RUSH TV TAPING Tuesday January 6, 2009 HEW Arena; Huber Heights, OH ANNOUNCERS: "The Brain" Chris Kurtis & Les Thatcher (The camera opens up on HEW Owner J.L. Thrush sitting in his office with a written speech sitting on his desk.) J.L. Thrush: Hello, and Happy New Year from all of us at the Heartland Elite Wrestling promotion. There have been several changes that have taken place since the end of the year. First, if you go to the official HEW roster page, you will find that there are several wrestlers and teams that are no longer with the company. For one reason or another, all of these wrestlers and teams have been given their release by the Board of Directors. But with those releases, we're happy to announce that new faces have been brought in and are ready to go. The next item on the agenda is my announcement of all suspensions in the past year have been lifted, regardless of when the individual was suspended or the length of their suspension. Third, I'd like to announce that the HEW Arena has a new home, thanks to yours truly. We have moved from the old HEW Arena in Evansdale, Ohio to our new location in Huber Heights, Ohio, on the corner of Old Troy Pike and Taylorsville Rd. The new HEW Arena was the site at one time of the Furrow lumber yard. Next, it's my sad duty to report that commissioner Jaxon Breeze has announced his resignation, as the Board of Directors has not been well-too-pleased with the performance of his duties as of late. On that note, the Board of Directors has asked me to announce his replacement. This is a man I've known for a long time, mainly because we are both co-owners of the Independent Pro Wrestling Association. Therefore, it's my pleasure to announce that Tim Shaw has taken over the reins as the new general manager of HEW. Finally, the HEW championship committee has announced that starting this year, we're adding a new title known as the Tri-State Championship. Over this month, we'll be holding a 32-man tournament to determine our first Tri-State champion. All of the participants in this tournament will be drawn randomly from the singles talent roster, with the exceptions of HEW Heavyweight champion Hoss and HEW Television champion Race Steele. The tournament will happen not only on the Tuesday night RUSH program, but also on our newly added television show, WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARS. Unfortunately, fans, since we are now running two shows, we cannot afford to run 7 to 8 matches per show as we did last year, therefore we'll only be running four matches per show. Our monthly cyber pay-per-views will still run 10 to 12 matches. Hopefully with only 4 matches per show, we'll be able to showcase better storylines. As interest in HEW programming increases, we may look into increasing the number of matches per show in the future. With all of that said, let the HEW Tri-State championship tournament begin. HEW TRI-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT; ROUND 1:* Drake Younger pinned Matthew Justice with the DRAKE'S LANDING to advance to the second round. * Chris Carnage and Nate Flames were both disqualified following a brawl outside the ring. Because of this, Drake Younger earned a Bye into the third round of the tournament. * Eric Fallen pinned the "Random Hero" Nathan Fails with a dropkick to advance to the second round. * Ganger pinned "Big Daddy" Rog Cox with a deathjump cross-body block.
Be sure to join us tomorrow for the inaugural episode of WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARS, where the tournament for the HEW Tri-State championship will continue.

(I wasn't able to post this yesterday because the library where I have internet access was closed due to bad weather.) WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARS TV TAPING Wednesday January 28, 2009 HEW Arena; Huber Heights, OH ANNOUNCERS: "The Brain" Chris Kurtis & Les Thatcher [/b] * The Hybrids defeated the Irish Airborne when the "Ladies Delight Every Night" Jason Lyte pinned Dave Crist with the HYBRID THEORY.* Portia Perez pinned Neveah with the KOSHER PICKLE. After the match, she was attacked from behind by Amber O'Neal. Amber grabbed the mike from ring announcer Gumbo Malone and announced that she was the one that drove the car on October 31 after the See No Evil cyber pay-per-view, claiming that the reason she ran Portia down was because Portia stole her man, and that this Friday at the United We Stand cyber pay-per-view, she was going to finish the job and "take back what's hers." * HEW TRI-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT; QUARTER FINALS:
The "Barnestormer" David Barnes pinned Virus with the BARNESTORMER to advance to the semi-finals.[/ul]
Now that the semi-finalists have been determined for the HEW Tri-State title tournament, I can finally post the video promo for this Friday's United We Stand cyber pay-per-view.
