its severity.
Mace chastises Grunge for Disorder X failing to beat Twin Blood for the tag belts. He then no showed the 6 man tag match he was booked on at ANTILIA ARMAGEDDON and has now challenged Grunge to a Falls County Anywhere match to blow off steam. Thantos has no problem with it as “sometimes internal problems are best dealt with a good old fashioned ruck”.
Anaxis returns to Team CPC after a month of serving Nora Pelf. She speaks of a terrible ordeal and claims she was abused by the entire team. Johnny Rocket says “that’s bullsh*t, we treated her with nothing but respect. In fact we gave her so much time off as it was just a gimmick for the match. We didn’t really expect her to serve us”.
Outside all the drama surrounding the ROC and what to make of Murdok they have another ambition. Corporal Aegis declares that he would like one of the team to win and wear the Centra belt. Some citizens of Centra hold this belt in higher esteem than the Heavyweight belt because it bears the name of their great civilisation. Mandrill has cottoned onto this and also declared an ambition for his team to win the belt too and that it will be renamed to the Colonizer belt. He will get that opportunity quicker than the ROC as Painmaster’s incredible form has seen him move into top contender spot. As we know Mayhem is the sitting champ but unlike other villain teams Mandrill has no problem with ruffling the feathers of the Gladiators.
Just when you think a team or collection of individuals couldn’t go down in your estimations anymore the Brymstonians take a team bonding trip to Primus. Setting fires randomly and beating up any primitives that are unlucky enough to cross their path. Worryingly Wolf seems to be the ringleader and enjoying himself greatly. If news of his behaviour ever reached Dimension K there would be shock. We can only hope he works this out of his system before they return. That’s if they ever do. Sticking with Wolf and despite losing the first ever Nightmare Matrix match he loved the mind tricks it played it on him and is vowing to wrestle as many of these matches as he can in the coming months. During the match he thought he was wrestling a Tyrannosaurus Rex at one point and was slamming it into the mat. It was in his words “an amazing experience”.
Finally intergender tag matches have begun. A slow start as Cutting Edge won a low key match over Living Dangerously. Maybe one day I’ll give consideration to adding an intergender tag title at some stage. Although I am always wary of flooding the fed with too many titles and partly a reason why I retired things like the Cruiserweight and Heavy Metal titles in the past.
INJURED – Terminus (1), Wolf (2); SUSPENDED – none
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
PAINMASTER - It would be remiss of me not to mention Rising Sun here. That was a hell of an achievement to beat Mandrill for the belt. However Painmaster’s rise to the upper echelons has been nothing short of incredible. He looked like he might be cast off by the Colonizers last year but dramatic cage victories over Aegis and Max Shield mean he is the hottest wrestler around and back in the inner circle. Now he is in with a chance of delivering Mandrill the Centra belt as he steps forward to challenge Mayhem.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
TRANSFORMER - This monstrous team continues to terrorise and fall flat in equal measure. More of the same this month as they recover to tear apart the Ravagers. They now move onto an unlikely shot at the gold held by the seemingly unbeatable Twin Blood. It’s the kind of match they might cause an upset in. Just don’t expect them to hold onto the belts for very long if they do pull it off.

CARD 1161 – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS:
Blazing Skull defeated Buck Steele in a Lava Pit match. The natives are restless. Maybe some of them recognise Blazing Skull as the Brymstonians recently paid an unscheduled visit to Primus just so they could set random things alight. Genocide serves to irritate them further. In keeping with his unpredictable behaviour he ignores the pit containing Blazing Skull and runs at the primitives. A horde of them swarms all over him. Then he bursts out knocking them in different directions like tenpins before jumping down into the pit. One of the primitives falls in with him. Even the evil Blazing Skull is taken aback as it is thrown forcefully into a wall by Genocide and knocked out. The match carries on around its lifeless body amid deafening grunts from more primitives. They were now circling almost the entire pit. Suddenly a dramatic thing happens as Genocide shrinks in size and reverts to Buck Steele. That’s never happened before. Blazing immediately grows in confidence as soon as that happens. Buck desperately tries to bash himself into side of the pit to trigger a change back. Nothing doing though. He would have to fight as Buck. Did pretty well as it goes and had a couple of escape attempts only to either slip or find the path too blocked. The main initiative was handed back to Blazing as a result of one of these failed escapes. Buck was thrown back and fell awkwardly. It then came down to who had the better cage rating at that time as to who recovers first. Of course that was Blazing and he set about really trying to hurt Buck to give himself the best chance of getting out the pit by taking his time. He chooses to suplex Buck right into the side. A ferocious impact indeed. It allowed Blazing all the time needed as he found a steep path out. Despite slipping a couple of times he was able to clamber out for a fortunate win purely due to the fact he’d avoided facing Genocide. Back inside the pit Buck started to twitch. Before he could be rescued his body morphs back into Genocide and he angrily gets to his feet. He leaves the pit under his own steam. Ignores the protected walkway for the wrestlers and punches right through the primitives.
