Thank you mate. Sometimes I think the write ups are too long and bit hard to stomach. But I get carried away. I always appreciate the kind and positive feedback.

CARD 935 – COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICON – FIRE ISLAND:
The Countdown show comes to one of the hottest places known. Deimos IG Arena is undergoing last minute work to ready it for the magnitude of GALACTICON. So Fire Island hosts and hopes to really ramp up the heat ahead of the big one. There are beach themed props everywhere, even the referees are wearing sunglasses. It’s got that red hot feel!
Ladies champ, Thrash, savages Amazonia in a cage match. Amazonia more than happy to enter the cage even though it favours Thrash. She confidently holds up her shield and tells Qualitar “I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a match made for tough women. Perfect way to prove my superiority over Thrash again”. When she goes out into the arena Thrash is already in the cage. Looking like a caged animal and hungry for blood. Amazonia copies something her mate Wolf has done many times. Ignoring the door and choosing to climb her way into the cage. Thrash climbs up to meet her from the inside. They end up grappling at the top. But they soon fall down into the cage. The turnbuckle breaking their fall. Thrash is first to rise and it heralds the beginning of a brutal beatdown on her hated enemy. Amazonia tries to give it her best shot but it’s clear that Thrash just wants it more. After a few minutes of heavy hitting she then smashes Amazonia with FEMME FATAL twice in a row and goes for the escape. Aethrans nearly always look to climb out the cage rather than choose easy methods like pins or walking out the door. As Thrash gets to the top Amazonia manages to get on her feet and stumble over. She climbs a couple of rungs and desperately reaches up to grab a foot. But Thrash gives a kickback that catches Amazonia right in the face possibly even breaking her nose. Amazonia staggers backwards and clutches her face. Thrash is now unhindered in her escape and maintains her tight grip on the belt. To add insult to injury Thrash takes a hold of Amazonia’s cherished shield and spits on it before leaving. Amazonia is furious with such an action and makes a pledge to pay Thrash back at GALACTICON by eliminating her at the Battle Royal that will open the show.
Tag champs, Frozen Fury lost to the Mercenaries by DQ, in a non-title match. Mercenaries not being put out to pasture just yet. Rebel Empire will be watching with great interest as to how this goes down. They were keeping themselves rested and fresh but Buck Steele and Blizzard reasoned it was better to do the opposite and have a match under their belts. Trouble is the risk of fatigue and injury was heightened. Especially against the likes of the Mercenaries who are not above carrying out random attacks if the mood fits. Interestingly Vigilante had asked his old partner, Dark Justice, to accompany them. Kind of a returning of the favour and more effective than Krakan. But he doesn’t want to lower himself to a supporting role and fails to show. He misses a great seesaw match. Both teams having lots of exciting moments. Finishers being attempted left, right and centre. The big surprise is amid all the hard hitting action is that Buck never transformed into Genocide. Ultimately it ended on a DQ as Blizzard fires off ICE ATTACK on Vigilante that leaves a massive bruise immediately visible on his torso. Post match sees the Mercenaries loud and brash. They speak (more like shout) at Qualitar “see we can still hang with the best”.
Wolf beats Terminus again, this time in a Lepus Stun Rod match. Terminus is 3-1 down so needs this to stay in touch. It’s for that reason he attacks with thundering fury right from the bell. Terminus uses the props by chucking sand in Wolf’s face. He also keeps watching the holster desperate to grab a rod. Poor Wolf is temporarily blinded and instinctively swiping at thin air but it’s going to take more than a few grains of sand to put him away. He’s in the form of his life. Fighting back on instinct and beginning to overwhelm Terminus. The rod plays its part with both having a spell with it but Wolf makes it count more. Even when Terminus executes HAMMERLOCK SLAM you still never thought Wolf was going to lose. He no sells the move and comes back hard. It took a few of them but his famed SAVAGE FACE CLAW comes through for him again. Wolf now has a very strong 4-1 lead. Only two more wins from the last five needed. With the likes of Barbed Wire Cage, 4 Weapons and Torture Chamber matches still to come things are only going to get more brutal but Wolf is the hot favourite.
Paragon handled Jack of Diamonds. Jack may of come up short in his Heavyweight title shot against Chaos but gets another unexpected chance to stay among the elite. All he’s got to do is beat Paragon! Next week he’s got a tag title shot at the CPC belts so he’s mega busy. Out of nowhere Reynard B. Guile skulks into the ring and proclaims he’s the guest ring announcer. That’s not the shocking part though. It’s that B. Guile is playing along with the theme by wearing sunglasses and mankini. He ignores the laughter and launches into a long announcement detailing all Paragon’s achievements and nicknames. On and on, blah, blah, blah. Jack breaks up the monotony by mockingly joking about B. Guile “quick, let’s have a whip round so Reynard can buy some new gear”. Steals a cap off a young fan’s head and starts offering it up for collections. Reynard screws his face and says Jack will now be made to pay for that by Paragon. Not sure Thantos gives a sh*t. In fact even he found it funny. Anyway Paragon wins after FINAL OVERTURE. He mostly had control but there was a very hairy moment where he only just kicked out after DIAMOND CUT and then needed assistance from Thantos after being hit with BLACK DIAMOND. He probably would of kicked out but Thantos wasn’t taking any chances. When Paragon got his finisher on Commander Sam tried to storm the ring. He had intended not to get involved at all but when Thantos started interfering that was his cue to do the same. But it didn’t work out. Paragon just wiped him out and went back to Jack to polish it off. Overall it was a professional performance from Paragon. Not overstretching himself ahead of GALACTICON proper but still doing all expected of him.
Alpha Force smacks Heracles around. Colussus a bit bummed that Alpha Force takes on Heracles ahead of his meeting with him at GALACTICON. He politely asks Alpha Force “don’t go injuring him. Leaving me without a decent match. He’s my rival to deal with”. The greater worry is Alpha Force easily wins and then Colussus fails to do so. That will make him look bad and do nothing to help his standing on the team. Heracles is enjoying the fact there is disharmony brewing. In a typically arrogant and chauvinistic pre match interview he says “Colussus may not be so dumb after all”. Then turns and threatens to slap Anaxis for not fanning him properly. The interview was being beamed out to the crowd so Alpha Force saw it. He hates poor treatment of the weaker sex even if it is Anaxis. Heracles barely emerged through the curtain onto the sandy runway when Alpha Force is upon him. Ends up dragging Heracles by his chest hair to the ring. Heracles had to follow or lose a big clump of it. Alpha Force then wraps one of those gold medallions round the neck to choke him. How is he getting away with it? The ref is too busy picking up dozens of beach balls thrown from the crowd and littering the ring. By the time his focus is on the bout Alpha Force has released. It’s uncharacteristic hardcore from Alpha Force but everyone loving it. Even Star Warrior. Poor Heracles gasps for air. Not the start he envisaged. But he sure can take some punishment. Even though Alpha Force mostly batters him Heracles hangs on through ALPHA STRIKE countless times and also TOMAHAWK THRUST. He was up to 6 tokens when the end mercifully came. It wasn’t all Alpha Force. At times the power of Heracles allowed a turnaround and he hit OLYMPIA once but these were brief moments at best. It would of been tough for anyone to of beaten Alpha Force in this mood. Wonder what Colussus made of it all? It will be a very different type of match with Heracles come GALACTICON with those 4 weapons of destruction on hand but he will be under pressure to emulate Alpha Force’s level of dominance.
Skinhead wins fast against Vyper. Terak keeps himself at ringside much to the dismay of Skinhead and Johnny Rocket. Mollock also remains which serves to keep Johnny very quiet. At first Skinhead doesn’t want to let Vyper in the ring. Kicking at him or treading on his fingers everytime he tries to enter. So Vyper slides his snake, Zelda, into the ring causing Skinhead to evacuate. Problem solved. But it didn’t go too well after that. Skinhead won in just a couple minutes. Vyper went to go off the ropes but Mollock started wildly shaking the top rope from where he was stood. A reaction to getting a beach ball thrown at his head. It causes Vyper to fly over the top rope and fall on his head. Skinhead can’t believe his luck and retrieved Vyper quickly to pin him. As Skinhead celebrates Vyper recovers his senses and managed to plant a knee into him from behind. Skinhead got tangled in the ropes. A chance too good to be missed. Vyper unveils Zelda again. Skinhead screams at Johnny Rocket to free him. But he gets abandoned. Johnny freaks at the sight of the snake. We get treated to a show of Zelda slithering all over Skinhead before officials eventually free him. Skinhead scarpers as quick as he can. Both pin the blame on their respective managers in the aftermath. Skinhead claims Johnny didn’t do enough to save him whilst Vyper thinks Mollock is still too unpredictable and costs his team too many matches.
X-Termination beats Karah and Terak by DQ. Good to see Terak is still prepared to step in the ring. He’d challenged Johnny Rocket to do the same but went unanswered. Anyway as expected it’s all X-Termination. They should of won by pin but Mollock got a bit stressed seeing his master getting beat up. He bulldozed the action after Sleeze subjected Terak to METALHEAD MAULER causing the disqualification. They tried to gang up on him in response but he easily cleared the ring. Johnny Rocket looked pretty terrified and wouldn’t go anywhere near Mollock throughout.
Talon shocked Enigma. Darkos taunts Talon “make the most of this before your exile”. The mocking serves to inspire Talon to a huge upset win. It looked iffy for Enigma early as he was hit with Deadly Descent and TALON’S PREY (twice) in quick succession. He nearly got counted-out and then relied on Darkos stopping a pin. Talon may off wiped Darkos out but it seemed this would give Enigma impetus to recover. But Talon stays on his game and later wins the match after a spectacular Eagle swoop off the turnbuckle. Talon's legendary cousin doesn't want the achievement underplayed and immediately posts on Spacebook "so proud of you cuz. You've taken to being a Titan like a duck to water. Beating Enigma no mean feat, I lost to him once".

CARD 936 – GALACTICON 20 – DEIMOS INTERGALACTIC ARENA:
Finally the big night has arrived. Could go down as the one of the greatest events ever. So many key battles with lots on the line. After the huge success of the GWF team at Pelf Palace there is a feel good factor resonating. Something that has been missing a good while. Plenty of pressure on the shoulders of the CPC guys to deliver tonight and repair much of the damage from the last show. Fireworks kick off the show. Money maybe tight but there is no expense spared on these. They must of raided the most spectacular ones in the galaxy. It’s a display to remember with images of fed legends being formed in the heavens by virtue of a special effect on the arena ceiling. The event also celebrates its rich history now it is in the twentieth iteration with highlights from past events play throughout. Too many great moments to mention but it’s a great reminder of all that has gone before.