Mad Jester Clone upsets Rising Sun in a non-title match. Strange match for Rising Sun to be involved in although it was signed before he became the Heavyweight champion. The Titans have had a bit of a rivalry with the Clones in the early part of this year. Anyway Rising wants to be a fighting champion and take on all challenges. He looks supremely confident and demonstrates brilliant hand to eye co-ordination by firing out lightening fast chops. No hint of a title winning hangover at first. Then it begun to alarmingly unravel as the original Mad Jester starts interfering. Lord Nexus protests with the ref but refuses to drop down to their level and get involved. You could see Rising Sun looking at him for help after Jagged Edge Standing Kick decks him yet again. Then when Rising was tied in the ropes awaiting A DEAD MAN’S VERSE Lord Nexus still did nothing. The ref missed it entirely as he was trying to deal with the other Mad Jester. All he saw was Rising being pinned and obediently slid in to make the three count. Rising Sun needs to pick himself up fast. His first title defence is imminent and will be against Thunder. It’s no surprise the Gladiators decide to give Rising a little taster of what lies ahead as they pay him a post match visit. Both Thunder, Brute and Spike forcibly backed him into a corner in the locker room area. Nobody interferes with the Gladiator business. Even the bolder types like Desolation Factor who were in the vicinity. Lord Nexus now tries to help Rising Sun only to get stopped by Spike and held in a full nelson. Titan Attack would surely of assisted if they had still been at the venue but they split shortly after their opening match. Thunder and Brute manage to remove the Heavyweight belt from Rising’s possession. It is used as a tool to smash Rising down onto the floor. Thunder then tries it on for size and even takes a selfie. He then utters “looks good” and disrespectfully then tosses it back onto Rising who was still on the floor. Amid total silence the Gladiators then all depart. Someone’s got to stand up to them!
Painmaster beats Corporal Aegis again only this time it’s by count-out. Aegis has been itching to get back in the ring with Painmaster ever since CENTRA PERENNIAL. Painmaster says they should wrestle another cage match where he is making a reputation for himself. It doesn’t get booked as one though. Tellingly Rouser is not with Painmaster. Either he took too much of a beating from Tocsin earlier or Mandrill still doesn’t see Painmaster as important enough to afford him a ringside companion. Aegis could be forgiven for being off his game due to worries over the emergence of Murdok. He suffers a really torrid start as he’s put in THE TORTURE RACK twice. Having survived though he improves and comes close to his finisher after Opening Salvo. Painmaster manages to avoid falling victim unwittingly as he falls out the ring. Aegis huffs and puffs in trying to build on that. He then comes off worse in an out of ring brawl as Rouser creeps to ringside and hands Painmaster his sign with which to smash Aegis with. The ref, who won’t cover himself in glory later either, misses what went on. Aegis is stumbling around and falls over just as he was looking like he might get back in the ring. Sadly suffering a count-out loss as a result. Maybe he needs to take Phantast up on his offer to manage the ROC to try and help improve the fortunes of the struggling team. So far this year they’ve suffered countless losses.
Desolation Factor over Cygnus Strikeforce by DQ. Starts with Mangus making a big song and dance about the recent machete incidents calling for Commando Sam to be banned. Accuses his old ally, Morpheus, of being soft. Sam defiantly stands his ground. He is still sporting a black eye from last weeks incident with Reynard B. Guile. Mangus warns Sam that if chooses to hang around then he will receive the brand of Cygnus. Always nice to start a match amid such a hostile atmosphere. It does end up going very long either. Desolation Factor threatened to roll over Cygnus Strikeforce until Rack makes a mistake and nearly gets himself pinned after CYGNUS STRIKEFORCE. On then finding himself outside the ring Mangus, who was determined to get involved, comes at him with some Cygnus Brass Knuckles. Trying to knock him out. This triggered an almighty great brawl which took some sorting out. The final verdict of the ref was to disqualify Cygnus Strikeforce.
Tocsin crushed Rouser in only 3 moves. Tocsin starting life as a ROC member in low key matches as Corporal Aegis thinks he is rusty. Rouser comes out with yet another sign. This one says ‘Tocsin Stinks’. Quite literally. Tocsin has never cared about his personal hygiene though. In fact his opening move is to throw Rouser into a turnbuckle and try to smother him with the armpit. That immediately knocked the stuffing out of Rouser and just two moves later he was submitting to a Colonizer Claw Grip. What was bonkers about it was that Rouser later broke silence on Spacebook to brag about a successful wrestling debut.
Titan Attack defeated Society of Death by DQ. The two Titans continue to alternate between singles and tag matches. Tonight they are back together to deal with the unpredictable Splatter and Mutant. On paper should be pretty easy. However they are not taking anything for granted. Warm up routines going on in the ring with Lord Nexus right up to the last second. Then Society of Death comes out and even after all these years Krakan’s disdain for Lord Nexus is as high as ever. He has blinkers on as is consumed with trying to engage Nexus. Ignoring everything going on in the ring. Missing a golden opportunity for his team to grab a win by failing to distract after Splatter uses MEET ARSENAL on Ursa Major.

CARD 1162 – TERRONAUT TOWERS:
On paper some bland bookings but what do I know. This was a cracking a show. At least half the matches 3* and above.
Ladies champ, Sniper, barely survives against Hunger as she wins by DQ. Expecting a bog standard match for Sniper as she can do no wrong whenever she steps in the ring. Even against a dangerous opponent like Hunger. This marked her 77th consecutive card as the ladies champion. However it turns out to be the closest she has come to losing the title in as long as anyone can remember. There were early warnings as Sniper came within a whisker of being pinned after being twice nailed with Hunger’s DEMONESS DDT. Dealing with Serpentine too was always going to be a problem. Luckily Sniper was able to gather herself and surged back like the great champion that she is. She then looked the likely winner after an offensive wave that lasted several minutes and included her trusty TARGET PRACTICE move. Hunter herself only just kicked out after one of these. Of course that failure to get the pin almost came back to bite her (excuse the pun). Hunger came on strong again and administered ABDOMINAL HUNGER from which Sniper just about snagged a foot on the ropes at the last millisecond. Hunger was insatiable in her appetite and did it again. Only this time there was no fooling the ref and on inspecting the bite marks on Sniper’s costume reached the conclusion of foul play and disqualified Hunger. A sigh of relief as Sniper was surely not going to be able to muster another kick out after that. The frustrated Hellions threatened to continue with a savage post match beating. That was until Tough Guy came out to help Sniper. For once he could be counted on and cleared the ring. The Hellions stood outside snarling and hissing for a while before giving up the ghost and leaving.
Pegasus easily beats the Soulwatcher. Pegasus is mortified he’s got to face this guy again. Last month he signed to face the Soulwatcher just so he could knock someone about. That was far from the case and Pegasus embarrassingly lost by DQ. So he’s now trying to make the Soulwatcher wish he hadn’t won and also pay for delaying Pegasus getting back to the top and into the main event slots. It was much more like it from Pegasus. No showboating at all and he closes out the contest in a mere 3 moves. The poor Soulwatcher didn’t know what hit him and was finished off via PROJECT PEGASUS. Pegasus draws crowd heat as he then spits on the downed Soulwatcher before kicking him out into the floor whilst saying “you don’t deserve to be in the same ring as the Great One”.