Heavyweight champ, Chaos, crushed Paragon in the highly anticipated main event. Finally it happens after months and months of talking about it. These two great rivals have crossed paths many times but not thrown so much as a punch in anger. Even the recent Battlezone match between the GWF and CPC kept them apart. Paragon accused Chaos of chickening out in the aftermath by submitting so weakly to Monad in order to avoid facing him. Chaos angrily tells Qualitar in his last interview before heading out “that couldn’t be further from the truth. Monad got lucky but some lame Battlezone match on an inferior brand means nothing. This is what it’s all about (holds up the GWF belt) and it will stay with me. It’s what has lured you in and now I will crush you in my powerful arms. Nobody is stronger than Chaos. You failed to learn that in Dimension X. Now you’ll be reminded”. And so to the match. A hush greets the entrance of both guys. The crowd isn’t sure who to cheer for. Chaos is one of their own but he has such a murky past it is hard to get behind him. Whereas Paragon hasn’t actually done anything bad. He’s just arrived and pretty much beaten all before him so far. But his mere association with the CPC makes him unpopular. The hush doesn’t last long. As the two men meet in the ring awaiting the bell the noise builds. Thantos is at ringside and gets heckled a bit but it’s clear he has no intention of interfering as he takes a seat and just observes. It really is a case of may the best man win and hoping for a clean outcome. Finally the most anticipated meeting in many years gets underway. The first blows are exchanged with Chaos gaining the early upper hand. He plays his hand right away with most of his power based repertoire on display. Indestructible Drop is a favoured move of his designed to take the wind out of opponents and it is dealt early. Chaos goes through the motions of a pin attempt but it doesn’t register so much as a one count. After that he dials down the tempo almost as if to suggest to Paragon “come on, let’s see what you’ve got”. But Paragon fails to respond. Offering very little. Chaos takes the reins again and powerfully hurls Paragon through the ropes and onto the floor. The Big Man is on all fours wheezing right in front of his manager. Thantos speaks to him. It must of been along the lines of “get back in there. This is making you look bad” for Paragon forces himself into the ring with very little rest time. He walks straight into a Galaxy Crusher and another pin attempt follows. Paragon a little more weary on his kickout this time. Chaos looks as surprised as anybody by the ease at which he is able to manhandle Paragon. He positions himself behind Paragon waiting for him to rise. Then comes the BOW OF DEFEAT and Paragon looks in big trouble. Thantos rises to his feet on sight and demands to Paragon “break free, it’s a weak move”. Paragon is in too much distress to hear. He pathetically tries to prise away the fingers of Chaos from the waist but it’s no good. With every inward breath that he takes Chaos is able to crush tighter. Paragon’s eyes focus on the arena lights but almost like a dark tunnel enveloping his consciousness the light at the end gets smaller and smaller before it fades. He falls unconscious and is thrown to the floor by Chaos. He places a big boot on the chest of Paragon and insists on a 10 count. Chaos points to the heavens in a pose of superiority as the the count takes place whilst also keeping his stare fixed on Thantos. Should Thantos dare to make a move towards the ring Chaos was more than ready for him. Finally after a seemingly eternal count the win is confirmed and a major statement has been made. This was a big setback for Paragon and the CPC. Within a few hours of the show’s climax Paragon breaks the silence. Blaming everything but himself. Accusations fly that Chaos had used an undetected foreign object, over poor facilities leaving him Paragon under prepared and that he was also carrying a bad injury. The latter totally unproven. The 5 minutes of the match feed was observed from many angles and never once was there a hint of a weapon used. All sour grapes on Paragon’s part. Wonder where this will go now. The CPC will be hellbent on revenge. Chaos will want to build on this too possibly by heading into right into Paragon’s own backyard at Pelf Palace and beating him there. Maybe in the process taking possession of the CPC Heavyweight belt.
Tag champs, Frozen Fury, lost to Rebel Empire in a wild DQ outcome. All four guys arrive still drenched in sweat from earlier in the Lumberjack match. They have already fought each other hard and now go at it again. Vendetta is very hyped. Usually he is a quiet intimidating man but he wants to get at Genocide. Standing and encouraging Buck to change even before things have started. Nefarus isn’t quite so keen and hushes his partner. Of course this is what the crowd wants. Poor Buck feels that pressure all the time as fans often feel short changed if he doesn’t appear. The most important thing though was to keep the belts out of Rebel Empire’s hands. Vertigo is worried they could become very dominant champions. He has already gone on record as saying he will not hesitate attacking Sentry if it looks like some dastardly act could occur. He certainly owes him one after what went down in the Wraith-Painmaster match. Anyway Vendetta gets what he wanted almost straight away. Starting against Buck he almost slams him through the mat with a Vendetta Rack Bomb. Almost immediately on impact Buck changes before his very eyes into Genocide. Massive eruption from the crowd. Vendetta suddenly backs off perhaps regretting his bravado. Genocide snarls before yelling his “I’m Hyper, Man” catchphrase. Then with one arm forces Vendetta over the top rope. Vendetta picks himself up and walks around the ring trying to get composure. Nefarus jumps down and starts a conference with him but Genocide comes after them and smashes their heads together. It’s all on now. Genocide now props Vendetta against the ring steps and charges towards him like a locomotive. But at least second Sentry reached over bravely and pulled him out the way. Genocide smashes forcefully into them and rolls around in obvious pain. Concerned faces all round as Vendetta with great difficulty gets him back in the ring and goes for THE BIG FALL. Luckily Genocide throws him off the pin attempt. Worse could be to follow but Vendetta spurns the opportunity of more damage and allows Genocide to tag out. Perhaps the lesser of two evils to take on Blizzard instead. Although Blizzard looks pretty dangerous coming straight in with an Ice Pick fist off turnbuckle. Vendetta feels the pain and finds himself outside yet again as a result. Blizzard, much like his partner, doesn’t allow Vendetta anytime and piles into him. Suddenly ringside furniture starts going everywhere as Genocide cannot resist getting involved. This draws Nefarus in to helping his partner. The ref tries to sort things out but when Sentry and Vertigo then also join the melee he has no option other than to call the bell. Before anyone can make an announcement the brawl needs sorting out which takes a good few minutes. When it comes there are groans. A double DQ was expected but controversially Frozen Fury is only disqualified. Genocide fingered as being the instigator of all this carnage. It’s frustrating because it gives Rebel Empire a very strong case for a rematch. Frozen Fury had hoped to see them off but the important thing is that they were still wearing the belts. So far the night has gone quite badly for the Colonizers as they have been unable to capture any of the gold they were expecting. Even Mandrill beating Max Shield could not make up for that.
Interplanetary champ, Wraith, overcomes Painmaster in a dominant DQ win. Even though Mandrill was wanting to leave the Colonizer-Genesis feud behind in 2106 it hasn’t happened that way. Chaos is still number one villain and the fact these Genesis-Colonizer matches pepper the upper card of the event it shows how important the feud is to wrestling. In fact with all the titles being up for grabs it has gone up a notch. The GWF sweated a lot on the plight of the champions over the last couple of months but it all worked out for the booking. It’s become very clear that this is the fed’s headline feud. Just like the lumberjack match earlier things get feisty. Vertigo and Sentry almost clash immediately. Vertigo has great speed but can be clumsy. He took a fall and got cornered. Sentry was closing in with his gun and preparing a blast at point blank range. Then out of nowhere the gun pinged out Sentry’s hand and went loose. Wraith had used his invisibility to surprise Sentry. He crystallises into view and tries to stamp on it rendering it useless but it’s made of pretty strong stuff. As Sentry starts getting knocked about by an invisible force Painmaster has the answer. Taking out a spray which creates a foggy mist. The result of which shows Wraith’s translucent outline more clearly and allows him to engage. Wraith is frustrated that his game is up and dispenses with his Omicron power to start the bout. Sentry is now able to retrieve his stun gun and lovingly cradles it. It looks intact and fully functional. He gets to test it fully soon enough. Wraith was absolutely wiping the floor with Painmaster. It wasn’t too long before he was hitting an invisibility assisted SUDDEN DEATH. Painmaster was toast having already evaded a few pin attempts. Sentry takes aim at Wraith but he wasn’t fully visible yet. The shot misses and ascends into the rafters of the arena. His backup plan is to simply storm the ring. Takes a swing with the gun in the approximate area that Wraith might be and got lucky with a glancing blow. This causes Wraith to fully form again but before Sentry can dish more punishment Vertigo zips in. Amid all this the ref has disqualified Painmaster. Things continue with all four ready to have a ruck. Vertigo doesn’t fare too well and gets knocked out the ring quite quickly. Painmaster and Sentry are able to double team Wraith and leave one on him. He ended up in a prolonged position in THE TORTURE RACK. Finally the cavalry arrives in the form of the rest of the Genesis team causing Painmaster and Sentry to leave. The team could of given chase but their focus is on helping Wraith up. He is injured and needs some help. Max Shield gets the IP belt and straps it around his friends waist in a noble gesture. As Wraith is hurting he is not in control of his mutant power and keeps turning translucent on and off. He stumbles along it creating the strange sight of the belt floating through the air. Reports long after the event has ended reveal Wraith sustained back injuries set to afflict for just a couple of cards. Could of been worse.
CPC Tag champs, CPC Rising see off FDF in a Lepus Stun Rod match. Commissioner Grogan shows how ‘fair-minded’ he is by giving FDF the shot. But just so it outshines other ‘boring’ GWF title matches he makes it into a Stun Rod match. Jack of Diamonds must be thinking all his Christmases have come up at once. His last 4 matches, a tag contest with Transevolver, a Heavyweight title shot against Chaos, a match with Paragon and now this. He is certainly having a real good run at the top of the card. But would he be able cope? It’s been draining and he’s not exactly a special matches guy. But to be fair neither are the others. All better known for their technical abilities than hardcore instincts or handling of weaponry. Early momentum is all with CPC Rising. The Matador was leading the line and demonstrating his immense talent. No need for the rod as he gives US. Patriot a wrestling lesson. But he strops when Adam survives BULLWHIP. Hands off to Janus and never comes back in the ring. Janus took over in a strong position but botches a chance to grab the rod and gets zapped with it instead. Brings about a sudden turnaround. The crowd excitedly anticipates more misery being heaped on the CPC. Perhaps Adam got too eager. Maybe should of let Jack back in as he was fresher. Instead he goes for it himself and somehow Janus got it together. Adam went for a double fisted dive but Janus instinctively sidestepped and pushed him down onto the top rope. It meant got it right across the throat. Wasting no time Janus locks in GORDION KNOT. The Matador now wakes up in the apron as he moves to stop Jack saving his partner. Doing a good enough job and allowing Janus to close the match out. Relief for CPC Rising as they got out of jail there.