Ursa Major upsets Prodigy. Much respect for Ursa Major and his little singles push. A guy who has experienced the full gamut of highs and lows in his career but never gives up. Prodigy underestimated him from the start. Too busy gawking at a busty fan to show Ursa Major any respect. He arrogantly compliments her ‘big knockers’ thinking he is being charming. She slaps him and say “I’ll knock you out in a minute!” As Prodigy stands their stunned it gets worse as Ursa Major then sends him flying straight into Thantos with a dropkick. That moment really set the tone for Ursa Major. Although Prodigy recovers to dish out some lethal looking offence it’s not enough to disrupt Ursa Major’s rhythm. A snake eyes roll several minutes in means a 360 off the top rope by Ursa Major brings him an upset victory. Considering how hot Prodigy had been this makes it a big deal. Ursa Major describes it “as the biggest victory of my singles career”.
Rack pulverised Daeman. New ways to cheat as the Ninja Assassins are trying to use their switch in a singles setting. After a torrid start Daeman managed to switch and Hydrax entered after hiding under the ring without anyone knowing. It certainly surprised Rack to see who he thought was Daeman coming back with such gusto. Rack managed to get the upper hand again and used RACKED AND RUINED twice only to be foiled by outside interference both times. The second time the Ninjas revealed their hand as it was Daeman who saved Hydrax. Rack dealt with them both though and smashed their heads together before tossing Hydrax. It meant despite the switching Rack started and finished against Daeman as he used his powerful finisher, adapted for singles, again and grabbed the win.
Rigel Warriors shock Theatre of Pain. Feud has its roots from a few years ago when Comedy regulary made fun of Meteor’s attempts to be a wrestler. However Meteor is one laughing at the end of this one. Not that he contributed that much as Lance At-Las did most of the heavy lifting. He was in great form dealing with both members of Theatre of Pain. Using MARS MANHANDLER to put Tragedy in trouble. When Comedy tried to gatecrash the pin with a flying elbow Lance simply rolled out the way. It meant Comedy came down on his own partner. The ref then ushered Comedy back to the corner whilst Lance simply covered again and patiently waited for the ref to come back over and make the three count.
Grovel and Blade over Unspeakable Horror by DQ. Shame this wasn’t Cutting Edge facing Unspeakable Horror. Being saved for another day. Possibly the next supercard. Nonetheless gripping stuff. Decent spot involved Blazing Skull trying to beat Grovel. He tried DEATH BY FIRE and BURNING TOUCH only to be foiled by Lorelei risking life and limb. Of course the outside influences were always going to play a big part in the match and when Blade later bailed out under heavy bombardment from Anarchy it prompted Maleph to attack and bring a premature end to the bout. Looked like things might escalate for a short period afterwards. Luckily security were on high alert for this particular match and diffused the situation quickly.

CARD 1163 – SUPER SUNDAY SHOWDOWN – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
There’s never a lazy Sunday in the GWFC as another exciting card hits the screens.
Thunder delivers a rampaging performance to beat Rising Sun and become the new Heavyweight champion. After a forgettable 2010 in and out of the ring the Gladiators are now ominously circling the main belts. Mayhem’s Centra belt pales in significance when compared the Heavyweight and Tag belts. Thunder has had opportunities before to take that step up to greatness only to come up short. This represented his greatest chance yet. Vengeance is no longer getting pushed due to the murder conviction hanging over him and with all due respect to Rising Sun there have been tougher champions to beat. Brute was also providing an intimidating presence and would almost certainly get involved if needed to tip the scales in Thunder’s favour. Unfortunately Rising Sun would get no such assistance from Lord Nexus who remains a firm believer in coaching his guys and not getting physically involved. He’s not as anal about it as someone like Archon but is cut from the same cloth. There was a slight worry about Rising Sun’s confidence having slipped to a non-title loss to the cloned Mad Jester just a couple of weeks ago. That was very much in evidence as Thunder took control from the very start. The intensity of his offence gave Rising very little chance to build anything of his own. Thunder was very quick to counter when this happened. Lord Nexus tried his best to encourage Rising but it had little effect. There was just an air of inevitability about the outcome. Perhaps the main criticism of Rising was his reluctance to leave the ring when he could. A couple of times he probably might have been able to roll outside the ring to get a much needed breather. However the Titan in him refused to take the easy way out. Thunder’s relentless offence culminated in THE TEMPEST and Rising couldn’t kick out in time. Finally Thunder had delivered on all that promise to win the big one. As he paraded round the ring with it to show Aethran dominance he would have been unaware of something happening. For the first time in years I had a chance to roll on Splatter’s original lottery chart. Lady Luck was shining on Thunder though as an even roll meant Brute intercepted. He managed to smash Splatter with the Aethran Casque and sent him running off like a scalded dog. So now the Gladiators have the two singles belts and if the rumouring is correct Malice and Overkill might be next in line for a shot at the tag belts. What a turnaround it’s been in 2111 for them. Hopefully this quick loss of the belt has no lasting impact on Rising Sun and he’ll come again very soon.