Mandrill takes down Max Shield in a Hydra Lumberjack match. Both looking to break their singles GALACTICON duck. Remarkable that it’s the first time they have met each other one-on-one at wrestling’s premier event. Also interesting to see Mandrill’s attention fully back on Max having spent the early part of the year trying to move on from his personal vendetta with him. Has he admitted defeat in his trying to usurp the role of Chaos as top villain? The big man is on top again after all. Those in the know say Mandrill is winding down ready to strike big again in 2107. But to focus on the present and this had carnage written all over it. All the members of Genesis and Colonizers around the ring as lumberjacks. Many of them due to wrestle important matches later. They all contribute to a fantastic battle. Mandrill is much stronger in the first half of the match. Max found himself in the wrong part of town many times and got hit with MUTANT MAULER more than once. But a combination of help from his team and sheer will helps him hang on. His chance would come. His own guys affording him a route back in and for the second half of things Max is owning Mandrill. But much like earlier the finisher doesn’t get the job done as two attempts with MAXIMUM IMPACT see any successful pin attempt thwarted. Despite this it looks like there is only going to be one winner. Especially when Mandrill is thrown to the Genesis team for a kicking. Rather than seek to save Mandrill the rest of the Colonizers seize on this moment. The entire Genesis team attention is diverted and the ref is amid them trying to bring an end to the attack and keep the action flowing. Vendetta and Nefarus now come in and double team Max. Quickly as possible Vendetta holds Max up for Nefarus to slug him in the stomach and they then execute EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT on him. Meanwhile Sentry has managed to help Mandrill. Rushing around to blast the entire Genesis group with the stun gun and temporarily stop them. He then helps Mandrill back into the ring. Mandrill sees Max down and crawls across him for the cover. The confused ref comes in and wonders how this happened. But more or less anything goes so he obediently slides in to make the pin count. Mandrill wins. Of course that wasn’t the end of it. Most of the Genesis team now recovers and start to brawl with all the Colonizers. It’s like a bar room brawl with chairs and tables going flying. Once on the runway the Deimos officials switch the newly installed travelator on to move the carnage away from the ring and towards the back where security can more easily intervene. The fate of all the participants unclear as it gradually moved out of sight.
Raven crucially beats Thunder in a Titan Death match. Raven is still out there celebrating his team’s prior victory when Thunder comes down early to surprise him. Takes him down from behind. Means no announcements. It’s straight into the match but there is an altered mindset from Raven. Stems the flow of attacks with a boot to the groin and starts playing rough to cope with Thunder’s turbo charged offense. When Thunder gets his breath back from the assault on his nether regions and cottons on that Raven wants to go hardcore he decides to make it more interesting. Heads over to a turnbuckle and says “let’s see if you can stomach this”. Proceeds to remove the pad exposing steel. Raven is more than up for it and promptly dashes around the ring to remove the rest of them. From this point all turnbuckle moves increased in polarity by 1. The commentary team say this is no longer a Titan Death match and nickname it an ‘Exposed Turnbuckle’ match instead. Thunder is the first to meet the acquaintance of the steel as Raven managed to ram him. Nearly brings about the end in under a minute as a follow up with BLADERUNNER comes. Thunder just about kicks out. However Thunder shakes this off and surges back. His frenzied attacks start to overwhelm Raven. An Aethran Power Bomb comes within a whisker of getting a pin. Then Thunder returns the favour of a turnbuckle smash. Everyone winced when that happen. The sound of Raven’s head hitting the steel was very audible. Thunder doesn’t relent and keeps up the pace. Then smelling blood he places Raven against the turnbuckle and sets about charging him. Inevitable what happened next. Raven moves at the last second and Thunder collides with the buckle. It’s the hardest hit yet and Raven wastes no time in going for BLADERUNNER again. So much blood in the ring now it looks like a massacre has taken place. Credit to Thunder. He doesn’t know where he is but makes an instinctive twitch to get a shoulder up. Raven is too experienced to let that get to him. He just repeats the move and this time there is no movement from Thunder. Raven takes the win and completes in an incredible night for his team. Maybe, just maybe they can do this.
Mayhem and New Order sweep Vengeance, Malice and Overkill in an Elimination match. The start of a tense period for Raven. He is on next against Thunder but anxiously watches all this from the back rather than try and prep himself. He knows this could be make or break in this feud. If WAR loses both matches they are surely finished and any matches thereafter become dead rubbers. But two victories will close things right back up. Sharing the spoils wouldn’t be a disaster but it would still leave a mountain to climb. So understandable anxiety. The task not made any easier with Mayhem carrying some debilitating injuries from his loss inside the barbed cage against Malice at Pelf Palace. He needn’t of worried though as the Gladiators shoot themselves in the foot. The order of eliminations were … Dreggs goes over Vengeance by DQ. A Gladiator is first to fall. Vengeance only with himself to blame. His sadistic tendencies consumed him. He tries to gouge Dreggs with a sharp object outside the ring. A breakdown in communication with Thrash meant the distraction wasn’t forthcoming … Mayhem beats Malice by DQ too. OMG a lack of composure really costing the Gladiators. Malice in control against Mayhem but an unnecessary smash into the table right under the referees nose brings his elimination. Seems the Gladiators cannot catch a break with strict officials. Malice’s next move is to frustratingly push the ref sending the poor chap sliding several feet across the floor. Will the GWF be brave enough to fine the Gladiators for that? Tough task ahead for Overkill now … Mace completes the rout as he beats Overkill in what was another DQ. Unbelievable. Although Overkill can be forgiven. He had to go for it. He came close to bumping both Mayhem and Mace off with TURNBUCKLE TRAP. But there were just too many to cope with even for someone of his size. It looked like he may wilt during a brawl outside so Thrash desperately jumped on Mace’s back sticking her thumbs in each eye. An instant DQ. Mace runs backwards into a post to force her off but is sporting a cut under each eye. He’ll take those injuries happily though as it’s a crucial win for WAR. A bad day at the office for the Gladiators. They went too hardcore. No retribution from Overkill or Thrash aftewards. Overkill too exhausted and heavily outnumbered. Thrash could barely walk after crashing into that post. All Aethran hopes now pitted on Thunder upsetting Raven in the next match and salvage something. Speaking of Raven. He cannot hold back. Rushes to the ring to celebrate with his team. Overcome with joy.
Heracles annihilated Colussus in a Four Weapons of Destruction match. Almost a GALACTICON tradition to have these old friends meet. But never before has there been such a brutal edge. The 4 weapons theme guarantees injury. Heracles cannot wait and arrogantly proclaims “this will end this pointless feud once and for all. I have other priorities rather than keep wrestling this freak”. Colussus bit back “I always carried Millenium when we were a team. You were a liability. I cannot wait to bury those weapons in the back of your head. You’ll be begging to return to Ancient Greece by the time this is over”. Early sideshow sees Heracles get into an argument with a group of women. He gets hounded by them over his chauvinistic ways and bad treatment of women. When one of them chucks a cup of soda in his face Heracles almost climbs the crowd barrier to get at them. Only Colussus saves him from doing something regrettable by choosing this moment to start grappling. Heracles has to forget his feud with the females and try to deal with Colussus. But despite that positive start by Colussus it soon becomes a night to forget for him. Heracles becomes something of a weapons expert posting 6 tokens onto Colussus without reply. Uses the stun rod like a baseball bat. Then coming off the top turnbuckle with it to be used for a clothesline. Heightened devastation because the moves were then knocking Colussus backwards into the turnbuckle that delivers electric shocks. The only respite Colussus gets is when Heracles tried a whip into the electrified buckle and it got reversed. Fans get hopeful as Colussus then plants Heracles head first into the barbed wire one. This is as good as it got. The toll from earlier shows and Heracles is soon back on top. A thunderous hit with OLYMPIA leaves Colussus on the brink. Heracles now returns to his favourite weapon, the Stun Rod. Again using it for a clothesline to send Colussus into the electrified buckle. Colussus sizzles and just stays slumped against it. Game over. With his back now in serious danger of burning concerned officials push him off the turnbuckle with a long pole. Colussus in pretty bad shape and needing stretchering away after that. Heracles looks pretty happy but there is one last heinous act to come. Remembering the women who had given earlier grief he walks over to them and spits in their direction. Then laughs and casually walks away. The cameras hone in on one of the ladies. She was the ring leader when it came to all the heckling and it wasn’t a pretty sight as she stood there showered in saliva. Gross.
Worst possible post match roll for Colussus as it’s a 6 card injury but considering how badly beaten about he was maybe it fits. Spent so much time getting zapped. Years later it is suggested that this was the beginning of the end of Colussus being a hero. The time spent slumped over the electrified turnbuckle put his internal circuitry on the fritz and altered his mindset forever.
Assassin Air Raid defeated Titan Gliders in a Fed Exile match using Titan Death rules. With exile awaiting the losers it’s a tense one. Sure to really damage the ranking of the unlucky team and will take a lot of recovering from. It’s a gamble from both managers to put their teams through it but victory will clear a path. In fact Darkos has most to lose as defeat will leave his entire team sidelined what with the suspensions also currently in place. Plus Lycosa will surely be stripped of the Cruiserweight belt. The CPC barely needs an excuse to shaft a GWF guy at the best of times. Talon is understandably confident after shocking Enigma on the Countdown show. He wants to start things off and repeat his feat. But surely lightening wouldn’t strike twice in the same place? Scion Nexus is also chomping at the bit to get into the action. Hoping to tap into his wrestling pedigree and show the resourcefulness he has learned from his legendary father to come through this. When Enigma hits Scion with FEET OF FURY in less than a minute it looks like passion and pedigree will count for nothing. However Scion survived and after that it is a gripping contest. The Titans really bring it despite their underdog label. In fact they will feel hard done by not to win. Their link ups were at times mesmerising. Scion was denied after THE RISE AND FALL on Enigma by Lycosa’s pin save in the nick of time. An astonishing walk along the ropes and elbow drop responsible. It was the only way he could of got there on time. Later Enigma has to kick out after TWIN HAZARDS under his own steam. Darkos must of been having kittens watching this somewhere in the back of the arena. Trouble is you always felt after that the Titans had used up their chances. The Assassins bound to get their act together and so it proved. Lycosa picked up the baton and looked arguably sharper than his partner. Enigma perhaps not too high on confidence bearing in mind recent results. Anyway Lycosa isolates Talon and after some fancy moves just goes for BLACK WIDOW’S BITE relentlessly. I think I counted three in a row. Talon eventually yields and sadly the Titans are now exiled for 10 cards. Relief for Assassin Air Raid. Not at their best but it’s job done. There were some afters as they swoop like vultures upon the carcass of Talon. Looking to add insult onto injury by hurting him some more. They got a few high flying moves in before Scion is able to protect his partner. The crowd made sure to give the Titans a big cheer as they left the scene. To try and lift their spirits. Putting a positive spin on things it must be said they wrestled a great match and could easily of won. The future is still bright.
Terminus overcame Pegasus by DQ. Pegasus has to take a backseat to bigger things. Unbelievably he has never yet headlined a GALACTICON but he is usually right near the top of the card. So not something he is used to. But whereas a few years ago he might of thrown his toys out the pram he is professional about it and wants to get on with taking the fight to the CPC. Inspired by Wolf’s legendary feud he put out the challenge to Terminus. It was accepted straight away as Terminus believes beating Pegasus will elevate him to even bigger things than the Interstellar belt. Surprisingly for two guys at their level it’s not great viewing. Long and drawn out. Lacking in incident. Pegasus suffered a momentary lapse in concentration and almost got caught out but that’s about all that happened in the first ten minutes. Then just when Pegasus looks like he might get on a roll it abruptly ends. If someone had said Terminus would win by DQ it would be assumed Wolf had stormed in with a wildman attack. But that wasn’t the case. Pegasus just got needlessly aggressive. He was fed up with Terminus breaking his momentum with rolls out the ring. That happened a lot. Star Warrior pleaded patience but Pegasus went chasing anyway and sent Terminus into tables triggering the outcome. The aftermath becomes more interesting than the match itself as Reynard B. Guile is sent by the CPC to meet Pegasus. In front of everyone he produces a contract with some mind boggling numbers for Pegasus to sign with them. The crowd and Star Warrior is aghast as Pegasus accepts the pen and signs. He then shakes B. Guile’s hand. But the smile on B. Guile’s face turns to pain as his hand is crushed. Pegasus then picks the contract up and rips it into a thousand pieces. Massive crowd pop. Pegasus follows up on Spacebook not too long after all this. His message to the fans “sorry I lost my composure. Am sure I would of won if I’d been more patient. But I’m still a great wrestler and won’t let this set me back. I’ll be back in the ring soon and winning for all my fans. At least that snivelling space weasel B. Guile got his comeuppance”.
Wolf gets a modicum of revenge on Dynamo via a DQ win. Who said Wolf had forgotten that he owes Dynamo one? Wolf bares his fangs and snarls into the mic “I have been busy but I never forget those who have wronged against me. Tonight Dynamo you will learn never to of messed with me”. Dynamo clearly has bigger muscles than brains and actually believes he can beat Wolf and get himself back to the top of the card. In fact he is too busy kissing his pecs in the ring to even be aware of Wolf closing in on him. His flexing brought to a premature end as he is thrown from the ring knocking down his acting manager, Reynard B. Guile in the process. They fall right at the feet of Amazonia who is making a rare accompanying of Wolf. She looks down at them and says “you both make me want to puke” before backing away. Leaving them at the mercy of Wolf. B. Guile is spared and able to crawl away like the insect he is. Whilst Dynamo is grabbed by his oily hair and pitched back into the ring. He does have some surprises for Wolf though and musters some offence. So it’s not the one way traffic expected. However Wolf is in such a hot streak at the moment there was no way he was going to slip up. After a few minutes back and forth he starts tearing shreds out of Dynamo. The crowd is on its feet anticipating a big finish. Dynamo decides he wants no part of it and out of nowhere assaults the ref to force the DQ. He then dives through the ropes and heads up the runway as quick as possible. Reynard B. Guile was now left alone with Wolf and Amazonia. He tried to dash off too. Wolf managed to grab a trouser leg and using his sharp claws rips it from B. Guile’s body. Then does the same to the other leg. A humiliated B. Guile now gets away looking ridiculous in his underpants. It’s like old times seeing him embarrassed by Wolf and Amazonia in such a way.
Dark Justice over Draconian Sheik via DQ. This is wild. Plenty of opportunity for bloodshed. The Mercenaries are obediently at ringside supporting Justice and watching the Terrorists closely. Only a matter of time before they clashed. Took all of 5 minutes. Whilst Drac dominates in the ring the two sides are already at war. However the Mercenaries did manage to break away from the incessant brawling to attack Drac as he put Justice in DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. Vigilante ramming his gun into the shoulder blade to force a release. Drac yelped inaudible and curled up in a ball. The ref let it go. I guess given the personalities involved he was trying to give some leeway and allow the match at least half a chance of finishing in anything other than a DQ. Justice was able to recover because of this and take control. However the Terrorists are not about to let him off lightly for they storm the ring when Justice attempts a pin after a Tar and Feather crescent kick. They start beating Justice with their billy clubs and a whip also comes out. It was just as well the Mercenaries were with Justice as they were able to substantially lessen the seriousness of the Terrorist attack. This time the ref couldn’t ignore what went on. The bell is called and a DQ decreed. Drac didn’t really care. It’s not certain he truly understands anyway. A DQ loss is like a win for him and the Terrorists. As long as the opponent suffered. They kind of managed that as Justice, once security swept the ring, was whisked straight off to the medical centre. Luckily for him the injuries were found to be largely superficial and only 1 week off recommended by the medics.
Dragonmaster against Mutant ends in a double DQ sham. DM is one of the event pioneers and faced Mutant in the very first GALACTICON in tag team action. Lots of nostalgia there. Some good, some bad as we also remember the part played by Mutant scarring him all those years ago. DM has never forgotten. In an eerily similar scenario DM comes to the ring not in good shape. Looking like he’s been dragged through a hedge backwards. Turns out the Mercenaries did a number on him not too long before the curtain was raised. Krakan brags “it is our gift to him, a little trip down memory lane”. It could of been much worse if not for Rising Sun. DM is determined still to be out there. But he struggles to cope. Mutant too crazed for him. When TEMPLE GRINDER goes on it looks like Mutant might just be about to do the double over the Titan Fury guys. But DM managed to force it off and regroup. Mutant then wildly charges DM but collides with the ref who got caught in a sandwich between them. As DM tries to help the ref angrily bats him off and issues a double DQ. Awful decision. Crowd heckles. The ref should hang his head in shame. Mutant is too dopey to realise what happened and tries to continue until a handler comes out and skilfully manages to lasso it with a chain to lead it away. DM was ready to stay put on fight on. He felt so aggrieved but relaxes a little when most of the crowd starts a Dragonmaster chant.
Velar wins the 8 Lady Battle Royal. Anyone bemoaning that there is not enough female action in wrestling gets a treat. The entire female roster in the ring at once. Comprises Thrash, Supernova, Anaxis, Ms. Liberty, Velar, Cassandra, Maxine Babe and Amazonia. The winner, unless it is Thrash, is pretty much guaranteed a shot at the ladies belt. It is immediately clear that Amazonia is after Thrash making a beeline for her straight away. Maxine Babe was doing her best to stay out of the action. The order of eliminations went as follows … Amazonia sent Cassandra packing after AMAZON ATTACK … MS. Liberty get rid off Maxine Babe who was prancing up and down the apron like it’s some catwalk. Genuinely looking surprised when she is bumped off … Thrash eliminates Supernova. Best spot so far as Velar thought she’d eliminated her. Supernova held onto the top rope as she goes over. Managing to stay on the apron. As she stands up can see Thrash coming towards her like a freight train but instinctively does a spectacular cartwheel to get out the way and evade elimination. Unfortunately this angers Thrash who grabs her by the hair and drag her back in the ring all the way over to the other side to throw her over the opposite rope. You don’t go embarrassing a Gladiator like that … Thrash is on a roll and tosses Ms. Liberty soon after … Amazonia ousts Thrash. In response Thrash gets angry and tries to drag Amazonia down with her but fails … Anaxis soon eliminated Amazonia shortly after CALL OF THE SIREN. Thrash was waiting for Amazonia and they brawl to the back … Velar eliminated Anaxis to win. She survived CALL OF THE SIREN x2 to comeback and throw Anaxis out. She needed that as life in the CPC is not going too well for her.
DARK MATCHES
Archon makes Dreadnaught submit. Toughie for Archon. He has to work really hard on wearing Dreadnaught down but gets there in the end. Clamps on CROSS KNEE RACK to force the submission. Aftermath Dreadnaught wants decision changed as he won’t admit to a weakling trait of quitting. His pleading goes unheard.
Blade defeated Grunge. This was worthy of the live event. Really served up a classic. It was a match filled with failed finishers. Blade took KILLER AIR GUITAR four times in all but still won. A Flying Missile Shot is what floored Grunge.

GWF REPORT (CPC 2106 CARDS 933 – 936)
GWF Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Chaos (Top Contender: Wolf) * GWF Tag Champs: Frozen Fury (Top Contenders: Rebel Empire) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Wraith (Top Contender: Heracles) * GWF Ladies Champ: Thrash (Top Contender: Velar)
CPC Champions
* CPC Heavyweight Champ: Paragon (Top Contender: Chaos) * CPC Tag Champs: CPC Rising (Top Contenders: not announced) * CPC Interstellar Champ: Terminus (Top Contender: Dark Justice) * CPC Cruiserweight Champ: Lycosa (Top Contender: Prodigy) * CPC Ladies Champ: Supernova (Top Contender: Anaxis)
Latest News:
Drac attack on Prodigy went unpunished. This really annoyed Darkos as he feels this is special treatment. But it is probably more because the GWF was happy to see a CPC guy getting savaged rather than one of their own. This attack happened after Prodigy had lost his Cruiserweight belt to Lycosa. Prodigy is now back to full health and aiming to reclaim his property. Calling Lycosa’s rapid rise to glory beginner’s luck and that the normal order of things will soon be restored.
After this important month of action the momentum is with GWF. It’s top wrestlers went to Pelf Palace and won the crucial Battlezone match on the back of a MVP performance from Wolf and of course, as is to be dissected below, Chaos blew Paragon away when they finally locked horns.