Tag champs, Twin Blood, withstand a tough challenge from Transformer. A chance for Doomsayer’s monstrous creations to finally make a mark. Their performances have ranged from devastating to terrible. Twin Blood know they need to be careful. They are getting so close to having the longest belt reign in tag history and don’t want to blow it against a team that on paper they should be beating. If they do go onto get the record the sky’s the limit. It’s still some way off but maybe they can even think about trying to beat the longest reign in the history of any belt (unless Sniper gets there first). That honour belongs to the legendary Matador of M83 who managed a stupendous 96 cards as the Interplanetary champion back in the late 2090s. Twin Blood does manage to edge closer to these marks as they negotiate this defence. However it wasn’t without some very hairy moments. Transformer definitely brought one of their better performances. Their best moment coming when Nth Degree smashes Dreggs with TWO HEADS ARE BETTER. Having already sustained some fatigue Dreggs looked extremely vulnerable at this point. That was Johnny Rocket’s cue to get involved. Unlike some of the other hero managers he never has any moral issue on interfering. His loud distraction serves to not only stop Nth Degree going for the pin but also allowed Dreggs to recover and hit Sleeze with a double team move. They chose SEEING DOUBLE and almost got the pin there and then. This was the big turning point in the match as Twin Blood grows in stature and its Dreggs who was one the one who did the business for them. He uses DREGGS OF DEFEAT to get Nth Degree beaten whilst Sleeze covers the pin to prevent Monad or Doomsayer from disturbing it. There was more to it all though as Malice and Overkill march to ringside as soon as it was over. Everyone fears an attack but instead it was to issue a challenge for the belts. Malice was the mouthpiece and said if Twin Blood or Johnny Rocket refuses then they will have start watching their backs 24/7 from now on.
Genocide destroyed Anarchy in a Total Anarchy match. Been a while since one of these dangerous matches has been booked. Although it should be a speciality of Anarchy’s his record in them isn’t actually that good. Genocide makes a mockery of treading carefully as he rampages towards the ring. He is getting wilder with each passing card. Tonight he is shaking the ropes so violently they look like they might get ripped clean out the turnbuckle sockets. It took Anarchy hitting with a chair shot to even get Genocide to acknowledge him. Genocide is so hyped up the pain barely registers. The only concern was that he might turn into Buck Steele which cost him in his last match against Buck Steele. Thankfully that doesn’t happen here though and after ripping the chair away he pretty much wipes the floor with Anarchy both inside and outside the ring. Plenty of damage was done in the ring including CORPUS GENOCIDE. That would have probably beaten Anarchy if not for the rules of match decreeing any pin must happen outside. Eventually Genocide thinks rationally and chucks Anarchy over the top rope. First he reverse suplexes Anarchy onto a seat vacated by a frightened fan. Then he drags him back onto the runway. Anarchy stumbles around barely knowing where he is and inevitably steps onto a mine which explodes in dramatic effect. Anarchy falls clumsily to the floor there is even smoke emanating off the bottom of his boots. Genocide rushes over and leaps onto him for the cover and take a popular win.