Aethrans don’t usually make friends beyond their own kind but it could be argued that Vengeance is not your usual Aethran. He wants to team up for a one off tag team with Blazing Skull. As he put it “I like Brymstone’s society and the chance to team up with a cold blooded killer appeals to me. The offer is there. It will be sensible to accept as it will also elevate his status within the fed”. It’s a mind boggling move considering the Gladiators are in the middle of a big feud with WAR which suddenly got a lot closer. Perhaps Vengeance is stressed. Although he would never admit it. But it’s his head on the chopping block if the Gladiators fail as he is the team leader. Maybe a short break from grappling the WAR guys is what he needs. But will they leave him alone? Their tails are up and the likes of Raven and Mayhem will want to continue their momentum. Vengeance may have no choice in the matter.
FALLOUT FROM GALACTICON … Lots of DQ outcomes. Ordinarily that isn’t a great thing but the circumstances were so dramatic surrounding many of them that it made things pretty entertaining. Of course the most major thing dominating the news is the ease in which Chaos destroyed Paragon in the main event. Finished clean and it wasn’t even close. It ended a less than stellar month for the CPC and much murmuring that Paragon’s bubble had been burst. But Paragon wasted no time making excuses for the way it went. The latest one being in addition to injury that Paragon was ill with a high fever and had to rise from his deathbed to wrestle. Chaos laughs on hearing all this “total mumbo jumbo and no change from the Dimension X days. He could never accept defeat with any grace. I’ll just keep beating him until the message is learned”. Paragon’s immediate response to this is for Chaos to come to Pelf Palace and face him under fair conditions. With a level playing field Paragon brags Chaos has no chance. Of course Chaos is smarter than many give credit. He says he will face Paragon at the Palace but only under certain conditions. The match must be for the CPC Heavyweight belt and to eradicate dodgy officiating or outside interference it must be fought with Titan Death rules. The CPC hierarchy steps in and tries to meet in the middle with suggestions of it being Zero Gravity Platform instead. Chaos scoffs “no deal. That match is a joke. Two superhuman beings having to float around weightlessly is a waste of our abilities. If they won’t meet my demands I will stay at home with my GWF belt. I have nothing to prove”. Will the CPC go along with the demands? They are desperate to get Chaos into the ring at the Palace and it may be the only way to entice him. One thing is for sure. Paragon can forget about any challenging for the GWF Heavyweight belt. At least for the foreseeable. There is plenty of damage to now repair. Elsewhere the Colonizers failed in their quest for gold. Two good opportunities missed. However the battle between Frozen Fury and Rebel Empire over the tag belts is set to continue. But Painmaster must step aside for now. He was dominated by Wraith in a wild match. Still left his mark though with some nasty afters that left Wraith injured. It was a GALACTICON to forget for another major villain team. The Gladiators lost their heads and went down embarrassingly to WAR in the Elimination match. Did someone forget to tell them it wasn’t a special match? One by one they got themselves disqualified. It didn’t get much better when Thunder took on Raven. In a brilliant and violent contest Raven raised his game and took the win. There was heartbreak for the Titan Gliders as they narrowly lost to Assassin Air Raid but they try to be positive. They will use their time off to hone their skills and come back better than ever. Sadly it wasn’t a great event for the Titan unit as a whole what with how Dragonmaster got done over.
Wolf could become a reluctant hero as the GWF rewards his incredible recent form with a shot at the Heavyweight belt held by Chaos. He is more interested in ripping Terminus to pieces and tries to pass up the opportunity. The fed really wants him to be their champion. He is still probably the most popular wrestler in the cosmos and a perfect figurehead. Even more so than Pegasus. This is so important in these times with the CPC being such a growing threat. When Wolf showed no interest a delegation was sent to meet with Amazonia. They wanted her to convince Wolf to take the task on. Did she succeed? We’ll find out later in the month. Outside of this Chaos’s team, if you can call it a team, has a huge opportunity coming. Chaos could very well beat Paragon to be become the second guy to hold both the GWF and CPC titles. They could even possess the IP belt. Heracles has been named top contender. Mainly due to the way he smashed Colussus to bits. He sees himself as more a Heavyweight belt guy but he’s got little chance with Chaos occupying that spot. The only way he’d get a look in is to breakaway from him. For now he is prepared to ‘settle’ for the lesser title. If he wins then it will surely rekindle the interest of Alpha Force who has lowered his sights to this title now he is an elder statesmen of the fed. He’d fancy his chances big time having beaten Heracles recently in pretty convincing fashion. Spare a though for Max Shield who is completely out the picture. When he entered the GWF back in 2100 he was seen as a potential future superstar hero in the mould of the legendary Star Warrior. But he has never held gold. Only briefly flirting with the IP belt but that slipped from his grasp like a bar of soap on his the first defence. If you don’t manage at least one successful title defence then you don’t go into the record books as a champion.
High injury count after all the monthly shenanigans. Plus some suspensions still to see out. The full list is below.
INJURED – Dark Justice (1), Wraith (2), Mayhem (4), Colussus (6); SUSPENDED – Manslaughter and Ninja Assassins (all 1); EXILED – Titan Gliders (10)
SUDDEN DEATH SCORING … GLADIATORS 22-17 WAR … Can Raven pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat? The Gladiators are still heavy favourites but his team now has some hope after experiencing a GALACTICON beyond his wildest dreams.
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
WOLF – Big performances from lots of different guys but how could anyone look past Wolf. He extended his lead against Terminus in the special matches challenge and pretty much crushed Dynamo forcing the coward to take a walk. But it was his heroic performance representing Team GWF in the Battlezone match that stood out by far. Without him it could of been a very different outcome. He has restored hope to the GWF. Ironic when only a few months ago he nearly walked out on the fed and could easily of helped to destroy it.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
ASSASSIN AIR RAID – Tag teaming mostly took a backseat to things but that’s not to say there weren’t important matches. Perhaps none more so than when Assassin Air Raid took on the Titan Gliders with exile ramifications for the losers. Both teams served up a thriller with the Assassin duo prevailing. Both Enigma and Lycosa tend to jump back and forth between singles and tag teaming. But if they put their minds to it they have the talent to create a highly successful high flying tag team.

CARD 937 – EUROPA GARDEN:
Tag champs, Frozen Fury, completely destroyed Rebel Empire in a cage match. GALACTICON did nothing to diffuse this intense rivalry. The fact the tag belts are involved just adds fuel to the fire. At least we were going to get a clear winner having them all caged up. But that could spell doom for Rebel Empire if Genocide comes out. No escaping him then. But to be tag champions you sometimes have to go through hell and there would be no shirking from Rebel Empire. Once everyone was safely locked inside the cage you felt kind of sorry for the ref inside there with them. Only in there to make pin counts and try to regulate the tags. Very dangerous for him if caught in any crossfire. Luckily he doesn’t have to be in there for very long as it’s all over very quickly. Nobody would of predicted the ease in which Frozen Fury would have this won. Most of the time the focus is on Buck Steele and his Genocide alter ego. But Blizzard makes sure he is the one that everyone will be talking about tomorrow. He just ripped into Vendetta immediately with an Ice Pick fist off the turnbuckle and then just offloaded finisher after finisher upon him. In a cage match there is no stopping his controversial ICE ATTACK. The second time he launched Vendetta got struck on the side of the head and went down unconscious. Blizzard crowns it with a splash and cover which the ref was able to make unhindered. Buck wasn’t standing doing nothing during all of this. Having seen one pin effort ruined by Nefarus he wasn’t about to let that happen again. He saw things early and was already over where Nefarus was keeping him busy with a speedy assortment of punches. Nefarus could see things were bad for Vendetta but couldn’t fend Buck off in time. Nefarus looks almost shellshocked as the triumphant Frozen Fury exits the cage. This will be hard to recover from for Rebel Empire. They were highly fancied to finally land the belts. Much like their leader, Mandrill, they are finding reaching the pinnacle harder than thought.
Ladies champ, Thrash, sees off Velar. A chance for Velar to regain favour in the CPC. Currently she is not in contention for the CPC belt but her unexpected recent Battle Royal win makes her the top contender in the GWF. Thrash has looked pretty unbeatable though. Velar best proceed with caution. In fact Velar wanted Terminus to appear at ringside to help her out but he refused. Terminus fearing a couple of things. First that he might run into the monstrous Overkill and raise the ire of the Gladiators. Also being there might make him a sitting duck for a Wolf attack. So Velar has to cope alone. She gives a pretty good account of herself though. For a long while going toe to toe and using her superior agility to get out of tight spots. However the match changed quite a bit after a brawl outside the ring which ended with Velar taking a meaty slam onto the floor. Thrash goes from strength to strength from here and when she goes for FEMME FATAL it is curtains. Thrash said of Velar’s prominence “anyone can win a free for all where people can gang up but nobody can live with me one to one. Velar found that out to her cost”. It does pose the question of whether anyone is up to it against Thrash. She is in the form of her career and her reign getting very respectable at 23 cards now.
The Stormtroopers defeated FDF by DQ. Cassandra’s Stormtroopers have been stumbling around with very little success. Poor results and a lack of willing feud opponents. The fact the FDF failed to win the CPC tag belts helped bring their attention back on the Stormtroopers. Maybe only briefly. Hammer and Powerhouse need to grab the opportunity and post a decent result. They do just that. US. Patriot was in all sorts of trouble after STORMTROOPER BLITZ. Kicked out but when EARTHQUAKE is felt not long after it’s time to get out the line of fire Jack of Diamonds comes in and whilst faring better he does get himself drawn into too much brawling. The ref warned him to calm down but Jack kept pushing boundaries and cost his team the match by DQ. Maybe the outcome has put this feud back on the map. The result doesn’t sit well with the FDF and they’ll be wanting a follow up match.
Alpha Force beats Brainstorm by DQ. Frustrating match for Alpha Force who wanted to get some decent ring time in. He thought Brainstorm might be prepared to be technical and grapple but that couldn’t be further from the case. Ends when Brainstorm tried to slug him with a loaded textbook. Alpha Force avoided the danger and managed to give Brainstorm a post match lesson.
Max Shield demolished Mutant. Max hoping to restore some confidence but needs to be careful. Lesser heroes than him have fallen to the unpredictable Mutant. Just ask the Titans. Max avoids falling into any traps and wins in a little over a minute via MAXIMUM IMPACT. But he looks nervous. The main event where Frozen Fury face Rebel Empire is weighing on his mind.
Ursa Major defeated Draconian Sheik. Surprisingly competitive. Ursa Major doesn’t let the Terrorists intimidate him. On his fifth SHOTGUN CRADLE he held on long enough to keep Drac pinned. It was a great performance, he’d even spent time in DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER but refused to give in.

CARD 938 – PELF PALACE:
CPC Heavyweight belt match between Paragon and Chaos gets abandoned. The dust has barely settled from their GALACTICON match and here they meet again. Chaos gets his wish as the prized CPC belt is on the line. He wants it pretty bad to show how dominating he is. Plus, if word on the street is to be believed, some of wrestling’s top publications are ready to elevate its status beyond the GWF Heavyweight belt. Chaos even leaves it behind. It is nowhere to be seen. Paragon comes out second. Unusual not to see him with Thantos even though the Titan Death stipulation was canned last minute. Chaos managed to negotiate for no managers to be at ringside instead. Paragon always approaches the ring boasting incredible self confidence especially with that belt gleaming round the waist but there is a sign of nervousness. A big bead of sweat drips off his brow. He is under pressure to win or at least make a much better fight of it. There can he no excuses this time. There is tension in the air but everyone settles down to watch this unfold. However barely 20 moves in Wolf extends his wildman attacks. Targetting the Big Man, Paragon. He couldn’t of chosen a worse moment for Chaos was on a roll with BOW OF DEFEAT and already in the driving seat. The bell goes on first sight of Wolf. Chaos looks shocked and releases Paragon. Not knowing who the target would be but assuming, as he is due to face Wolf soon, it’s going to be him. Shock turns to surprise as Wolf then jumps on Paragon who isn’t the best condition to fight him off. Up in the gallery Magnus Colby is heard shouting “get our useless security out there”. He needn’t of bothered worrying as Chaos does the job for him. Realising the match has been ruined he sees red mist and grabs Wolf from behind effectively saving his great rival. With Wolf unable to move Paragon assists Chaos by grabbing a chair with which to ram Wolf repeatedly. They continue working together for a couple of minutes before Chaos throws Wolf to the floor and decides to leave. Wolf is no threat now and left in a bleeding heap. Chaos has a parting word for Paragon “this doesn’t make us buddies. You are still a lower form of life”. He then spots the CPC belt placed atop a mahogany stand on a red cushion. Thinks about touching it but resists instead proclaiming “I’ll be back for this another time”. Wolf is thrown out the Palace but some fans find him and make sure he gets urgent medical care. He didn’t get too badly injured thanks to them. His cuts were attended to quickly but there was still some deep bruising on the upper body. Nothing that won’t hinder him more than 3 cards. Wolf was feeling much better within a few hours and posts a Spacebook video promo (Amazonia had to upload as Wolf is not too good at tech) and snarls “it did not go as planned but nobody is safe from my attacks, hero or villain. I won’t stop. Tonight I just felt like attacking Paragon. It was a spur of the moment thing. He thinks he is the biz but this ain’t Dimension X or wherever he comes from. Chaos shouldn’t of got in the way”. Commissioner Guile angrily says of Wolf “he is a disgusting filthy animal that should be caged up. We are seriously considering banning him from Pelf Palace permanently”. Bold words but would they really cut off their nose to spite their face? Wolf is the biggest draw in the cosmos. Plus deep down they know the only reason the belt is still with Paragon is because of Wolf. If anything they should be thanking him.
Dark Justice pinned Terminus to win the CPC Interstellar belt. The Mercanaries don’t care that they were at Pelf Palace against a CPC guy. They are undeterred. Krakan has ordered them to assist with bringing this belt into the Hitman camp no matter what. They may not be bosom buddies with Justice but they take their job very seriously. They attempt an attack behind the curtain to weaken Terminus before the match. In the end Terminus staves them off with the help of Velar and some security guys but he did take a few knocks. It is interesting to note how far Krakan was prepared to go for a belt previously seen as worthless. The stock of CPC gold is suddenly rising dramatically. Out in the arena the crowd and gallery are none the wiser at what Terminus has had to go through. They just see him looking uncharacteristically lethargic when things start. Even so he survives lots of punishment. Took SHOCK PROBATION twice and a whack with ROD OF JUSTICE. Okay, Velar bought him recovery time after the strike with the rod but it was impressive to still be alive in the match after all that. Ultimately it’s a somewhat more innocuous move that ends his resistance. Justice performs a moonsault and Terminus hadn’t got the leg strength left to push out from the pinning predicament. Gasps heard throughout the Palace. Terminus has been so synonymous with this belt it’s hard to imagine anyone else with it. With Wolf on his tail all the time he may not have the capacity to win it back straight away. Unbelievable when I looked at my records. Terminus had held this belt for 73 cards! The CPC won’t be entirely comfortable with Justice holding it. Too close to the likes of Draconian Sheik and the Terrorists with whom Justice is feuding.
CPC Cruiserweight champ, Lycosa, lost to Prodigy by DQ. Prodigy must be serious about getting the belt back. No sideshow, no motorbike. Just trooping down the red carpet runway on his own two feet with a look of concentration. Thantos follows behind him and has a “will do anything to win” aura about him. In a way this belt is mega important to the CPC as it’s the one they have pioneered and seeing as they turned Lycosa away so dramatically last year it must rankle to see him holding it. Prodigy does everything it try and reclaim the belt. Many pin attempts mainly after THE PERFECT SINGLES TAG FINISHER but Lycosa always finds a way to wriggle out. But it seems to be just a matter of time. That is until things end up outside. Lycosa tries a death defying leap off the apron onto Prodigy. This distance covered is sensational as he connects and sends them both into an expensive wooden table that cracks. Sonora Pelf nearly feints on seeing this. The ref is all too aware of the zero tolerance for vandalism of ringside furnishings and disqualified Lycosa for the act. Then the realisation sets in that this prevents a title switch and wishes the ground would swallow him up. Too late though decision has been cast. The poor ref is quietly removed from the officials roster soon afterwards.
CPC Ladies champ, Supernova, wins an exciting one over Anaxis. A shame that such a great match is overshadowed by perverse behaviour from Colby in the gallery. He is blatantly ogling Supernova and later invites her into his office to ‘discuss her future’. Curious and against her better judgement she goes along. What happened in there remains a mystery and Supernova wouldn’t say anything. Was Colby doing this to wind Star Warrior up or maybe even his own wife, Sonora Pelf? Remember she had annoyed Colby by getting all hot under the collar at some of Dynamo’s flexing sessions. For what it’s worth Supernova won stylishly. She withstood a barrage that included CALL OF THE SIREN and an uncomfortably long time in the Grecian Sleeper Grip. Her agility then comes to the fore with SPEED OF LIGHT finally seeing of Anaxis.
Transevolver too strong on home turf for the Ninja Assassins. After what seemed like an eternal suspension the Ninja Assassins are back and choosing the opulence of the Palace as their returning stage. Perhaps their eye is on the CPC tag titles. Tellingly Commissioner Grogan was heard to say “we are pleased to host them. They are an outstanding tag team”. However there was rustiness in evidence. Means Transevolver are able to take a big win. Monad applied SURFBOARD SUBMISSION to Daeman. Monad is quietly taking care of business for the CPC. Remember he was responsible for eliminating Chaos in the big fed war Battlezone match. His good work has not gone unnoticed.
Titan Fury downed Theatre of Pain. The Titans trying to dust themselves down after a rocky GALACTICON month. But Theatre of Pain are not to be taken lightly. This is not lost on Rising Sun who really brings his A game to the table. A little out of character for a Titan making a crucial pin save for his partner after Dragonmaster is assaulted with TEAR JERKER. It was one of those saves that changed the momentum. DM gets the hot tag and Rising blows Tragedy away. His famed SUNSET SPECTACULAR has Tragedy teetering. A follow up wristlock suplex then yields the pin.
Vyper wins easily against Bishop Hell. Two guys in need of a pick me up. Bishop Hell has no fear of snakes and warns Vyper he will set his snake bag on fire if there’s any funny business. Terak decides it better Mollock stays away. The hulking beast has a chequered history with the Palace plus Vyper was frustrated with Mollock’s actions last time he wrestled. Thinks Mollock cost him against Skinhead. Anyway things go much better this time. Takes it with VYPER’S SIDESHOW and the miserable run of Bishop Hell continues.
Pollux gets a shock win against Mad Jester by DQ. More ridiculous capers from Jester. Enters the ring holding a full length mirror “so Pollux can see how cr*p he is”. Of course it becomes a weapon as it gets smashed over Pollux and leaving shards all over the ring. Jester had been stringing it out refusing to go for the kill. He didn’t care that he might be disqualified for the act.

CARD 939 – MIMAS SPECTRUM:
Interplanetary champ, Wraith, easily swats away the challenge Heracles. Always seems to be a good pre-match show with Wraith these days. In this case it is Anaxis who ruffles some feathers. Throwing paint over Wraith so he cannot go fully invisible. Wraith is dripping in luminous yellow paint. Not a good look for him. Anaxis laughs and proclaims Wraith has no chance now his pathetic invisibility party trick has been ruined. Vertigo zips off down the runway after this and Heracles teases “look even your manager has deserted you. He knew you had no chance against me”. Vertigo speedily returns with a bucket of water. Anaxis hides behind Heracles thinking it’s for her but he tosses it over Wraith ridding him of the much of the paint. Heracles seems aggravated but takes it out on Anaxis. Blaming her for a failed plan. He leads her aggressively by the wrist outside before returning. An almost fully cleansed Wraith barely gives him time to get back through the ropes. Piling in with the punches. Heracles never really got going from this point. He looked really ticked off that his little plan didn’t work out. Wraith was mostly keeping him on back foot throughout. Poetic justice that the finishing move was SUDDEN DEATH given its usual added impetus by Wraith’s invisibility. Heracles takes a while to recover before stumbling away. He is heard saying to Anaxis “I don’t care. It’s a sh*t belt anyway”.
Terminus overcomes Wolf in a Turnbuckle Shock match. Wolf is everywhere. Attacking Paragon. Now back to his special match challenge against Terminus which he leads 4-1. Next up will be Chaos. If he comes out of this month wearing the GWF Heavyweight belt he could be a shoe in for wrestler of the year. It would be tough though given the tables were turned on his last wildman attack and he was the one who got injured. Also would he be able to adapt to this futuristic match? Doesn’t appear to be a problem for the most part. Wolf is making the running and isn’t shy about using the electrified turnbuckles. But Terminus is able to withstand the punishment and doing a good job of keeping away from Wolf’s potent claw. He knows Wolf’s injuries will take a toll the longer it goes. Sure enough this is how it happens. Wolf begins to wilt after about 10 minutes and Terminus takes over with a strong offensive barrage that culminated in HAMMERLOCK SLAM. A vital win to close things to 4-2 although Terminus still up against it and the matches are only going to get more violent from here. It’s a setback for Wolf. He’s been in such hot form but has now got to raise himself for Chaos whilst still contending with injuries. But if anyone can then Wolf can!