Wolf defeated Maelstrom in a thrilling Nightmare Matrix match. No question of Wolf saving himself for next weeks big match with Ventross. He snarls into the camera whilst being interviewed “I never think about tomorrow, I can’t wait to enter the matrix again”. The matrix had barely been active when the first weird image was conjured up. Maelstrom was imagining that he had a tattoo of the American flag appear on his lower arm and it was driving him crazy. He resorted to trying to gnaw at his own arm. Not that things were much easier on Wolf as he deals with an illusion that all his past enemies were entering the ring to attack him. Was weird to see famous figures of the past such as Bounty Hunter among them. I could go on and on with stuff like this as there were just so many twists and turns. Both had numerous failed attempts with their finishers and the pendulum just swung one way and then the other constantly. When the end finally came Wolf had 6 tokens and Maelstrom had 7. As another disturbing hallucination involving flashing lights manifested itself against Maelstrom Wolf had the chance to try SAVAGE FACE CLAW again. Only a double 6 would save Maelstrom and that didn’t happen. Wolf managed to win his first Nightmare Matrix match. He was physically and emotionally drained after that. Some fans did start cheering him again. It helped that Wolf was facing a villain tonight although that last remaining support is hanging by a thread.
Archon dominates Vengeance in a Nightmare Matrix match. Archon handled the terrifying hallucinations this match can go throw up impressively last time against Wolf leading to him bragging about his mental toughness. Could he cope against someone sick as Vengeance who is possibly capable of murder? Surely it would be tough to cast any hallucinations to terrify Vengeance. Anyway the visions cast end up being very quite disturbing. Minor ones like Vengeance trying to speak and nothing but gibberish coming out to a very worrying one of Massacre appearing and actually trying to kill him with an ax. This threat of being beheaded was too much psychological stress even for Vengeance to handle. Archon got off very lightly and takes full advantage. Harnessing his new found aggression to smother Vengeance with all his submission moves and rack up the fatigue tokens fast. He is then able to end Vengeance’s suffering via ELBOW HYPEREXTENSION. Archon is looking very good in these matches and later gives himself the moniker of master of the matrix. Vengeance on the other hand looked very sorry for himself and was sweating profusely after the experience.
The Ravagers comes of age as they beat Malice and Overkill in a Hardcore Titan Death match. No way a match like this wasn’t going to happen despite main focus of the Ravagers being on the Colonizers. Ventross says “the Gladiators are almost as bad as the Colonizers”. Unfortunately based on their first few matches as a team in the fed they weren’t being given much chance. However they come of age with far and away their best performance so far. Maybe the Gladiators were too cocky as they spent much of this long match on the back foot. The Ravagers just wanted it far more. Malice was pretty much knocked out of the equation as he took so much punishment and was lucky not to be the one pinned as he endured both RAVAGER FACE DROP and RAVAGER SACK. It left Overkill to pretty much fend on his own. Looked like he might actually pull it off in a dramatic scene that had everyone gasping. Rankor showed his aggressive streak as he went and brought a table into the ring. Just about hauled the huge frame of Overkill onto it and prepared to hit a suicide dive from the top of the turnbuckle. However he took too long getting up there and Overkill recovered enough to move leaving Rankor to smash right through the table himself. Everyone thought that was the beginning of the end but Rankor somehow managed to get a defensive tag and Ventross came in guns blazing. A couple near pins followed until he showed phenomenal strength to execute a full nelson power bomb on Overkill. Done with such force that Overkill was winded and unable to kick out. Crowd went mad for the outcome. Commentary team were pretty excited too. Going slightly overboard with the superlatives for the Ravagers but I guess they are one of their own. Kind of.
Code Enforcer overcomes Euritar in a wild Hardcore Titan Death match. It might be Super Sunday Showdown but Euritar doesn’t bring his Sunday best at first. In this hardcore variation of a Titan Death match the Code Enforcer has the advantage and almost won in less than a minute. Euritar just about kicked out in time. He spends the next few minutes barely clinging on as the violence is too much to handle. It’s a testament to his excellent conditioning that was able to do so. However the match suddenly turns as things head outside the arena. Pictures being beamed back to the giant screen reveal the Code Enforcer throwing Euritar onto a space roamer only to try and then dive on top of him and miss. Euritar rolled off the bonnet and the Code Enforcer crashed onto the vehicle causing severe damage and glass breakages. This kickstarted Euritar and he now spent time in the ascendancy. His own version of HEADS WILL ROLL was used once back inside the ring and his spectacular Scorpius Suicide Kicks added to the damage. He looked to be getting very close to winning. However as he leapt towards the Code Enforcer an instinctive arm came up and grabbed him by the neck and he was then pulverised with a throat slam suplex. The Code Enforcer follows this with his own HEADS WILL ROLL. This was the fourth time Euritar had taken it and proved too much as he was pinned immediately after. Both finished up bloody and it had been a thriller. Plenty more good stuff to come between them as this feud has only just kicked off.