Assassin Air Raid take care of Titan Fury. The senior Titan tag team also falls to the Assassins. Just as well there were no exile implications this time around. Darkos claimed they were too chicken. It’s too bad Titan Fury couldn’t follow up on the recent great win over Theatre of Pain. Sadly Rising Sun remains a model of inconsistency. Tonight he was all at sea and lucky not to be pinned after being on the end of both finishers. He got out of the ring but Dragonmaster cannot swing it. Gets into similar peril and is finished off with FEET OF FURY. Wonder what the Ninja Assassins are making of this? They were sweeping all before them until they got needlessly suspended. On coming back they seem to be firmly replaced as the top guys on the team by Enigma and Lycosa.
Cassandra overcame Ms. Liberty. With rumours of a ladies ONLY THE BEST tournament rife Ms. Liberty wants a warm up match and challenges old rival Cassandra. Despite an energetic start she falters badly and when Cassandra executes WHIPS AND CHAINS a few times she cannot recover and is soon beaten.
The Centaurians beat Lower World by DQ. Fortunate win. Talisman had already been hit with SKULLWORKS and had to be saved by Blade. He was ripe for the pickings but Maleph ended up attacking him causing the disqualification. In the chaos and disorder mindset of Maleph this will be as good as a win.
Meteor crushed Gila. A couple of forgotten guys curtain jerk the show. At least they are on the TV for once. Meteor might even get booked again as he makes mincemeat of the weirdo Gila. Knocked him all ring and has it won in about a minute thanks to a chicken wing suplex.

CARD 940 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS – MIMAS SPECTRUM:
Wolf stunned Chaos to win the Heavyweight belt. When Chaos is asked in the build up about how he felt about leaving Wolf badly injured at Pelf Palace and saving Paragon he pretends not to remember what happened and simply says “my memory of the event is a bit foggy”. The fact he actually worked together with Paragon makes his skin crawl and he kind of regrets it. You could argue that Wolf’s actions leading to Chaos not winning the CPC belt has now made this harder for him. Aside from the fact Wolf was left injured Chaos now has added motivation to win. He always wants what is considered the top accolade and at the moment it’s arguably the CPC belt. But now Chaos has more reason not to lose here. Holding both belts will have weighed heavily on even his broad shoulders and might have made him inclined not to be too bothered about dropping the GWF belt but now potentially he could have nothing. Anyway what’s done is done and Wolf is where the action is. He’s always dangerous even if not in full health. Chaos finds this out to his cost. Wolf had made light of his ailments by saying “nothing a deep soak in my healing tank won’t fix”. I think everyone needs to have some of that because you wouldn’t of thought there was anything wrong. Wolf flew out the blocks and Chaos never knew what hit him. From the moment he had to kick out from a sunset flip almost immediately Chaos was fighting fires. But those fires were out of control. Wolf quickly able to follow up with SAVAGE FACE CLAW. Chaos suffers in the move and only just prises Wolf’s fingers off him but he is wobbling big time afterwards. Wolf’s rage is high at the best of times but the fact Chaos ruined his famed finisher just serves to increase it. Giving Chaos no time he unleashes another explosive burst of offence and then showing a surprise technical side applies a Scorpion Death Lock. It’s all too much for Chaos. Not clear if he willingly submitted or the ref made the call but the bell is signalled. Wolf is proclaimed champion and the crowd goes nuts for it. For once Wolf looks happy to have a belt. Usually a low priority but he celebrates like it’s the greatest night of his life. This is bad for Chaos. He stumbles away forlornly and has somehow got to raise himself for his trip to Pelf Palace now. The eyes of Terminus might light up from this outcome. Things seem to of fallen into place for him. For sure he might be thinking of challenging Wolf for the belt now. May of lost the Interstellar belt but the GWF Heavyweight belt is quite a nice upgrade.
This threw me. Those dice don’t always play ball! I love the whole CPC storyline. But it’s tough managing all these different titles.
Raven and Archon combine brilliantly to beat Vengeance and Blazing Skull. Vengeance gets his wish of teaming with Blazing Skull but he cannot get away from Raven that easily as will still face him here. What’s more this will form part of the SUDDEN DEATH scoring. The commentary nicknames their team ‘Sick and Twisted’. Vengeance cuts a memorable promo flanked by Blazing Skull and Maleph “Archon and Raven think they are a couple of good Samaritans. Let’s see how far we can push these filthy do gooders”. Inwardly he will be nervous though. Should more points get dropped he will be blamed on Aethra for involving an outsider. The consequences of which you’d be afraid to ask. There is immediate carnage as officials try to order Maleph away. Apparently the fine print had a clause for no managers being at ringside. Maleph’s reaction to this is to start trying to attack anything that moves. Even picking up a chair in his talon’s and ascending to a great height before dropping it into the crowd. It’s a miracle nobody was hurt. With nothing happening anytime fast Archon becomes the voice of reason and convinces officials to ignore the clause so everyone can have a contest. Maleph cackles and shouts “you’ll regret that”. So finally the battle begins and it’s gripping. The natural feud enemies mainly targeting each other. Raven and Vengeance dominates the first few minutes. There was a dramatic incident when Raven hit BLADERUNNER and Maleph tried to come in with a swooping attack. Raven picked up the groggy Vengeance and hurled him into Maleph more or less incapacitating the winged demon for the remainder. Then turned back to Vengeance and did his finisher again. Unfortunately it didn’t lead to a pin. Not long after this Blazing Skull against Archon took centre stage. This had moments too including a ref bump after Blazing went for a deathjump. The ref luckily not too hurt but looked annoyed and giving serious consideration to calling a DQ but then perhaps wisely realising he could be lynched for such a call and allows things to continue. The ring battle soon swings back to being Raven and Vengeance. Raven is a step ahead of Vengeance all the time and manages to close out a popular win via a Scorpion Death Lock. This particular move becoming very deadly tonight as will soon see. There were no afters. Vengeance looked too shellshocked and Blazing shows concern for the injured Maleph. Didn’t know Brymstonians had it in them to show concern or care for others. Even their own kind. Raven and Archon choose to vacate the ring quickly whilst the goings good.
Thunder and Overkill derailed New Order. The Gladiator line up shuffling hadn’t worked out too well at GALACTICON. It’s clear Thunder has a big future as a singles star even though Raven beat him. But he is back to where he is best, although some might say relegated, into tag action. Aethra is expecting the team to rule the tag division again by holding the belts. But first things first they need to deal with the resurgent New Order. Thrash leads her team out. Usually women walk behind as per their lowly status on Aethra but she is brimming with confidence given her own dominance of the ladies division. Feeling invincible and trash talking even more than usual. Mace looks like he wants to physically assault her just to shut her up but Dreggs puts a hand on his shoulder to hold him back. A year or two ago Mace might not of cared what his partner suggested but he’s a bit more level headed these days. Eventually his able to get his mitts on the Gladiators but it becomes a bit of a disaster. Thunder has a point to prove and really brings it. Initially it was pretty even against Mace but when Dreggs enters Thunder ramps it up. Catches Dreggs out with a sunset flip reversal and a pesky snake eyes roll does for him. It’s now the calmness of Mace comes to an end. Wastes no time in grabbing a chair and entering the ring. Thunder was busy goading Dreggs and was only aware of the intrusion once the chair was brought down on his head. Overkill steps over the top rope in response but with Mace armed and dangerous he is hesitant to get too close. Mace uses it keep the Gladiators back and slowly pulls Dreggs out of the ring. They are able to leave unharmed. Thunder not so lucky. The blow injured him for a couple of cards. The move from Mace hasn’t made things anymore heated as the feud is boiling as it is and the attitude from within the Aethran camp is ‘all is fair in war’.
Pegasus canters to victory over Dynamo. Pegasus continues to languish much lower down the card than anyone would expect. He remains relaxed about it. His talent is too great to be out of any title picture for long. He can easily challenge again for whatever he desires. In a way it’s a good time to be out of it whilst the two main belts jockey for position as to which is the greater prize. Wait it out a while and see how things play out. Anyway tonight’s opponent is an old rival, Dynamo. They’ve met a few times over the years and incredibly Dynamo has had some success against him. Not tonight though. Pegasus slaughtered him and also got a cheer for booting the annoying Reynard B. Guile up the backside. That was payback for interfering and ruining PROJECT PEGASUS. Pegasus managed to keep well on top and after putting a few more tokens on Dynamo went for it again. This time there was no reprieve for Dynamo.
Vyper too wily for Manslaughter. Manslaughter not been seen in a while due to suspension. He returns against Vyper. The lay off hasn’t helped him. Often in the shadow of more illustrious team mates and in his absence the likes of Enigma and Talon have made pretty big strides by exiling the Titan Gliders. Also doesn’t help that this his direct singles feud rival Ursa Major has a much greater preference for facing Cruiserweight rivals in the ring. Anyway he’s up against a guy coming back to hot form in Vyper. Again no Mollock. After Vyper described Mollock as being like a ball and chain round his ankle Terak has been wary of putting them too close together again. Mollock is struggling to understand why Vyper doesn’t want him nearby. Vyper says “it’s not like I don’t like Mollock but he’s unpredictable. If he can show some more control I’d be happy to have him with me. Of course I know he has immense value as a protector of the team”. So for the match it is only Terak outside. Darkos picks and chooses these days. On this occasion not present using the excuse that intelligence suggests a possible attack from the Terrorists so too risky. But in reality probably couldn’t be bothered. Manslaughter could of badly done with him in hindsight. Vyper made light of the power differential to outwrestle and outbrawl Manslaughter. The fans always love to see VYPER’S SIDESHOW and he duly obliges for a routine victory. Vyper is now surging up the rankings.
FDF back in the groove over the Stormtroopers. Suddenly there is a bit of interest in this feud. FDF get back to basics. Last time out they wrestled like individuals. Here the fast tags and maintaining freshness is back and bob’s your uncle they win with relative ease. Cassandra was screaming at her guys like a banshee throughout but it made very little difference. Everyone was just trying to grin and bear the assault on their ear drums. Anyway the FDF is on top mostly. Only time the Stormtroopers had any momentum was a dastardly pin save turning the tide. It would of been a travesty if US. Patriot had succumbed to the STORMTROOPER BLITZ that soon followed. But he survived and made sure foul play wouldn’t win the day. Jack comes in after this and does a great job against Powerhouse before handing back off to a recovered Adam. His speed is too much and although it took a lot off effort he managed to use ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST to end the resistance of the mountainous Powerhouse.