Maxine Babe has it pretty easy against Nora Pelf and wins by count-out. Nora has been pretty quiet of late but comes out of hiding to face her chief rival from last year. Maxine’s main feud this year is with Taechon although her dislike for Nora still exists. We all remember those hair versus hair matches and how entertaining they were. This was a bit more understated although the heat did ramp up as Maxine brought her hair stylist out with her. It was just a blatant way of someone to help with her DUDE’S CHOICE finisher. They played their part although Nora no sold it with a strong kick out. Maxine maintained control and was rarely having to roll on her defence. Nora tried to relieve the pressure by rolling out the ring where she then got into an altercation with the stylist. As insults were exchanged Nora suddenly hears the bell and realises she’s been counted out.
DARK MATCHES
Murdok makes a winning debut against Son of Ram. The fear factor Murdok is provoking across the dimension has lead to his debut match being kept off air. Son of Ram had been confident and looking forward to making a name for himself in singles. However when Murdok comes through the curtain he starts quaking in his boots. There’s no sugarcoating Murdok’s arrival. It’s a very disturbing time. He makes no noises as he goes about his business. Not much by way of wrestling skill but power in abundance to make up for it. Son of Ram offered very little resistance although it took quite a while for Murdok to beat him. The winning move when it came was a guillotine on ropes. He then quietly departs the ring and left Son of Ram to rot.
Enigma pinned Mike Fortune. Slightly demeaning to both guys to stick this on before the cameras go live. They don’t let it bother them and serve up a good match. Mike Fortune shades it on the offence. However he gets caught cold by a small package. The ref had sustained an injury after Fortune used THE HANGMAN. Annoyed by this he tried to revive the ref. Whilst he was doing this Enigma recovers and rolls him up from behind. The ref manages to make his count and the three is reached before the shocked Fortune can burst out. Fortune was fuming and laid the poor ref out again.

CARD 1164 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Painmaster beats Mayhem in a Cosmic Cage match to win the Centra belt. Painmaster might regret all his bragging about being a cage specialist as his big title shot at the Centra belt is placed in one. He’ll have to face the king of hardcore, Mayhem. Mandrill is on standby to christen the Colonizer belt should Painmaster win it. They have a quite incredible match. Easily five stars. It was because they were both just so kamikaze in their approach. They missed deathjumps galore. Mayhem fouled up his LEAP OF DOOM twice too. Despite that he still had numerous escape attempts. One particularly close one after an adapted version of DANGER ZONE. Had also drawn blood on Painmaster as a result of a Cranium Cracker. Painmaster gave as good as he got though and got Mayhem into THE TORTURE RACK three times during the course of it. Mayhem just refused to give in. The final application of the hold was a very long and torturous one. Painmaster follows it up with a Hammerlock Slam which shakes the whole cage. In true ‘win at all costs’ style he chooses to make a dash for the door rather than climb out and manages to make it to win the belt. As he held it aloft he looked like he’d been in a war. One now wonders on the fate of the belt given the earlier threats by Mandrill to rebrand it.
Mace gets the better of his partner Grunge in a Milky Way Falls County Anywhere match. Will this reboot the relationship or make things far worse? Mace makes no bones about his contempt for Grunge. In fact it’s a surprise it’s taken this long for them square off. Despite this Thantos maintains this is not the end of Disorder X. Fireworks go off immediately as during the introductions Mace barges Grunge as he walks past. Grunge responds by burying his guitar on Mace. His head goes right through the middle and he ends up wearing the thing as a collar. Grunge has a lot to say for himself at this point “you look like a loser, I’m the only reason this team wins any matches and tonight I’ll prove it by beating you”. Mace removes what’s left of the guitar and swings it at Grunge shattering into a thousand pieces. Almost immediately he throws Grunge out of the ring so the carnage could commence. Tables get broken. Chairs get bent. It’s pretty wild. Mace does most of the damage although Grunge does threaten from time to time. Eventually they end up brawling near the back of the venue where there is a gigantic hologram video screen made of fortified glass. Mace manages to pick Grunge and launch him into it via a running body slam. No getting up after that. Mace pins him, then spits on him before firing a kick into the side for good measure.