Skinhead beats Wildcat by DQ. Would of expected a verdict like this to be the other way round but maybe Wildcat’s desire to win meant he took it too far. Shame because he wrestled a decent match. Mixed success with WILDCAT STRIKE but to be in a position to go for it showed how well he was doing. First time he connected but Johnny Rocket is an expert at the distractions and saved Skinhead. Second time not so lucky as he misses. At least it didn’t cost the match. That was entirely down to Wildcat getting uncharacteristically hardcore.
Sleeze squashed Ursa Major. A match booked purely on the back of Cruiserweight implications. Sleeze is a mega successful tag guy but sees no reason why he cannot maybe one day add a singles title to all that. Certainly after this because he more or loss squashed Ursa Major. Used METALHEAD MAULER a couple times before a driving knee to the throat polished it off. Dismay for Ursa Major as he goes from the high of upsetting Draconian Sheik to this.

Latest News:
Despite the success of GALACTICON 20 the cash still isn’t exactly flowing through the turnstiles and the GWF is trying everything to keep the fans flocking in and the merchandise flying off the shelves. Their other top event isn’t immune to tinkering as ONLY THE BEST undergoes a last minute rebranding effort. Wrestlers will be competing for a BADGE OF GLORY and are guaranteed to receive title shots which they can cash in at any point during the remainder of the year with any match stipulation they desire. Colby nearly splits his sides with laughter when he sees the big promotional spend of it all and how wrestlers are now competing for the ‘BOG’ awards. Red faces all round but it’s too late now. The ladies of the fed were pretty ticked off too. Despite murmurings that they would have a tournament of their own again nothing has been booked. After a near riot at GWF HQ something may happen on a dark show instead to try and placate. Another bad thing for the GWF is due to the strain the tournaments place on scheduling they have stated none of their belts need to be defended next month with normal service resuming after that. CPC steals a march by promoting on Spacebook and other social media platforms “if you want to see titles being defended come to Pelf Palace”. A perfect spreading of propaganda exercise. It is unclear whether the CPC will be sending any of its wrestlers to compete. It will undermine the tournaments if they don’t but guys like Paragon will be keen to test themselves. Solaris is not in sole charge but seems to be the media scapegoat for all of this. He is not saying too much but admits the deception of Commissioner Grogan did knock the fed for six but he truly believes the future planning in place means all will be ok in the end. For now we must all take the rough with the smooth.
Wolf cannot stay out the news. He had an action packed month taking on both Chaos and Terminus but before that he was attacking Paragon at Pelf Palace during the CPC title match. He is making enemies everywhere. Wolf almost got a double hit at the Palace because it was also a chance to injure future opponent Chaos. But the tables got turned as Chaos was enraged by him costing the whole match just as he was looking like he might beat Paragon for the CPC belt. He beat Wolf down from behind allowing Paragon to escape unhurt. We had the shocking sight of Chaos and Paragon actually working together, albeit briefly, to deal with a common pest. It meant Wolf was the injured one which, to take any silver lining from it, benefitted Chaos later in the month when they contested the GWF Heavyweight belt. However Wolf is riding a wave of incredible form. He overcame his injuries and totally overwhelmed Chaos to take the belt from him. For someone who doesn’t covet gold and just wants to feud it is a remarkable achievement and he has a very solid belt record now that is right up there with other legends. Whether he makes a big commitment to holding onto it is another thing entirely but the way he celebrated winning it suggests he will.
More bad news for the GWF as the highly respected GWI magazine starts banging the drum in support of the CPC. Maybe there are CPC insiders now on staff or perhaps some money has changed hands. Whatever the reason is they now list CPC first in their rankings pages indicating that at the moment it is, in their opinion, superior. This could be a similar rip in the wrestling fabric as another big historic event. The breaking of the code changed the landscape forever. Now with the CPC perhaps overtaking the GWF as the premiere fed there is the potential for another change in the landscape. As mentioned previously guys like Solaris will not be drawn on all this. Fed up with all the doom mongering. They firmly believe the fed is going in the right direction and it will recover very soon. Some cheesed off fans did get on Spacebook with one referring to Solaris as “a senile old man more interested in Kronos than the fed’s future prosperity”.
Star Warrior rages at Magnus Colby for trying to take advantage of his kid sister, Supernova. She was so traumatised as not to say anything but it’s clear he made a pass at her, perhaps even more, with promise of riches and protection as their continued ladies champion. Probably a plan concocted by Colby and Pelf to draw the Champions over to the Palace and strengthen the brand even more. Supernova has to go back there very soon to defend her belt. Will she even show up? The rumour was she would voluntarily vacate but Star Warrior wants her to stand up to Colby and not be bullied. The best way they can back at the CPC is to be successful and hold their belts. He is thinks this will show the cosmos that GWF wrestlers are better and ultimately save the fed.
Other CPC related news sees Bishop Hell confront his employers again. He wants a bigger part to play or he will leave. As one of the most notorious villains in history it would be a mistake to let him go. They think just because the Bishop is exiled from the GWF he won’t move and become a willing lackey. But the Bishop claims he has offers pouring in. One time ally Thantos (remember the Satanic Cult?) speaks up for him. Even though Bishop Hell’s recent results have been pretty lousy. Colby and Pelf respectfully listen to Thantos and are willing to see what he suggests. The idea put forth is to give the Bishop a concerted run with the Interstellar belt. Easier to do now Terminus has dropped it. It will also keep him away from Paragon and the other Penthouse Suite guys. With all CPC gold dramatically increasing in importance over the past month the title is no longer seen as a gimmick and is now a hot commodity. The Bishop should be more than happy with that. Where does this leave Terminus? After such a long run as the champ he’d be entitled to expect a rematch but in truth he is content to temporarily come out of contention. His feud with Wolf is all consuming and Wolf now holds the GWF Heavyweight belt. It could very well be shoehorned into their feud and would make a worthy replacement to the Interstellar belt for Terminus. He can’t believe his luck really.
INJURED – Wolf (1), Colussus (2); Thunder (2); SUSPENDED – none; EXILED – Titan Gliders (6)
SUDDEN DEATH SCORING … GLADIATORS 24-19 WAR … To say Aethran ministers were annoyed with Vengeance is an understatement. They don’t want him involving outsiders and picking partners willy nilly. The only thing that might of saved him from being totally slaughtered was the fact he was the one who lost rather than Blazing Skull. That meant the loss of points were down to him and not the outsider. It could also have triggered a massive problem between the Gladiators and the Brymstonians that might of spiralled given neither race is the type to back down from anything. Lucky for him Thunder and Overkill had done the business earlier in the card against New Order to keep the status quo.
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
VYPER – Out of nowhere Vyper climbs the rankings. Has spent last few years mixing tag and singles probably to his detriment but we all remember how he once won the Heavyweight belt briefly. Can he do it again? Maybe a bit far fetched but the way he blew away both Bishop Hell and Skinhead has to be commended. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
FROZEN FURY – When these two hooked up could be forgiven this was more of a gimmick short lived tag team in much the same vein as Panic Attack a couple years ago. But they have taken the tag bracket by storm and remain worthy tag champs. Rebel Empire just cannot get the better of them.

DARK SHOW – VENUS SPACE STATION COMPLEX:
After the fuss kicked up by female wrestlers and fans alike the fed hosts an OTB style tournament for the females to placate everyone. Not that much of the cosmos will get to see it on a dark show. Certainly Velar doesn’t think it is worth the effort as she declines leaving them in the lurch with only 7 competing. Perhaps she is under order from the CPC. Cassandra lucks in with a bye to the second round as a consequence. Matches are just booked regular so DQ outcomes possible. Another thing that caused annoyance.
First Round - Ms. Liberty knocks out Maxine Babe. Maxine spends most of the time trying to be all catty and draw a DQ. Calling Ms. Liberty ugly and suggesting her marriage to US. Patriot must be on the rocks what with her looks being a real passion killer. Ms. Liberty ignores it all. Just works hard and eventually knocks Maxine out with THE LIBERATOR followed by a dropkick off the turnbuckle. Looks down on her after and jokes “she’s no sleeping beauty” … Thrash beats Amazonia by DQ. This would of been a worthy final between arguably the two top women. At least in the current climate. Probably not among their more memorable matches though. Amazonia looking good but it’s as if she forgets this was regular rules as she smashed Thrash with her shield costing the match … Supernova eliminated Anaxis. In reference to recent turbulent times Anaxis taunts Supernova for being a crybaby. Seems to get to Supernova as she takes CALL OF THE SIREN twice in first few minutes and another later. But she clings on. Returns SPEED OF LIGHT three times without reply but no pin. It took a skull-splitting running lariat off the turnbuckle to ultimately beat Anaxis. Boy, that was a long match.
Second Round - Ms. Liberty reaches the final after beating Thrash by DQ. Always going to be tough for Ms. Liberty. Thrash is like a machine at the moment. However somehow she sneaks into the final as Thrash makes the same mistake as Amazonia. Throwing Ms. Liberty aggressively into some tables. She did not take the decision well and was on a warpath assaulting anyone that came near her … Supernova progresses past Cassandra via a count-out. Cassandra was the beneficiary of Velar taking a duvet day and received a bye. Definitely gives her a much better chance than expected being fresh as a daisy. But she can’t make it count. Supernova just too quick and agile even with the 2 tokens carried forward. Under pressure Cassandra bails outside. Reasoning that if she can turn it into a brawl might have a chance. She didn’t reckon on Supernova flying over the top rope in spectacular style and flooring her with a crossbody. The impact took all the wind out of Cassandra and she wasn’t able to make it back in time.
Final - Supernova triumphs against Ms. Liberty. Popular final between two good friends. They shared a quick hug before getting down to the business. Being a bad loser Thrash came out and hurled verbals from ringside. No officials were brave enough to eject her in case they got a spike embedded into them. So the two finalists have to get on with things against an unpleasant backdrop. Ms. Liberty hints an upset could be at hand after she does fantastically to kickout after SPEED OF LIGHT three times. However rather than get energised by such feats she gets progressively weaker. A Supernova Scissors Flip catches her out and she’s pinned. More nastiness greets the trophy ceremony. Before Supernova can be handed the trophy Thrash intercepts it and smashes it into the ground breaking it in several pieces. An embarrassed official shovels it up with a dustpan and brush and empties it into a bag. The bag is then handed over to Supernova. What a farce!