Wolf has to be at his best to see off Ventross. Don’t tell Rankor but Corporal Aegis was extremely impressed by Ventross on the last show and thinks he could also cut it as a very strong singles wrestler and urges him to try his hand. No way Ventross will abandon the Ravagers tag team although the chance to take on one of the worst elements in the GWFC is appealing. It’s surreal to hear Wolf getting booed by a crowd after over two decades as the most popular icon in the GWF. Despite his unpopular status there is no doubting that Wolf has a touch of Peter Pan about him. Not that he has never grown up but he doesn’t appear to be ageing. Or if he is then it’s at an extremely slow rate because he is still in his prime after all this time. What’s very disappointing is Wolf has never really allowed anyone to accompany him to the ring. Even Amazonia being there was quite rare. Yet in his new villain role he has no objections to Maleph. The winged demon was being a dangerous pest as usual. In fact Maleph played a pivotal part in keeping Wolf in the match with various out of ring attacks and also interference following SEVERED TIES by Ventross. The fact it came to that tells you everything about how Ventross performed. More than matching Wolf throughout. There can be no disgrace about his eventual loss which came via a Wolf Skullcrusher.
Max Shield and Rankor over Rebel Empire by DQ. Given the uneasiness that exists between Rankor and the rest of the ROC team is this link up a good idea? Max thinks working closely together might increase the trust. It’s also freed Ventross up for his single match (up next) without arousing too much suspicion in Rankor. Things get off to a chaotic start when Mandrill comes out to ringside instead of Rouser. Rankor warns him ‘no monkey business’ and it all kicks off. When things eventually settle into some wrestling it’s Max hogging the ring time for his team. You can see Rankor visibly getting agitated. Must be said though that Max was brilliant and you could see why he wouldn’t want to disrupt his momentum. He ended up absolutely flattening Nefarus with THE OMICRON FORCE (+6). Unfortunately he didn’t get the chance to pin him as Mandrill is straight in the ring attacking Max to cause the DQ. Vendetta soon joins him and as Max goes down they are both laying the boot in. Rankor reluctantly helps but lets Max take some punishment first. By grabbing a chair from outside he’s able to clear the ring. Later when Rankor was asked why he was slow to assist he simply said “I was angry with Max, he’s not a team player”. After a quick medical check up Max was okay although was very hurt to hear that from Rankor and suggests they team again and work the situation out. Have to see what happens.
Mutant beats Sniper by DQ. This was supposed to be Mike Fortune up against Sniper until he pulled out claiming injury. Krakan sends Mutant instead. Speculation by DM on commentary is that Fortune’s feigning it as doesn’t want to risk losing to a woman. He jokes “big girl’s blouse, wuss. Call him what you want. It’s all funny and what’s more it’s true if he cannot bring himself to face Sniper”. It’s a difficult match for Sniper. Being so close to Krakan. Plus she wasn’t happy with the Terrorists being with her. Didn’t really want them there but didn’t dare say anything. They just end up ruining the match as a spectacle. Always looking to attack Mutant and inevitably causing a disqualification.
Desolation Factor beat Ninja Assassins by count-out. They meet again. The Ninjas killed the heat of Desolation Factor by winning so easily at ANTILIA ARMAGEDDON. Surely it wouldn’t be so easy in this rematch. Although after a messy opening few minutes they did look to be closing in on victory. They got Ruin with DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. Daeman would surely of pinned him if not for Rack bulldozing the cover. Daeman skilfully wards him off with a well timed savatte kick. Rack falls through the ropes. Rather than continue on against Ruin Daeman goes after Rack some more only to get ambushed and counted-out.
